This was so cool. I did this for a job I was applying for and they loved it.
I just really want to thank you for this tutorial. I've spent 4 hours learning this project, rewinding and fast forwarding and its all worth it! (well, I also had to put the playback speed at .75 coz you were talking so fast but I get why you had to lol). Thank you for sharing this amazing tutorial!
Fantastic Tutorial! Narration was alittle fast to me as a semi-beginner,but the captions were a BIG help! Can't wait to attempt this!
Love it! May be too complicated for skill level but I am going to give it a try. Thanks a ton for another great video! Hope you are feeling better - I was starting to wonder where you had been.
Thank you!! I was able create my own sliced head using your tutorial.
Nathaniel... Love your videos... Love your teaching style... Please continue helping those of us that are learning Photoshop... Keep up the good work :)
Yayyy Nate is back~ awesome tutorial as always!
Amazing as expected Nathan
I really appreciate everything you do
you really inspire me
wooow, monster of a project..! amazing! took me hours to follow along, uploading soon, and sure will tag u! thank you Nat!
Intricate series of steps... spectacular end results. That, Maestro Nate, was fun.
Mind Blown at the end .. amazing filter tricks
Great tutorial with a bunch of interesting tips. Thank U!
This is a great tutorial and a very cool slice effect
Perfect Tutorial!! Thankss A lot !
Awesome work. Thank you!
what a journey! thank you so much for sharing this tutorial! Does anyone know how to animated this next?
Thanks for tutorial, though I had some problems with them paths, so instead of using all of them at once I just worked with one at the time.
Really amazing video, thank you very much
I have to admit I was struggling while following this tutorial but it turned out to be great. Thank you very much!
Glad it turned out good! 😁
Good to have you back!!!!!!! Finally
Thanks! Ready for a long stay with no more head colds!
Awesome! @Tutvid, what is your size and quality for this project? I noticed that on mine, my shapes as well as the edges of my pictures began to get extremely pixelated when I zoomed in to make tweaks, but yours is pretty consistent and clear. The picture quality itself isn't the most HD, but the ellipsis shouldn't be pixelated. Tips?
thank you this was so helpful!
That is so cool. I will try that fot sure!
Hello from New York City! Glad to have you back. Thanks for your hard work! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video! 👌
Love it mate! Sliced myself. I'll put it on insta! Had to slow playback speed slightly lol :)
Really cool. A lot of photoshop "tutorial" accounts spend a lot of time flexing their personal talents and not teaching. Not saying that is a good or bad thing but I appreciate the fact that you make videos like this that can help others.
This is so sick thank you
you are awesome sir, teaching us a lot of advanced techniques with free videos , I think you Tuotorial did not waste my time , you are awesome . !!!!!
Thank you so much! every point was explained so well!
great man
just continue
I followed this tutorial and it only took me 4 hours from start to finish to get it done :D But seriously, you have the best tutorials I've seen because you really talk about every little detail you need to know (mostly these keyboard shortcuts). The only time I stalled was when I fucked up somehow and not because your tutorial had something missing or you didn't explain it well enough. It was really easy to follow and I'm so surprised that i finished this one with ease and no headaches because I'm a total newbie in Photoshop! Thank you so much!
Reio Riisna, Thank you so much! 🍻

is there any shortcut to rotate the brush fast? thank you
thank you
Cool. I’ve been following your tutorials for a few months now and have learned a lot. Do you have any videos/tutorials on alien human with scaled skin and blue/greenish skin tone?
Is there any reason not to Group each of the two related slice/color layers before doing the position shifting (moving)?
Your new subscriber....excellent tutorial and variety too
Thanks!
can I use gimp for creating similar effects?
What do you use for recording your screen?
Amazing
Gustav Jakobsen thank you so much!

You've been missed!
Pumped to be back!
Why your photos have like that perfect resolution, when i use photos they seem like potatoes ( Awesome video )
Download photos at HD 3000pixels least
how to downlopad ps give me a link please
nice vid...glad youre better
Better than ever! Thanks so much! 👍
For me , it's too complex tutorial while others did it within 10-15 minutes at most. But for they who search for the detail, here is right place 😁.
nice
Thanks, man!
I'm just curious why you never seem to use Alt + right click to select layers. I find it extremely useful myself and really helps when you have many layers. It is a great hotkey command to help work flow.
I actually tend to prefer to Cmd/Ctrl-click with the Move tool to jump to that layer instantly. When recording I'm desperately trying to slow myself down. One way I do that is the manual scroll of the Layers panel.
I see!
I know you said we should use our own photos but it would be a big help if you provided the photo link anyway.
Good idea. I'll find the Adobe Stock link and post it in the description. Here it is: stock.adobe.com/images/handsome-athletic-young-man-isolated-on-grey-background/87307913
You've probably said this at some point but why do you have a banana icon in your tool panel?
I did a short video on how to get that tool. It's a hidden easter egg tool in Photoshop. Run a search on my channel for "Banana tool" and you'll find it :D
8:01 is not working. I have the newest version. what is the function called, rather do it with the mouse on tabs so i know whats being done? when i try either command it simply groups it. Something is left out. I'm trying both key commands.Very complicated w the key commands. Wish there was a regular way with the mouse in tabs
where do you find these photos?
:)
He gets them from the Adobe Stock library. I believe he even said so at the beginning of this video
please write it ctrl+alt+shift+e- merge leyers in new one
im watching this one year after upload to the day
I wanna try this for my resume photo, would it be too much?
Outside of the box and creative can be good! Just make sure it fits with the field in some way i.e. I wouldn't want my doctor to have this as his resume photo.
hahaha U would run away if I see my doctor's resume with this photo. Mine will be for photo retouching resume and portfolio.
First here. now lemme go and watch
Edgar Designs, Thank you so much! 🍻
Been using ai only lately! really forgot how much fun photoshop is!
Photoshop is the OG!
got stuck on 14:19. Invert option was not available and I discovered i had 2 layers of my subject on one layer. Im confused and have given up. So disappointed. But great video
Same problem here, I couldn't invert the selection.
где то я уже это видела
thank you for sharing your skills :)) but maybe try to talk a little bit slower.. :D
very nice thank you. but for myself, you talk and go way to fast. taking me a week or better to get 3/4 way through it.. would also like to instead of a color fill, use another photo(s)
quả chuối đâu ra kia vậy
@Gabriel Rodriguez I'm Vietnamese, I can't speak English, Hoang Sa + Truong Sa belongs to VIETNAMESE.
Thanks!
I tried to follow this after 2 glasses of wine. Gave up and finished the bottle. I'll be back. Without wine though
I don't understand why you didn't select just the head from the beginning and went all the way to do another selection etc.
"im gonna shift the eyes to the right"
>actually shifts to the left
oh ok....
Stage right!
just move them in the right direction, not the wrong direction.
I am 10 minutes in and ready to smash my computer
how fast can you talk really
