- Thought I'd try to make a rap battle. Not sure if i'll do more of these but this was really fun! A big thank you to itsannachloem and Kenzie and Atomic!

Because her magic is incredible and with a little help she learned friendship
Sunsets ran smooth, it felt continuous, and her roasts were pretty darn good.
Starlight is a little more rigid but her roasts were damned good in the second part, but she spoke straight facts for the entirety.
why thank you, and I think Starlight had some bite back just as well as mine, loved how she did it
On one hand, Sunset has bacon hair.
On the other hoof, Starlight dueled an alicorn to a stalemate and banished a chaos god.

Both did really good but I think I'm gonna have to give this to Starlight. Starlight had better jabs (though Sunshim also had some pretty good ones) and I prefer Starlights rhyme schemes.

People forget that Starlight literally banished Discord's physical body from the school by herself, just disintegrated the God of chaos because he was annoying
That'd why she and Discord were both technically written out of the movie.
And morons make the pitiful excuse that Discord allowed Starlight to banish him.
If so, why didn’t Discord become physical again? Why did it take Starlights power to make him physical again?

Where was it ever confirmed by the writers? And writers have very little say on the story as their contract workers on the later seasons.
Also, we’ve seen writers say one thing only for it to be over turned later on.
If a statement is not shown in the source material, then it’s not something I consider.
I'm glad that someone finally did this, and I think you did it pretty well, Scootertrix!
You got voice actresses that do the voices pretty well, some pretty good writing, and some nice splices for the editing, rather than it just being an AMV.
If you want, I'd suggest you should do some more rap battles! I've got some suggestions for you, on that!

Sunset Shimmer did a better job rapping than Starlight Glimmer. Better yet, they worked better as friends than rivals.
Oh damn I'm giving it to Starlight. I love Sunset's flow but Starlight's disses took the cake!
Both are great characters but I like starlight better, because sunset`s character seems a little rushed, starlight had a lot of time to develop and the way she reacts to various situations is realistic and makes a lot of sense. But they`re both rad! The voices were perfect for both! Sunset seemed to be better in rapping but I`m gonna support starlight!
Starlight seems rushed because she only needed 3 episodes to star in to turn good and showed more signs of keeping calm in stressful situations than twilight she had a little low amount of episodes she's the main focus up to that point so seems a little Mary sue ish while sunset needed a whole movie and see how her reputation gets better until she's very liked after that they still keep going with her with wall flower and her DEVELOPEMENT is complete
I agree with you. I love both characters, but I prefer Starlight. Sunset is kinda overrated in my opinion, even if she is the main reason that I like Equestria Girls.
@Iniquitous Lemon Starlight had 3 to 4 episodes to redeem herself and learn about friendship, sunset's was like 5 seconds ;-;
@@6-dpegasus425 I have to agree with that. While I do kinda wish Starlight could’ve had more episodes to learn about friendship, I do think her progression was more natural than Sunset’s. I personally thought Sunset’s reformation was a little too rushed and she needed more time to develop into what she became in Rainbow Rocks and onwards. Even as a fan of Sunset, this is the reason why I think she’s extremely overrated.
@Princess Star yeah exactly how I feel. By the time Rainbow Rocks starts, it's as if she's already fully learned friendship, meanwhile we got to see Starlight struggle to understand what a friendship lesson and why bonding needs to be natural and not forced, etc

@@olserknam also Remember that magic doesn't even work on discord so there should be no effect anyway. Plus Starlight could always use the spell on discords ghost and Discord is fully gone.

I love both of these characters, but I have to side with Starlight just because of how powerful she is. The only reason Twilight beat her is cos she recruited her.

What I like about Starlight is that she's not a b****, she's not afraid to speak her mind. She's not afraid to be honest with someone.

Starlight had way more time for her character to develop so she's just written better. Sunset had to be explained and redeemed nearly immediately so she was never given depth.
Sunset won easily. Also, one of the burns from Starlight doesn't really apply. Sunset does have a backstory.
To be fair, you have to go out of your way to the comics to find out why Sunset ran off through the portal.
Which is kinda weak.
Sunset somehow figured out that Celestia was planning to make a new alicorn. Sunset demanded that Celestia do it NOW, so Sunset becomes Celestia's equal. Celestia says no, and that Sunset was no longer her student.
So Sunset ran off through the portal that she was shown earlier that day. With no idea where said portal led.
Both of their backstories are weak, but at least Starlight's back story was shown IN THE SHOW, and didn't require homework.
In the movie, Celestia basically just said, "Sunset rejected my teachings of friendship, and left through the portal in search of power."
We only really know about Sunset being Celestia’s first failed student. With Starlight we even know where she grew up, a childhood friend of hers, and that she has at least one parent. Where’s Sunset’s parents? What was her life like before becoming Celestia’s student?
@@sonicgen20 You'd THINK that Sunset's parents would hit up Celestia and say, "hey, we haven't heard from Sunset in a while, and she didn't come home for Hearths Warming. Is she on an expedition or something?"
Still wish we knew where human Sunset is, or if she's alive.
Not gonna lie, I kinda like the "Unicorn Sunset killed and disposed of human Sunset, and took her place" fan theory.
