I’m currently watching this video with this speaker and the light issue was fixed with an update I did on the app. Now if it’s off it’ll be off when I put it on again and any other light settings are remembered
When its charged the white led near the charging port will turn off. It gives audible warning with the power is low or look on your device or in the SoundCore app
It's the bass up button above the charging port on my speaker. It flashes when charging, goes solid when charged. I just went and looked to double check
I don't have a way to quantifiably measure that and give you a number. I didn't find it bothersome. I use it with CZcams all the time. Anker has a pretty good warranty and return policy if you buy from Amazon and have a problem.
I love this powerful speaker and the lights are beautiful. If the lights are distracting you, why don't you just switch it off? This speaker is worth every penny!

How do I dry off my Flare 2 after complete submersion? My one fell in the pool and i picked it right back up. Now if i shake it i can hear water inside it.

You can turn off the lights but, can't make it default as explained. Sorry I haven't tried the UE speaker to compare it to.

I just picked up one of these used. Sound quality is great but would love to know if there is any indication that the speaker is fully charged.

You should be able to change that in your Bluetooth settings, or at least I can on Android

I have only tried the Anker myself and I like it. It's my main speaker still.
JBL Flip5 sounds more better with clean sound & deep base...

Does it work in the shower or will it short out in the shower?
That's not something I have tried but it is IPX7 rated. Most speakers sound bad if wet unless they are specifically designed for it.
