- After an epic summer at Camp Shallow Lake, the Wildcats return to East High where they prepare a stage production of “High School Musical 3: Senior Year.” But plans are disrupted when Principal Gutierrez announces that Disney has decided to make the long-awaited “High School Musical 4: The Reunion” movie on location at their beloved high school, and the Wildcats will play featured extras in the movie.

This is a going away show. It is already announced no Olivia Rodrigo at all. The rest of the series cast is back. From High School Muscial movies we get Corbin Bleu, Lucas Grabeel, Kaycee Stroh (all of whom appeared in the series prior to the fourth season), Monique Coleman, Alyson Reed and Bart Johnson. There is an option invitation to the whole original cast to appear. There are only 8 episodes again compared to there were 10 and 12 episodes the first two seasons when Rodrigo was around. It just did not pull in the numbers it used to after the first two seasons so this is its final season with everyone they can get to appear from the movies and the series. It should be interesting, but they are dropping all 8 episodes tomorrow (no weekly drop).
