- In this elden ring video I'm testing whether any of the main bosses in elden ring can survive a duo of the strongest tarnished NPCs.
I've decided to use the strongest variations of Vyke and Bernahl which are respectively found in the Lord Contender's Evergaol and farum azula and pit them together against the main bosses.
They have roughly 6k hp each and can use only one flask.

I remember my first time fighting Vyke, god what a powerhouse. That spear is just lethal

Meanwhile I struggle on Godefroy even though I also smashed Godrick 😑
I like that Gideon just assumes from the start these days that he’s going to need help. He’s keeping those expectations low for himself 😂

Keep them low and he won't be disappointed.
Imagine being the two tarnished that became the closest to be Elden Lord one reaching the mountain top of the giants and the other one even getting into Farum Azula and in that long and arduos path only having found ONE SINGLE golden seed...
Yeah most npcs should have had more flasks, and fuck them doing the animation of trying to drink an empty one. It makes the characters seem like idiots.

At that point, Elden Beast's fight with him _was_ personal. Still, these two did very well, overall.
It's funny since he went to Farum Azula with the Blasphemous Claw to challenge Maliketh. Meanwhile he can't put a dent in the guy even when he has someone equally powerful to himself helping out 😂
Bernahl is a beast, but he bit off more than he could chew.
Honestly this same duo plus Gideon would be an interesting trio.

There's a reason he was the closest to becoming elden lord before us
there is a reason he was able to get that dragussy.
Not that high actually, I went frame by frame in that part as well because I thought the same, but for some reason Bernahl's bonk connects MUCH EARLIER than it should. Maybe it's because of Godfrey's animation making his hitbox wonky, but you can see it if you do the same.
They both attack at the same time, when Vyke lands the first Spear, it looks like it causes 2100~ damage, but if you keep going frame by frame after that, Bernahl's bonk goes straight through Hoarah without dealing any damage (instead, it dealt damage much sooner that it should, when the attack was still behind Bernahl's back).Then just a little afterwards, Bernahl's second bonk deals about 800- 900~ damage, and Vyke ups the sum with the second spear to 4K~ total. Which basically checks out, Bernahl's first bonk for a little over 900~ and Vyke's first spear for 1200~ (both doing counter damage, as Loux is attacking), then another 1900 damage split about 800/1100 for Bernahl and Vyke respectively.

The elden beast using like, legitiment tactics combos and mixups is kinda scary, like it looks genuinely intelligent. (Ex it used the lingering nebula explosions then a delayed nebula in the middle of it so as soon as the lingering one was done the second would explode, or using sword combos to push them into nebulae)
Beast is always by far the most intelligent boss in all of these, he never derps out or does any silly AI goofs, always tactical and usually only loses due to being outgunned or outcheesed.
Smart Elden Beast. Stayed away as far as possible to get in some ranged dmg.

@redduskironsky1058 cannot remember the item/spell description that tells you this, but Lansseax (the dragon you fight outside the Royal capital on the hill with all the lightning plants and rams) is Placidusax's daughter, and she apparently 'Favoured Vyke above all others'.
The community has hilariously memed this into something either lewd or romantic. Though it definitely could be one of those with the GRRM writing influence, it's very likely just a platonic thing. I just appreciate the joke.

29:24 this other version of Nebula (there are so many!) seems to have short range at first, but it extends pretty far tbh
The elden beast actually did the other version which fires in a straight line, you can see a bit of movement of his left arm
@@DB-ve1sg I noticed that, but I meant the continuous explosions from 29:25 to 29:30, before the straight-pattern Nebula showed up and didn't explode just yet

Easier but bernahl is really tanky
Probably harder. The thing with Gideon is people smash him in the face all the time so he can't cast anything. If there's something taking agro for him at the front, his damage output is nuts.
If you use the version of Nepheli you can summon for Godfrey, I could see her pulling a lot of weight, while Gideon melts through the bosses from the back

Loved the video! If you can, you should also try a group of 5-10 albinauric archers with their wolves vs bosses. They sure enough gave me a tough time.
A single archer dishes out 1000+ a hit. With 5 of them, the only salvation is if the boss has serious AoEs, like Malenia or Maliketh. Will not count Godfrey, because his longer animations doom him against bosses with higher damage

@@TheThreeHeadedDragon he didn’t miss them. It’s because they are tarnished models that they have s after being knocked down. Basically the meteor only hits them once whereas with other enemies it hits multiple times.
@@ex-creaturecoby4643 No, he did miss them. He landed, what amounts to, twenty feet in front of them. That was probably where the player model was.
@@TheThreeHeadedDragon No he didn't miss them, you can see the damage they took from the meteor attack, but since they're tarnished models they get s when knocked down

Not gonna lie, but Vyke hitting Gideon with a dodge light, then Bernahl following up with the running attack that flowed into a Vyke roll catch, at which point Bernahl got him with his weapon ash, then Vyke got a quick stab in forcing vision to roll directly into Bernahl for a light attack for the W was sick as fuck. It's like they knew they had it in the bag so they ended it there and then.

Imagine a game where you manage a party of heroes like this and the AI plays the battle. You would customize their equipment with what you found and make each of them fight with certain tactics and level them up.
This one is actually one of the cooler ones in my opinion. I always love cheering for the underdogs, and enemies here in elden ring that don't get as much of the spotlight. Especially the more reptilian ones for me. X]

It's not actually Blaidd, it's an assassin dressed like him. They just reused the moveset, even the bite grab lmao
I love how some of these boss fights are just checks. Mogh is a DPS check. Rykard is a HP check. Radahn is a HP OR a DPS check. Placidusax is a resistance check.
Unpopular opinion, Astel is always my favorite to watch with these fights. Everything about his move set, the colors, the swings and the cosmic powers is just so well designed. He is seriously my favorite boss.
I like him too, just don't like his stupid AI, keep spamming melee and keep misses...... He could easily win most of the challenges if he just spam meteor storm

The fact these guys lost to some of the most rage-inducing bosses makes them so much more relatable. It also shows that even pros have bad days

I'm a firm believer that Bernahl spending some fights (Elden Beast in particular) just standing around casually while Vyke ran in is what cost them victory. It fits Bernhal to be a selfish bastard, being a Volcano Manor Recusant and all, but still.

Huh. It hadn't occurred to me until now how much overlap there is between Elden Beast and Astel's move sets.
After seeing about every boss , overall i love seeing Rahdan, laser golem and Astel fight. Win or lose theyre epic to watch fight and love their designs. Melenia is a well made fight. I just want to know why they made a couple other bosses seem harder and tanker than the final boss.
Well, in a playthrough without any help, you more likely to fight the elden beast then get to where malenia is located, f=like for me I didn't get to Malenia until after I became elden lord

Dude, that Laser Golem was playing no games when it finished off Vyke. Knocked him flat and caged him in, and just killed him instantly on the return.
The strongest two tarnished after LetMeSoloHer and that one guy who speedran Elden Ring with nothing but a Torch.

To think that like 3 limgrave characters make it so far into the game. Bernahl out of nowhere just “yeah I teach ash of wars” all the way to volcano manor with a 2v2 recusamt invasion, and then just btw is at Farum Azula and here’s an item that parries Destined Death right before you fight Maliketh. Nepheli can be a summon against Godfrey. Pay respects to gigachad Alexander.
add ofnir and you would have a pretty good party comp, i dont think there are any healer npcs so cant have the full 4 man party
You should do two rounds with Gideon, one with Boss Spells and one without. For example, in this video, if Gideon had Scarlet Aeonia he might have still lost but he probably would have at least killed one of them or even gotten a draw due to lingering Scarlet Rot.
He actually did but never used it. I always use the same safe file and he has all boss spells
@@BjornTheBear Then how does he have Triple Rings of Light and Comet Azur since he loses both of them if he has all three boss spells?
@@zacharyt.2694could be that when you meet him in game, his spells are based off of who you fight. Therefore to give a legitimate and balanced experience he can’t use all of every op incant and spell. Whereas in the video, he is not the same version you meet in game, so he can artificially be given access to every spell/incant
