And that's EXACTLY why she was eliminated. She was TOO INSPIRING. TOO INFLUENTIAL FOR A "BIG GIRL". Toccara gave every last one of us chunky gals hope that we too could be represented on the runways of high fashion. Tyra couldn't have that kind of competition. Toccara being eliminated was truly a blessing though, because if you listen to the other models, those that won were contractually obligated to NOT surpass Tyra Banks.
Toccara's media training should be studied. The way she dodged the messiness in this interview is Matrix-level how she dropped them bullets in the air.
I mean she was a correspondent on BET for years. She interviewed & hosted many celebrities & gigs. So interviews herself, she got it

Omg I always wondered what had happened to her. This was my boo right here 💕. She represent girls that look like me on tv (full figured, black, tall, and pretty), which wasn’t popular back then. She started way before it was popular to see full figure women modeling. They were not common how they are now in Shein, Fenty, Pretty Little Things, or before an Ashley Graham was even thought of 💁🏽♀️!
When she got on ANTM the only one who truly supported her and encouraged her was Miss J. They used to try and play her on that show like putting her in blah a$$ clothes, overlooking her, etc.

Toccara made an indelible imprint on reality television back in 2004. I can recall being 19 years old at the time and a rabid fan of ANTM when Ms. Jones made her GRAND entrance to audition for Tyra. But the icing on the cake ( pun intended) was that Toccara delivered in aces charisma, beauty, honesty, authenticity, kindness, toughness, humor, intellect... i have always respected snd admired her gift of charm and personality. I am so proud of her remaining true to all of those past attributes 20 years later. 🙌🏽👏🏽
