I'm assuming since it was brought it in the cheating video, he may have admitted to the cheating. But yeah, I had an STI for an entire year because my partner had it previously before we were together. Didn't know until my pap was done. So yeah that definitely happens.

The clone one is not bad at all, usually the crisis you have when cheated on is "what did they have that I didn't?!" But I'm this case; literally nothing. Sure it's annoying but you just need to set up proper boundaries with your clone... Or kill them depending on the scenario

The clone thing would be much better if it turned out the other you was the real one and you were the clone. I'm glad at least one of them realized that.
You don't need to use your imagination to come up with an answer. Horrific revelations of infidelity happen all the time:

The worst here is the one hidden in the clone discussion, that the clone is a BETTER version of you. Because I think that causes some really long-term existential destruction: not only am I not the only me in the world, I'm not even the BEST version of me, and the better version of me is actively around the same part of the world as I am.
A better me off in, like, Canada isn't gonna bother me, because I'm never going to cross paths with them. But this better me just took my partner; they're in the same CITY as I am. I literally live in their shadow.
Imagine being told by the person with who you're cheating on your sognificant other that they're cheating on you with your own significant other.

I found out because of an STI. My ex gave me HPV.
I had a pap and it was abnormal. No big deal, doesn't necessarily mean anything. Due to a mixup, I had actually had a pap a few months before, which was normal. I had only been with one person since that pap, so I figured the abnormal one was a fluke. I jokingly asked my ex "my pap was abnormal. Anything you'd like to tell me?" He texts me back saying "we need to talk"
My heart dropped. Over the next week, his lies unraveled. Turns out he fucked his neighbor at a party and he gave me one of the cancer causing strains of HPV. I had another pap a bit later and apparently HPV can go away, bullet dodged
And yes, I have had the HPV vaccine. Maybe that's why it went away? I dunno

We were married and expecting twins. He was diagnosed with multiple mental illnesses so he went away to inpatient in FL to get help. Came out, we had a week at a resort together. Life was heaven. Out of nowhere he blows up (I assume at the time it’s his bipolar), he leaves me, changes his phone number etc. I end up in preterm labor and we lose the babies. Everything heals and weeks pass I think we are fine. I find out he left for that short period of days because the 23 year old (he’s 43 I was 35) bipolar/drug addict/alcoholic he met while in mental health facility found him on Facebook and they spent a few days on phone with her. Left me for a few days of attention from some childish attention whore. She contacted me after he had blocked her and wanted to tell me everything.

I think the worst way to find out you've been cheated on is primary school christmas concert. Your husband is the headmaster, your child attends the school and is performing alongside somebody who's been helping out with looking after your child and been heavily involved with the family since coming to your town a couple months ago. Just about everybody in this small town is at the concert. Your child seems really off and runs away during the performance, you send them home and come back to see the end of the concert when suddenly while thanking you for the accomadation and support the person then thanks you for sharing your husband. You all make a scene and it goes crazy. Then eventually you find out the person threw a harp at your husband and then got hit by a car and a white owl landed on her just to hammer in that the films name is white owl in Welsh.

Your spouse doesn’t wanna go and you start spinning. Then you see someone approach your spouse and they start making out, assuming you can’t see them. But you do, though you have to wait and watch them do it, until the ride is over.
There are both STDs & STIs.
An STI is a sexually transmitted infection, an STD is a sexually transmitted disease.
Chlamydia is usually referred to as an STI.
Some examples of STDs are EBV, HIV, syphillis, etc.
Btw, this kind if thing happens a lot, & there are many who have to live the rest of their lives disabled with chronic illness & severe physical pain due to cheating partners giving them STDs.
