My 2021 Explorer ST had a wad of leaves and pine needles stuffed up inside the front fenders. If you do not pull the inner liner out and away, you will not see this. Perfect place for rust to start, if you don't clean it out.
The Plastic is pretty durable. It's been below zero here in the Midwest. Giving the mud flaps a kick to knock of ice and snow is a daily thing. They stay flexible even when cold not brittle like a cheep plastic would be.

The music during a tutorial is not needed. Also, the mud flap looks like cheap plastic. Is that the case?

What happened to the white plastic strips to protect the paint? Did you skip that?
