Review Scores
10 - A "Perfect" Game. This is a near-impossible score to achieve. These games will score a Platinum award.
9 - Excellent. I wouldn't question having this in my collection. These games will score an Excellence Award. Slight issues in the game, but they are minor.
8 -Amazing. Some issues; the gameplay is excellent, and I would love to have it in my collection. Games scoring at least 8.5 will be given a Recommended Award.
7 - Good. - This Game hits on many positive points for me but has some drawbacks that hold it back from being a Great/Amazing game. The gameplay also starts to waiver regarding who might like this game style.
6 - OK - Average score for games. The gameplay is fun and would be OK playing, but it's not something I need in my collection.
5-Decent-Bottom Tier of Average Games. The gameplay is mediocre and needs to be more engaging. "Take it or leave it." It will most likely not stay in a collection long.
4 - Poor - These games are difficult to recommend. The gameplay could be more engaging, or rulebook issues make tabling an issue. It's not good, but I might play again, depending on the situation.
3 - Bad - An unenjoyable experience. I won't play this game again.
2 - Very Bad - It's worse than Bad.
1 - Awful - This has to be a joke on the players.

I have only played #Expeditions at 2 players, and only a few times. I actually really enjoyed it, except it is quite fiddly and you are 100% right, bumping the board throws everything off!
#Expeditions I got the game for 1-2 players so I'm glad to hear your score is higher for that player count. Haven't cracked it open yet, looking forward to it.
We played it for the first time last weekend, at 5 players. I found it was a fine game. Not the best ever, but few games are. In our game, starting out people either camped the worker tiles for a couple of turns or started hoovering up the map tokens. I think that's probably why those two accomplishments (map tokens and worker count) are the same boast. By the mid game, everyone had however many workers they wanted and the worker tiles stayed vacant for most of the rest of the game.
I was initially underwhelmed by Expeditions, but the more I’ve played it, the more I’ve grown to really enjoy it. I’ve played a lot as a solo game, but I’ve played it at two and three players at least a couple times each, and I enjoy all of those player counts, too.
In the end, I appreciate that I didn’t immediately feel wowed by it and that it grew on me. I think it means that I won’t quickly tire of it the way a new game that seems amazing on the first couple plays but can quickly feel tired.
Ive definitely heard very mixed things about Expeditions so its stopped me from trying it. I play a lot of solo games but im not sure this fits for me. Thanks for the review!
I've never played Scythe but love the artwork that game has. Similarly, I felt the artwork was also intriguing in this game. It's too bad the game mechanics don't seem to stack up. Thank you for your video! #Expeditions
my copy is still in shrink, and I haven't been able to sell it. this tells me so much about the game, already.
Interesting, what have you listed it ar
I have not played #Expeditions yet, but looking forward to a playthrough!
Haven't played #Expeditions yet. Thanks for the review!
This seems interesting, I have been meaning to try Scythe and the fact that #Expeditions shares some ideas with it could be interesting
I appreciate your honesty here tho, it's easy to just recommend everything, or even only cover games you know are instant hits, thank you for that!
#Expeditions funny thing is that they sold it as a Scythe game but it does not even count as one, the art is the same, the fractions, and the conditions. But, in the end I have never played
#Expeditions I just recently acquired Scythe and still need to play a few rounds of that game but this sequel is definitely on my wish list.
#expeditions Mixed feelings from the community overall, so an easy, no FOMO skip from me! :)
I love #Expeditions in a different way of Scythe, great review!
I have a bunch of stuff for Scythe so I will probably stick with it over #expeditions
#expeditions
Thanks for the review.
I don’t feel any draw to this one (never played it) but again thanks for the detailed review and opinion on this.
I wanted to like this game so much. I was really hoping for something that double-clicked into the experience of the world and explored those encounter-type cards. But it really mismatches with it's theme and ideas. I'm not really sure how the mechanics mesh with the theme in this one. I love Scythe but feel Expeditions is not for me.
I definitely would like to try Expeditions someday but it’s not a game on my want to buy list. I have always wanted to play Scythe though, I think I definitely prefer Scythe out of the two from my research on them. #Expeditions
I like Scythe, but I am skeptical about #expeditions so I have not given it a try yet. I guess I don't really need to rush on this one. 😄
Scythe definitely over takes #Expeditions for me. Something about the tight resource management just feels so good over the handing build and playing from Expeditions.
The reason I think, so may reviewers gave this game a very high rating, is because they got flown out to play it. Not sure what goes on during those, but I know they get food and have a really good time. I know people like Board Game Co say they can separate the game from the special experience, but can you really. There is a reason those that got flown out have generally positive ratings on this game, and its because their experience around the game was better, therefore the game seems better then it really is. Ratings from people that didn't get flown out, generally have your opinion on it, or even worse opinions. Not saying people intentionally trying to get you buy a game, I just think their being tricked by business tactics that make the experience of the game better, then if you were just playing at home.
Board game co used to not like steam forge games. They started flying him out to events and now he suddenly gives every one of their new projects positive coverage….
Your honesty is tough. I don't like the theme in general but didn't want to pass on some good mechanics. I think I will pass. There are some reviewers that slam a game and then pledge in the same vid. U b a smart man.
#expeditions
I also really wanted to like this game, I'm generally a big fan of Stonemaier games, and the gameplay just fell quite flat for me. Already out of my collection, by far the fastest I've ever moved on from a Stonemaier game.
The game didn’t pull me same as scythe did. Tried it once. Would play it again, but won’t add to my collection #expeditions
#expeditions
Great review! I mainly play 2 player games with my wife so this I got to definitely check out
Thank you for the giveaways! #expeditions
Appreciate the giveaways! #Expeditions
#expeditions. One of these days I’ll get this one to the table.
I like the Scythe world so interested to try #expeditions at some stage.
#expeditions is a game I'm rly hoping to table, but don't own it yet. I thoroughly enjoyed Scythe and while I've heard mixed feedback on this one, I feel it's still worth a try. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
From the beginning and the game description the #Expeditions seems to be boring for me, but I still wanna try it to be sure I`m not missing the hidden sense and individual enjoyment of the game
I played this with 5 players and literally had nothing useful to do on a third of my turns.
I feel the same. It’s way too long at 4-5 players
#expeditions I have only played once and I enjoyed it but honestly have been debating if it should stay in the collection just not sure it stands out
Been very interested to try it. I actually do not care for Scythe, but since it is different that's why I want to try it. #expeditions
#expeditions I'd be interested in playing it but not owning. I liked Scythe but this one seemed a tad too different to me. Your review kind of reinforces my idea that I'd be happy to give it a try but not willing to buy it for that
I haven’t played #Expeditions but I have heard mixed things as well. Some people love it, some find it forgettable.
Never played it. Never had the desire. #Expeditions
I enjoyed Scythe, but it doesn’t get tabled a lot. #Expeditions didn’t really catch my attention.
#expeditions I thought about buying it but all the reviews I’ve seen are lukewarm. I’m still thinking about the original scythe.
#expeditions is a game I'd like to try before I buy
this one *looks* cool on the table but I don’t think the gameplay is a big draw for me.
Thanks again for the opportunity! #Expeditions
Expeditions is my last and final Stonemaier game.
Interesting. Why is that?
#expeditions This is another game on my list to try but not necessarily own.
#expeditions our group play at 5… and it was not a great experience at all for 3 hours
Thanks for the content. #expeditions
Not interested in #Expeditions. I like Scythe a lot but selling it as I’ve played it out.
#expeditions - just not for me. Great review!
#Expeditions I think it would be good solo

Omg I can't believe it. I have no words right now. Thank you so much
Honestly I hated this game. I had a legit bad time playing it. Lots of text on cards, having to pick up cards in the middle every single time I want to look at them just to see what they do is really tiring. Balance is all over the place, while in the same time the combo potential is pretty minimal in the game. It feels like you do nothing for the vast majority of the game, or at least nothing meaningful and the arc of the game is always the same. I like Stonemaier games a lot, but this just isn't it chief. Production quality is great tho, but that doesn't counteract the fact that it's an uninteresting game for me
#Expeditions The art is not interesting to me, I also didn't like Scythe so I don't think I'll like this one too.
Nah, looks meh-ier game to me since beginning. Jamey is a very good marketer so easily fooled
