I think they’re saying it’s the best because he absolutely dominated and there’s no way to argue he didn’t deserve it. Meanwhile sakhir was an incredible drive especially with the recovery but has the caveat of every other team and driver shot themselves in the foot repeatedly. Look at George was it two or three times merc managed to cost him a dominant lead?
I know there's almost no way of him winning the championship, however I do want him to score at least 300 points, and win one more race, and a podium in Mexico City.
What a splendid competition for Checo, In my opinion, it was the most magnificent race for Sergio Perez, maintaining the leadership of the race from the beginning till the end, dictating the laps, subduing the other rivals and drivers throughout the whole battle. Even though Max made the mistake against Norris, he knew how to revive the dynamism and mobility within that stage. It was one of the most crucial steps that was commonly taken by Verstappen in order to rise to the high standings but it wasn't sufficient. Congrats to Sergio Perez for such an amazing victory!
I agree, i somehow keep forgetting that Checo took the lead from the first corner and never looked back. I always feel like he at least had to gain several places and arrive at the top somewhere halfway, but this was actually a proper dominance from Sergio that i have not seen before. He always has his moments, but this whole race was his moment today. Max making a couple of mistakes, but still clawing up and beyond former champions, it will not be the record for most consecutive wins in a season, but he's still sitting comfortably. But great job from Perez, pity his dad wasn't there, as nobody really expected Perez to win here i think.

Mazepin of the Day: Russell
George has entered the Goatifi mode
Congratulations 🎉👏🎉 Checo! We believe in you! Viva México ❤️🇲🇽❤️
I hear Checo's pours are singing ... Sing A Pour Checo !! Driver of the Day !!
WHAT A RACE!
- PEREZ wins race on pure pace (led every lap)
- Double DNF for Williams and Alpine
- Max does his best Lewis Baku 2021 impression
- Double points for Aston Martin
- Russell last place
- Lewis and Max both out of top 5
- P5 for Ricciardo
- No strategy blunders for Ferrari
EDIT:
- Stroll P6, ahead of 3 world champions
- Latifi continuing his propensity to cause safety cars
Don’t forget the battle for 7th among 3 world champions
Also Lando top five in every single lap
nailed the last one. hahaha
Russell last place doesn’t even cover off him almost binning bottas off and then turning right into Schumacher and ruining his race… dude has zero race craft
So many rare occurrences in a day
men , LECLERC and Pérez were on another rithm today. their battle was so frenetic. Pérez shows his tyre mannagment, consistence, and his ability to deal with the high pressure. just, what a driver!
without VSC/SC Perez would have been 30+ seconds ahead if not more
Pressure*
he really said "possible five second penalty? aight bet" and just went
@@enzoamaya5110 thanks. I'm still learning

They teach them to complain and to cry about the smallest things

Checo Checo Checo. Even after 5 sec penalty he was going smooth. Great drive in the wet. 💪 💪 💪
And now we know why Vettel's 9 win in a row was pretty amazing.
5:00 Pov of Lewis in baku 2021😂
Seeing Seb, Max and Lewis race each other at the same time was really cool to watch. Three of the greatest F1 drivers of our time.
He was dancing with Alonso too but unfortunately he had to retire
don't compare Max to these greats. its alons, seb and lewis. max is no where near them
@@Mace-Windu stop hating n enjoy the race
@@Mace-Windu I wouldn't say that. Yeah, Max is young, just got his first WDC, but that was the same for those three. Max is cocky, but so was Seb during his RB era.

So happy to see a Checco win. His radio after the finish is just so genuine. Also, hats off to all the drivers who crossed the finish line. Driving a partially wet street circuit like this with very little room for error is wild.
Latifi, I just feel bad for at this point…is he just not used to being in front of anyone? Would love to see him finish out the season with a decent race.
Thanks
The most fun race in a long long time..action from front to rear
Really happy to see Daniel P5 ,👈 well done daniel,, keep smiling 🧡
Ppl say this is Perez’s best race, but imo, his last to first win which is also his first win in Bahrain was still the best
@@elcactusdelamuerte506 Bravo. It's so rare to find a reasonable voice on CZcams. Totally agree with you. (Not sarcasm btw 🙂)
I mean nothing can possibly touch that
This will forever remain his best race
He can win by 2 minutes but it will still be his best one
What a drive from Checo! A thoroughly deserved victory...if he can keep it.
He did keep it
Grandiosa carrera en todo momento! Tensión adicional por los VSC Y SC! Checo un GIGANTE!

I'm really happy for Sergio he really deserved a win this year
He's won 2 others I think, Baku and Monaco

I honestly loved this race. So unpredictable.

I know there's almost no way of him winning the championship, however I do want him to score at least 300 points, and win one more race, and a podium in Mexico City.
look😊
We Mexicans are very proud of him.

Brilliant race I spot it all in real life. Amazing race.
Superb driving by Checo! Max really had to pay for that mistake, but he was also driving like a mad man.
Checo is a legend, end of story. Incredible drive from him
No. I don’t get my people throw the word “legend” around so loosely
in car racings he become a legend , at least in mexico , he has more victories than other aces form mexico, like pedro rodriguez, ricardo rodriges moises solana hector rebaque or adrian fernandez

Wow what an intense race!
I was stricken when Alonso's car packed up. His defence against Max had been some of the most genuinely interesting racing up until then and I wanted to see what Max would try to get passed him.
It was right as Max was pulling up to him nose-to-tail also. I was heartbroken to see we were denied what was unboutedly going to be a great fight
I just told my friend "well now he has to pass Alonso, let's see what he's got" and immediately Alonso's engine blew
I was in Singapore GP 🇸🇬 night and I agree, as A big Red Bull fan, It was sad that Alonso had to retire his car. He defended very well against the might Verstappen.
very heartbroken for alonso but i was there at the gp and from where i was sitting, it looked as if max would have ran right into him if he hadn't pulled off the racing line, so kudos to that quick thinking
yes this broke my heart too I was waiting for Alonso to take over Max but unexpected things happened.
Shame Charles chasing Checo after the 2nd SC wasn't included, it had me on the edge of my seat. Amazing job from Checo - as a latin american: GRACIAS CHECO CARAJO
