A tip: every evening before I go to sleep, I write something in my whitebook. It’s a booklet about good things that happened that day and things thar are positive in my life. It’s a nice habit and uplifting to reread in more difficult times.

I do this but for things I DID RIGHT today…. I can always find something good in my days but having love for myself? Outrageous 😮😂 so I’m looking for more thing I did right like if I run and feel things but go anyway I write that I’m so proud of me for doing what I said I would do and not be afraid. Basically have to treat myself like a child again

@@daniellestine2250That’s just a brilliant idea, I do a gratitude journal most nights but writing stuff on what I did right that day even setting myself things to do and being proud etc even if I don’t get them done or have a bad day still loving myself
I do so much for my family but never give myself credit… thanks ❤

Went back to work yesterday after my mums stroke. I have to tell you I felt like I was going to pass out numerous times in the day. My balance was off. My symptoms are chronic dizziness and anxiety. I teach students with special needs. So many times in my head I wanted to run out and go home. Same thing this morning I’m shakey dizzy and anxious. Many times my brain keeps trying to tell me it’s something neurological and I keep reminding myself it’s PDP. It’s really hard and I’m literally taking it hour by hour right now. I listen to you every day Dan. Thank you for what you do. ❤️

I agree. I think your message is best for people who have already progressed somewhat on their "journey" to resolve chronic pain via these methods. There are many other places for those who still have many doubts and are still stuck in "help me fix me" mode. Curable to name one. I appreciate the straightforward approach you use. Right message at the right time.

Yes! Asking for support is one thing and then so is the same ol same ol whining . I just scroll. Stick with the winners not whiners I was told a long time ago. I'm 2 weeks P free! Nothing short of a miracle. And I won't let anyone get in the way of that progress. Selfish? You're dam right. Its where the rubber meets the road.I had to make a decision to believe like you said. I can't fix anyone else..only take care of me. I will support anyone but I will not ENABLE! Big difference. My goal is to graduate from this amazing program! I can pay it forward. Yeah I scroll now bc I see and I'm not going there. That's victim crap. I'm not there anymore bc you showed me a way out. Some call it tough love...idc.. this really works. I'm off everything today. It's a new day with new miracles, or new pain. Its up to me . Thank you for giving me life again. A good life!
Like my mantra song says, I can see clearly now the pain is gone....
I'm not broken. I'm safe. Live in the solution not the problem. Huge ty Dan!!!🎉

Ive never been triggered by anyone's comments on here. The comments remind me im not alone. We are all on a journey travelling hopefully. Weve all made less than positive comments overtime I bet. But someone will post a response which to me. Promotes hope and encouragement.
I see what your saying on other fb groups. Try to give more positive response. But I have left many.
To reiterate. No real negativity on here. But sometimes we reach out. Like I did with my daughter last night. Just whst i needed. And i find it here. Never negativity.

Whew, thanks for this video Dan. I struggle with this, as do many of us, but mostly in talking about symptoms too much with my husband. I always try to be positive in spaces like this, because "trauma dumping" on the Internet doesn't help us get better. I see people even in the comments on this video, unhappy with what you shared. I understand the feeling of needing to share struggles, but i feel that there are appropriate avenues for this (close friends, family, therapist, etc) and the internet is almost never the appropriate place.
Sometimes when people speak the truth to us or call us out on something, we can feel offended... But i often find that i have that sort of reaction and that leads to the realization that i am the one who needs to change.
I learned from a therapist never to comment online or dump emotional texts on someone when i am in an elevated fight or flight state. To breathe for a bit, consider if what I'm going to say is helpful to others or not, and then consider whether my comment adds anything to the conversation or not before i post. Does this help me or others? No? Then i don't post. It takes practice. ❤️
My positive pdp/tms comment: i am 35 weeks pregnant, and mind body/neuroplasticity principles have changed my life and my experience of pregnancy. I hear Dan's voice in my mind when i begin to go down negative paths, and the other day my brain automatically switched tracks into a positive and hopeful pathway without me needing to direct it. Keep going everyone. I dont know when, but you dreams really will come true!

For people who r scared I was just few days ago in same boat it’s an up and down experience for sure. U need to calm your nerves and feel safe and tge key to it really is accepting most of the time you have TMS u can get to this acceptance through looking at vids like tanner Mc somebody on utube they are more specific on tools to calm and have belief u r TmS person, just trust it’s TmS.
Then u must do everything to calm ur nerves. Walk dance excercise go get ice cream. Hug ur dog hug ur baby be kind to urself. And u will reach a place an acceptance. I’m at that place now thanks to Georgina story just posted by Dan. Dan is a tool but u must do the work use other tools too to get to where u need to be that’s acceptance u have TMS that’s when the fear truly goes away. ❤

I understand your intention with this video. However, I am not sure that I agree. It seems a little like toxic positivity which I think can potentially increase pain and symptoms. In life there needs to be balance. Sometimes if we only focus on the positives we can fail to acknowledge our more negative emotions. Likewise, too much emphasis on the negative means we are missing little sparks of joy.
Living with chronic pain is such an isolating experience, finding a community of people who can understand is a blessing. Sometimes in order to feel safety in our body, encouraging words or reassurance from others who can understand and relate can lift our spirits. As humans the ability to connect with others in meaningful ways is crucial, we aren't meant to do things in isolation. Sometimes we need to purge the negativity in order to move toward feelings of empowerment and safety. Moving from fear to safety is not a straight road, often it can be a long and winding road filled with fear, panic, confusion, isolation, frustration, anger and a myriad of other emotions. Talking about these expressions of pain can be necessary in finding our way out of the darkness.
