The formula uses the radius squared so when you want to just find the radius (and not radius squared) you would square root it.

I did this on my own before watching mam’s answer and I was so close to getting the diameter right 😭😭 … I forgot to square root the radius and I got 50 as a diameter 😭😭😭 Thank you mam for helping me so far ❤️🥹.
