Which port did you use to connect your gaming PC to the display?
I did have a Samsung JG50 34" from 2019
But now I purchased this monitor
I only game for a couple hours on the weekend so burn in shouldn't be a problem

Having issues connecting this to my Alienware RTX 3080 Desktop PC. Bought the micro hdmi to hdmi cable and it’s not connecting even when the PC is on (keeps saying to turn on device) . Can easily mirror this to my MacBook Pro which works fantastic. Very frustrating to troubleshoot for my PC !!!
Or do I need to specifically buy an hdmi 2.1 cable with display port/hdmi adapter ?

Any uses with static elements will put the monitor at risk of burn-in. So I guess gaming, youtube and anime are fine. You have to be careful when working with spreadsheets and things like that.

I would say no because PS5 doesn't support ultrawide

Great video! I just got my Odyssey G8 and it's amazing screen and definitely best monitor design on the market.
But I've noticed something new for me, the screen isn't perfectly full (I mean 2 to 4 millimeters on left or right or top or bottom it depends), and it seems to move from time to time. I thought this is some kind of pixel refresh to save Oled life, do you confirm that ?
So, it's never perfect full screen for that reason, am I right ?
you are correct, this is because OLED suffers from a phenomenon known as "burn-in." the pixel offset you mention is known as "pixel-shift," where the display shifts the entire image over a pixel or two to avoid the aforementioned scenario. it is a beneficial and expected feature at this price point, especially for a monitor of this size

I was told to get the Alienware Version over this.
I would go with this over. The alienware version, because of text sharpness issue on the alienware. At least from my use

@@BooredAtWork I have had no problems with the text, as I use it for moderate work & gaming. Only problem in my opinion is the glossy screen. It shows reflections & scratches so easy. I am on my 3rd one!

no idea why Samsung are allergic to normal ports... feels like someone had an itch to "innovate" and created useless additions to to monitor
How about VRR flickering? Why every one hides the fact about VRR flickering? You buy 1k$+ monitor, set g-sync on…and get punch your face with ugly VRR flickering effect!
Use mini dp port. Or use 120hz micro hdmi it should stop the vrr flickering with gsync on

@@RYu-wu5yh view your manual for language change, use a translator just like how I used it to read your texts. You can turn vrr off and then use vsync but vrr is much much better.

@@RYu-wu5yh Are you using a chinese version? Maybe your OS is wrong and Chinese. Your nearby Samsung centre should be able to help in that case.
