Pleae people don't use 40% vol developer if you have time. Use 20% vol for you hair.
1. Skip your roots first you can do it the last 15mins because it will bleach alot faster.
2. Use coconut oil the night before it will might give your hair some protection.
3. Take you time even if you have to redo it it 3x its safer and will not damage you hair as much.
4. I advise to use 20% vol and play with the time.
GOLDEN RULE: If you have a month bleach your once a week using 20% depending on how blond you want also get Silver/Purple conditioner and shampoo it will take the orange out.

I agree, great advice!!!!! Except for the purple shampoo. I learned very recently that it strips the protein from our hair and isn’t good for us to use. It’s better and to tone again if the hair is getting orange.
1. Don't leave it to the last 15 minutes because it won't have enough time to develope. Instead apply it 15-20 minutes after doing your whole head.
2. Coconut oil acts as a barrier and will only prevent the lightener from being aa effective meaning you could possibly have to process the hair again.
3. You do not want to take your time with bleach! You want to get it on in as little time as possible and to avoid uneccessary damage you want to do it right the first or second time.
4. Unless you can apply a full head in under 10 minutes it's best to use 2 different vol developers. Use 20 vol on the back half of the head and on the front half use 30vol so they're able to process at a similar rate. 20vol will work slower but for longer and 30vol works faster but not as long

To the people watching this, although the points mentioned at the end of the video are absolutely valid, it IS possible to successfully and safely bleach your hair from dark to very light at home. I’ve been bleaching my own hair (I’m Asian, darkest black hair), for the past two years to basically platinum and all the pastels of the rainbow. But you HAVE to do your research, it’s not an easy thing to do. It wastes a lot of time, and effort, and research; but it does save you that money. And since I’m cheap af it’s worth it me for to sacrifice that for the hair I wanted. If you can however afford it, deffo recommend salon and professional over DIYing it.

So do I recommend doing it at home? NO. If I could go back I'd just stop buying clothes, drink less coffee, save some money and go to the hairdresser.
I bleached my hair 4 times in total, root retouch - 2 times. I did not bleach 4 times in a row, I did one bleach on one day, rest, applied tones of Olaplex 3, left if overnight, and then on the next day another bleaching process. I used purple shampoo because purple toner DOES NOT WORK on my hair. So If you're still planning to bleach your hair at home even after watching this, please don't bleach several times on the same day! Plus remember you'll keep losing your hair and it's hard to dry your hair after it's damaged.

Gurl even if you do it yourself do some intense research... Using the right bleach (schwarzkopf blondeme developer and high-lift powder) and the right technique can lift natural black (level 2 hair) to platinum (level 10 hair) in one process... Also, you should use a toner not purple shampoo (toner would last 8 weeks and purple shampoo fades in 2 wash).

I bleached & dyed my hair blue at home last year and my hair was still strong my scalp not so much but it wasn't so bad. I had little damage and no split ends. The key is to do lots of research beforehand and not use such a high volume and space out the bleaching rounds.

I have dark asian hair and ive literally bleached at home to platinum blonde many times in the past to make my hair crazy colours and all i can say is omg when your hair is that damaged and wet it feels like noodles and breaks so easily. Thats why ive grown my roots to past my neck so the blonde grows out. On the plus side ive grown my hair to like 24 inches because of this!

I just bleached with loreal quickblue and 30 vol developer. 50 mins x 2 with shower cap on. Waited 2 days did 1 time more. It is perfectly white and I absolutely LOVE it. No toners or anything additional needed. Cheap and easy. I have a buzz cut so if it hadn't worked I'd be ok too. I would definitely heavy condition before and after ( and during the waiting period ) if you have more hair.

Dark brunette to blonde, I did two bleaches and ion intensive shine blonde . Bam worked out perfect, I regularly hydrate my hair because no matter how intense, bleach on hair is damaging.

Next time use 20 volume on your roots! The reason it burned so much is because of the peroxide in the developer. I am a hair stylist and we only use 20 for that reason(:

I bleached my own hair like four times within one week and eveyrhting was just a nightmare. The chemical smell was just so bad and the colours were blotchy and my hair was just like straw!

네! 머리 정말 잘 안 말라요. 특히 머리가 완전히 상해버리는 순간부터 장난 아니에요. 그런데 이게 안 마르기만 하면 그러려니 할텐데 꼬불꼬불 서로 엉퀴고 늘어지고 달라붙어서 안말라요 ㅠㅠ 그래도 머릿결 많이 안 상하고 탈색되면 신경 안 쓰일 정도로 잘 마르니 너무 걱정하지 마세요! ㅎㅎ

I’ve bleached my hair to platinum blonde before at a hairdresser (my moms indian and my dad was Scottish and both of them have really dark hair so you know how dark my hair was) I went once’s to the hairdresser (baring in mind I’ve box dyed my hair before) and it came out perfect after 2 bleaches (but she was really good and didn’t even burn my skull) I had the blonde hair for about 2 years and dyed my hair back to brown and around 2 years again I bleached it blonde again at a different salon since I moved but they bleached my hair 4 times and it still isn’t platinum blonde and on top of that I had scabs and burn marks right down to my neck and some breakage. I’m going to a new hairdresser tomorrow though
So make sure you find a hairdresser who’s also really good and knows what she’s doing. I suggest streaking it works greater idk

저는 셀프 탈색만 6년째 하고 있는데요, 05:16 에 나오는 말대로 1:1의 비율로 하시면 안됩니다!!!!
탈색은 bleach(파우더) 1 과 developer(액체) 2, 즉 1:2 비율로 해줘야해요ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ
파우더가 독하기 때문에 developer가 중화시키는 작용을 한다고 보시면 되서 1:2로 해줘야합니다 안 그러면 두피 정말 아파용...
아마 두피에서 진물이 나고 머리카락이 끊기고 하는게 이 이유가 아닌가 싶네요.. 저는 6년정도 탈색을 하다보니 머리끊김이 조금씩 생기지만 다샤님께서는 아마 비율문제가 있지 않았을까 싶어요ㅠㅠ
물론 회사 제품마다 비율이 조금씩 다르기도 하지만 기본적인 베이스는 항상 1:2라고 보시면 됩니다.
그렇지만 미용실 가서 탈색을 하라는것에는 10000000% 동감합니다^^

How i bleached my hair was basically so that after the first bleaching i waited like 1 or 2 weeks than did another one bleaching and keept repeating it like taht until i got the color i wanted. And i used the purple shampoo so the color wont fade or get yellow. And my hair is healty as ever💕🌸

If you apply a thick layer of vaseline on anywhere you might get on your skin bleach droppings the vaseline will protect your skin :)

언니 저랑 똑같으시네요.. 몇년 전에 백발머리로 탈색을 했는데(셀프로요) 확실히 얼룩덜룩하게 나오더라구요.. 하다보니 스킬이 좀 늘어서 괜찮아졌다 싶었는데.. 문제는 한달씩 자라나는 뿌리였어요!!!! 뿌리 탈색이 진짜 헬오브 헬인데.. 왜냐면 뿌리이외의 부분은 엄청 밝은데 뿌리는 검은색이니까 색을 맞추려면 여러번 해야하거든요... 이 부분은 진짜 미용실 가는 게 답인데 돈이 없는 학생으로서 혼자 다 알아서 하려다가 재앙을 맞이하게 되었죠. 뿌리탈색할때 미쳤다고 권장 시간보다 오래 두면 색이 많이 빠져서 대충 다른 부분과 색깔이 맞춰지지 않을까 생각하면서 티비보다가............ 한시간 넘게 방치해뒀어요.. 머리감고 보는데 엄청 하얘졌어요 근데.. 순간 울프컷 한것처럼 짧은 머리가 보이더라구요. 머리 말리니까 그제서야.... 아 머리가 녹아서 잘린거구나를 깨닫게 되었죠 ㅠㅠ 이미 돌아올 수 없는 강을 건넌거라.. 그 순간만큼은 제 자신이 너무 원망스러웠어요 흑흑 탈색부분은 검은색으로 염색을 해도 나중에 물이 빠져서 노란부분이 보이게 되요 여러분.. 탈색부분을 없애고 싶으면 길러서 잘라내는 수밖에 없습니다. 거의 2년동안 뿌리부터 길러서 지금은 95퍼센트 다 잘라내었네요. 이젠 탈색안하고 제 머리 색으로 살려구요 ㅠㅠ 그동안 힘들어했을 머리에게 사죄해야겠어요. 여러분 탈색 정말 마음먹고 하세요!! 예쁜데 포기해야하는 게 참 많아요

the one thing i would not dare try doing at home is bleaching-- just because it's already so damaging after one time and if i mess it up, more things will have to be done to my hair lol. but i totally understand the painfully long hours of sitting at the hair salon. my back and shoulders start to hurt so bad

I have ombre blue hair right now... I didn't touch my scalp because I wanted to make sure I have SOME hair left when I get bored of my hair. I did go to a hairstylist to lift my hair to level 8. Considering I had bleached my ends 4 times beforehand at home (which lifted the hair to level 6, or so I have been told), my hair seems okay... Like Dasha said, I suggest seeing a hairstylist unless you give no f about hair like I did. If you are also semi-broke like me, you can try bleaching the ends only so that you can cut it off if you get tired to untangling split ends. From what I've seen, I think people use 20 Vol for the roots, but I am not a professional, and I don't recommend bleaching at home. And is it weird I love Dasha's short fringes? I think she makes it look pretty and trendy.
머리 상하는거 걱정되시는 분들은 옴브레 하세요ㅋㅋ 상하면 그냥 잘라내면 돼서 걱정 별로 없더라고요. 루트 터치업은 볼륨 낮은걸로 보통 하는걸로 알고 있는데, 다샤님 말씀대로 그냥 미용실 가서 하는게 확실히 좋긴 좋아요... 머리도 덜 상하고ㅠㅠ 어쨌든 미국에서 백금발 유지할려면 매달마다 한 20만원 정도 깨질 각오 하고 해야 하는것 같아요. 워낙 서비스비가 비싸서... 전 소심하니깐 그냥 머리 끝만 탈색해서 색 입히고 있어요. 혹시라도 이 영상을 보고도 난 집에서 탈색을 하겠어 하는 용사가 계신다면 볼륨 20 이랑 볼륨 30 따로 사서 하는거 추천하고, 미용실에서 쓰는 호일 따로 구입하셔서 하는게 그나마 제일 안전할꺼에요. 그래도 이것저것 사면 한 7만원정도는 깨질것 같은데... 돈 아껴서 미용실 하는게 맘 편해요. 그리고 탈색만으로 백금발 못하는거 아시죠? 토너도 따로 구입해야 해요.. 다샤님은 오늘도 미모가 정말... 하... 부러워요

앗ㅋㅋ 언니 저는 시크릿탈색? 했는데 머리 반 나눠서 뚜껑은 블랙이고 안 쪽은 탈색모인거요! 저도 5번 했는데 탈색을 2주에 한번씩 했는데 저는 뒷통수 맨 안쪽? 맨 밑에?가 타서 엄청 짧아요ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 그리고 저도 그 목 뒷부분에 따갑고 그래서 바이오더마 센시비오 크림 발랐었어요 두피도 따가운 부분에 다 그거 발랐어요ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
