With a thick layer of dirt obscuring its paint, this Impala is crying out for a cleaning. I have a plan to transform its exterior, but first, I must begin with a thorough cleaning to create a clean canvas.

Cleaning single stage with comet gets all the dirt out the paint and restores the color.

Ice blue with the patina would look nice. It cleaned up GREAT! The color really pops. Since it doesn't have whitewalls, the white letter tires would do. As for the subtle patina (texting while you're talking about it lol), the hood would be a good start since it has minor fading. Beautiful car 🫡💯❤️🙏🏿🔥

The rear bumper was from a 80-85 Impala/Caprice that did not have the rubber impact strip. 77-79 cars that did not have the impact strip were smooth like the front bumper. Also my 78 Caprice has no bumper strip or bumper gards and is smooth, this is a 28k original mile car. The arm rests I have in-stock used, one is light blue too! 😊 Happy to see you are saving this, I think your on my Facebook too.

Airbrush or 600 grits the edges and clear coat. Gloss or satin

I would roll that beautiful speciman of a automobile just like it is i wouldn't touch nothing i wouldn't even repaint it that is if it were mine you know its funny growing up in Chicago in the 80s and early 90s this was all my cousins use to drive and at that time if you could scrape up $500 to $1000 bucks you could aquire these with no problem and yes they ran i use to laugh and turn my nose up at these cars back then and my cousins and friends would tell me i didnt know what i was missing well sadly enough they were right because today at 50 years of age i would so love to own one of these
