It's NOT a Bushcraft knife. It's NOT a survival knife. It's NOT a camping knife (like the bigrock)... It's a large game animal processing knife. That's all! It's NOT for cutting wood. It cuts MEAT and Sinew. It's very easy to sharpen. It has a partner called a Caping Knife. It also comes in a Folder Version. It's STILL sold in Walmart.
Thanks for the comment! You are spot on!!! I appreciate your enthusiasm for the freeman guide, I'm admitting it is very likely suitable for its intended purpose, just curious about its other capabilities and still enjoying the little blade as much as I can. Really looking forward to deer season where I hope it shines! Sometimes the knife you carry is the only knife you have, even in a hunting scenario, so my advice is choose gear carefully and know it capabilities as well as its limitations, check out prt 2 if you haven't already and check out what it was capable of!
Agreed... I push these little blades too far 😥, still think its good to know how far you can push them while not having it ruin you if it fails. Just in case it's the only knife you're carrying when you're in a survival situation, no?
