SM put all the best together and formed a super group. EXO, SHINee, and NCT. They are all super close aswell! Taemin is the mom of the group and Baekhyun is the dad! Taemin for once ISNT the baby but even being the mom they all baby him still

I'm soo glad that altough you don't recognize any if the NCT memebers (the other 4 you didn't call out lol) you still recognized Mark & Taeyong's rapping style. Mark & Taeyong are really that rap duo that tend to go back & forth of each other in almost every NCT song their together especially NCT 127 since they do it in SuperM a lot too it's easier to recognize them.
SuperM is basically THE group they have everything & more you can ever want from a group. The vocals, the rap, the dancing, & the visuals are all top tier. To be honest their basically the most popular members of SM's most popular groups NCT, EXO, & Shinee. People who haven't heard any of their respective groups still know of their names or have heard people talking about them. That's not to take anything away from their talent they are elite but still they are SM's favs too but well deserved too.
Mark (pink hair) & Taeyong (blonde hair) are considered the best rappers in SM which is crazy considering before NCT SM was only known as THE visuals & vocal powerhourse company. Ten, Taemin, & Kai are considered not only the best dancers in SM but some of the best in all of k-pop. I can keep going on & on about them but I'll stop here. Can't wait to see you get to know them & love them all even more.

Their live performance of I Can't Stand the Rain at Columbia Records Hollywood is great (there is no official M/V as I recall)
This was SM trying to wow the Western market with their top tier performers. SM artists are known to be close anyway, but these did lots of activities early on to help them to bond quickly. Unfortunately for their timing, the pandemic hit their plans to show of their immense performance skills - Kai, Taemin and Ten are recognised as three of the best dancers in the industry, with Taeyong and Baekhyun also highly regarded, then there is the genius vocals of Baekhyun supported by Taemin and Ten and the superb rappers Mark and Taeyong. They also have the visuals (again as usual with SM artists) and a good mix of language skills, especially with Mark and Ten (and now Taeyong) speaking English so well. Baekhyun and Taemin have completed military service, Kai is currently enlisted, but they will also have to wait for Taeyong to go in before they will be all together again. It's not really clear what will happen with them next.

In 2019, SM collaborated with Capitol Records, USA, and assembled a group of seven of the best artists in KPOP to debut in the USA: SuperM. In fact, they even collaborated with Marvel after having been dubbed the Avengers of KPOP. Taemin was the first chosen and helped pick the other six members. Though not the eldest member, he is the senior member of the group due to the length of time he’s been in the industry (14+ years). As such, he would have been leader, but he deferred that task to Baekhyun of the group EXO (who’s slightly older than Taemin). Taemin has been the maknae of SHINee his entire career and didn’t feel he would be best suited to lead the others. However, he is the center of the group and they ALL (including Baekhyun) defer to his experience and take his advice to heart. He is very caring towards his dongsaengs (juniors) and was nicknamed Taemresa (inspired by Mother Teresa). Hi, yeah they are all artists under SM. You were right about the two rappers (Mark and Taeyong) NCT127. The two you didn't recognise are also from NCT units - Ten and Lucas. Baekhyun and Taemin voices together (what a duo)! Their debut song/MV was "Jopping" - well worth a watch, "100" is also good.

Before the reaction even starts all I have to say finally some SuperM. Too bad they only have one full and one mini album so far but we hope there will be a comeback somewhere in the future. It will be difficult though since Kai is in the military....and for all I know is Taeyong (NCT) will enlist sometime next year... so actually idk if we have to wait till Taeyong returns.
Also since Lucas left (probably had to leave NCT/WayV) I actually dont even know if he is still a member of SuperM. SM Ent and himself didnt make a statement about that only about NCT/WayV.

So, yeah SHINee, EXO and NCT are the groups the boys are originally from. Also SM ENT artist are known to be like a family so they knew each other before and Taemin and KAi for example are bff's. Kai and Lucas became Tom and Jerry with time.
They also have like a little reality show called Mtopia. Its actually funny to watch. Its available on CZcams as far as I remember. So if you have more time you can maybe take a look.

Kai is in the military so we have like a year and a half to wait for him and then Lucas is definitely not with WayV anymore? Supposedly the rumor is that Lucas is going solo I suppose he still is under SM entertainment with a contract but we don’t know any more information until SM decides to release official information on their official channel🤷🏻♀️
If SM wants to do replacement members to take Kai and Lucas‘s place they could possibly do that but I doubt it very much so right now there’s a lot of things going on in SM!
Some of the K-pop idols are not resigning with SM I think five members of Super Junior decide not to re-sign with SM & D.O. I believe wants to start his own agency and I don’t believe he’s going to resign once the contract is up I also heard that Chanyeol rumor is that he wants to go solo ? but we don’t know that for sure until SM makes an official statement all these rumors and things that the media is putting out there is becoming worse for us fans!?

Why should Chanyeol go solo? I mean he did release a solo single now but EXO said they wont split. EXO CBX had that one issue with SM. I think they settled it.
Even if no one of EXO stays in SM they said they wont disband. I mean everything can happen but even when the EXO CBX issue got public all 3 ensured to be part of EXO even if they have to leave SM.
Some groups are like that actually. They still promote as a group even if not all members are under the same company.
Idk about Suju though. All I know is they have their own label which gives them more freedom but are still part of SM. SuJu is so long in the game even if they dont continue with SM it wont harm them.

Like I said. There are groups where members arent in the same company anymore. I just remembered that that is the case for 2AM for example. One member isnt part of JYP anymore but still in 2AM. Recently they were on Killing Voice. So if D.O wants to open his own company that doesnt mean he has to leave EXO. He can make arrangements with SM.
Ok Lay may be not the best example...but Lay has his own company and he is still officially a member of EXO. He could promote with them. Although there is another issue with China and Korea why he isnt with them ....he has a bit of another status if I am not mistaken compared to other chinese idols.
Also I believe if EXO wanted to disband they would have said that the Cream Soda comeback would be the last. Disbandments and hiatus' are always announced and for some reason there are always indications for it to happen whereas for EXO there are none. At least for now. I doubt they would do anything at all as long Kai is in military.

Thank you for your cool reactions to SuperM, indeed the "Avengers of Kpop." SuperM was created and marketed to a US audience, the brainchild of Lee Soo-man, founder of SM Entertainment and former CEO. You won't be surprised to know that Taemin was instrumental in composing the group and is the center. (He turned down the leadership role and Baekhyun is a fine leader.) The seniors, Taemin, Kai, and Baekhyun, are phenomenal mentors for Ten, Mark, Taeyong, and Lucas. Each member is a gem. My faves: One (Monster & Infinity) and We Do (a promo for an insurance company). All their songs are fire. You'll have to see Taemin's vroom in the original stages of Super Car. I'll bet you're looking forward to Taemin's imminent comeback (album drops 10/30, concerts in December). The teasers are mysterious.
My Fave Super M song is One : Monster & Infinity... they have a MV for it. It's two songs combined into one. But it flows well together. You should check it out.
The potential this group had, I'm so sad.
On the picture at the end the the guys at the far back are Lucas(WayV) and Mark(pink hair) from NCT. Then TEN from NCT wayV, and Kai from EXO, then Baekhyun from EXO and LEADER OF SUPERM( Teamin's group SHINee debut earlier so he should have leader position but he turned it down hes the same age as kai and also Kai's bestie so baekhyun is the oldest and leader) and Teayong the leader of NCT, and Teamin at the front. Up to today SuperM doesnt have a fandom name and currently are NOT promoting due to Baekhyun and Teamin returning from the military and Kai just enlisted this year and sadly LUCAS has left NCT (WAYV) and SM entertainment so we are still waiting for them 🔥

Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. I am a new Taemin bias. =0) So trying to learn more about him in the past 8-9 months. I am not a fan of this song. I like parts but not it as it is as a whole. The eyes at the start is Taemin. I figured u would like SuperM. I think the redhead is Mark from NCT. The high notes is Baekhyun (EXO) and Taemin. Yes, this is a group of members from other groups. The rumor is that they were trying to make another BTS, snorts. No one can be BTS just BTS. Taemin and Kai are best friends. And i think they all got to know each other before debut and became closer. But they were pro's just blending well. U would have to watch behind stages to see if they are friends now. Taemin is the oldest but he declined the leader role. Love their modern hanbok fit's. Their traditional Korean clothing at the end. Baekhyun's high note was impressive. Hugs. -2019 ARMY NY USA 💜

I think that the "Tiger Inside" MV may be connected to EXO's "Wolf" MV. In "Wolf" we see that EXO are a wolf pack that is dressed in all white and they are inside an all white den or cave, just like the SuperM members who are dressed in all white and are in a white cave/the tigers lair in "Tiger Inside." And in "Wolf" the choreography was designed to make the EXO members look like they are wolves or beasts, where in "Tiger Inside" the choreography was also designed to make them look like beasts or tigers.
Fun fact: That breakout dance move with Taeyong and Mark in the choreography, doesn't just go along with the beat, but when you watch the dance practice you will see it's supposed to be Taeyong trying to assert his dominance and battle with Mark. Taeyong elbows Mark in the head, which causes him to stumble, then Taeyong pushes him away with his hand (i.e. paw), which causes Mark to spin around to face Taeyong and then Taeyong raises his claws above his head and strikes out at Mark to cause Mark to step away, etc. I think they are supposed to look like tigers preparing for battle with the Red Force, so they are practicing their fighting skills.
The outfits they are wearing at the end are modern versions of traditional Korean outfits and blue, white and gold is usually royal colors that often indicates status and power. Nothing is "random." That end pose is similar to an image you often see in historical dramas or action movies as the heroes or main characters are getting ready for battle. It's all part of SuperM's storyline and it gives you a good chance to really look at them and get to know their faces better.
So, this is just another reason why I think people need to pay attention to all of the storylines with all of SM's groups.
However, as you know, no one really knows what is happening for sure in SM's Universe storyline. It's all fan theories and educated guesses. SM has never confirmed nor denied any of our theories and they have never explained anything. They have left it up to the fans to interpret the story and connect the pieces. And what makes this even more difficult is the story isn't being told in chronological order, so as fans you have to pay attention to everything and remember what you have seen and heard in previous content in order to decide where each piece fits within the larger storyline. And, as you have seen, it's not just MVs, but it's with everything they do including teaser videos, concert VCRs (short videos played at concerts in between sets), live performances, song lyrics, online content released by SM, special extras included when you purchase an album, etc. It's super complex and all encompassing.
Baekhyun is older than Taemin, that is why Taemin declined to be the leader. 😊😊

SuperM is the Kpop industries first supergroup, which was created by SM Entertainment in collaboration with Capitol Records in the L.A., California. This group features 7 of the best of the best when it comes to dance, vocals, rap and performance in Kpop. The members of SuperM are some of top artists from SM Entertainment's most popular groups.

SuperM are considered the Avengers of Kpop because the group is so multi-talented, with some of the most influential idols in the industry, representing multiple nationalities and Kpop generations, who are poised to take over the world.The group debuted in the U.S. in October 2019 so that is why their title track "One (Monster and Infinity)," their previous release "100" and their debut song "Jopping" are mostly in English because "Jopping" was meant to be their foyer into the U.S. music market, and "100" and "One (Monster & Infinity)" continues that plan. "Tiger Inside" was a pre-release track from SuperM's first full length album Super One and it's one of the few songs they have that's mostly in Korean.
Mark's native language is English. And WayV is the Chinese sub-unit of NCT, so not only does Ten and Lucas speak Korean and English, but they also speak Mandarin. Ten also speaks Thai because he is from Thailand and Lucas speaks Cantonese because he is from Hong Kong and a little Thai because his mom is Thai. And although Baekhyun, Kai, Taemin and Taeyong are all native Korean, they also speak many other languages. For example, Taemin and his group SHINee are very popular in Japan, so he is fluent in Japanese as well.
Baekhyun is the leader and the oldest member who is currently 31. Mark is the youngest at 24. However, Taemin is the one with the most seniority in the group. Taemin is only a year younger than Baekhyun and only 6 months older than Kai, but he debuted 4-10 years before any of the other members of SuperM. Taemin debuted as a member of SHINee in 2008 when he was 14 years old, so he is a super senior member of the group. In other words, as part of the hierarchy of respect, Taemin is the one everyone looks up to. Which might be why Taemin was chosen to play such a major role within the group's storyline, and why we have seen him prominently featured in almost everything to do with SuperM.
It is said that the concept for SuperM is supposed to be like the Avengers, so, I see it as each of the members are a different kind of superhero that make up the larger "Avengers" group, just like how the Marvel Avenger members come together from all walks of life with all different abilities and powers, etc. to make up one big super group.
As with everything that SM does, it's been designed to all connect. All of SM's groups' concepts and MV storylines connect together and it's all part of one giant Universe and story that started in 2012 with EXO's debut.
To understand how all of SM's groups are connected, you first need to keep in mind that it all began with EXO's origin story. From day one, EXO's concept has been that they are aliens from Planet Exo who have been sent to Earth on a mission to find and protect the Tree of Life from the Red Force, while also trying to fix all the things that are going wrong in the world, which are believed to be caused by the Red Force. The Red Force is thought to be here on Earth inflicting their evil agenda -- corrupting humanity and causing all the bad things that are happening in the world, such as war, hate and destruction of the environment, etc. And because EXO is trying to undo and prevent the Red Force from accomplishing their goals, the Red Force is also trying to take down EXO by capturing them, corrupting them and standing in their way, etc.
So, as part of EXO's story, Baekhyun and Kai -- who are members of EXO -- have recruited members from SM Entertainment's other male Kpop groups and formed SuperM, to help them battle the Red Force.
And just like the Marvel Avengers members each have their own Superhero story, when they come together to form The Avengers they combine their story and concept and weave elements of each of the member's backstories into The Avengers storyline. I see SM Entertainment doing the same thing with SuperM.
Also, just like how the Marvel Avengers come together to combine their strengths and powers to help fight Thanos, I see parallels with what SM is doing with SuperM's storyline. SuperM is taking the "best" members from each group and joining forces to take down the Red Force. And just like how the movies "Avengers Identity War" and "Avengers Endgame" eventually had each of the Marvel Avengers members recruiting their whole crew to help in the fight, I think SM is setting it up so that all of its groups' members will eventually be brought into the fight.
I also think that the "Tiger Inside" MV may be connected to EXO's "Wolf" MV. In "Wolf" we see that EXO are a wolf pack that is dressed in all white and they are inside an all white den or cave, just like the SuperM members who are dressed in all white and are in a white cave in "Tiger Inside." And in "Wolf" the choreography was designed to make the EXO members look like they are wolves or beasts, where in "Tiger Inside" the choreography was also designed to make them look like beasts or tigers.
Therefore, because of this, I think people need to pay attention to all of the storylines with all of SM's groups, because I think at least all of SM's third generation groups' MVs and storylines -- and probably even now their 4th gen groups with the introduction of aespa -- are being designed to connect stories and plots.
Each group has their own individual storyline and concept, but when you put them all together, there are threads of connections between the groups. And that includes SuperM, EXO, Red Velvet, NCT/WayV, aespa, and maybe even Taemin's solo work, and possibly even SHINee. Even though SHINee are second gen, they actually fit within the age group of third generation groups, so they sort of bridge that gap between 2nd and 3rd gen.
And although most of SM's older groups' concepts and MVs may have never been originally designed to have any type of connection to anything to do with anything, that doesn't necessarily mean that over the years as EXO's story has evolved or SM's Universe concept was being created, that SM didn't find "happy coincidences" within those MVs that allowed them to use them as a way to connect things together. For example, some have pointed to the fact that Ningning's butterfly in aespa's concept from 2020 could be connected to the butterfly in EXO's debut "Mama" MV from 2012, as well as the butterfly in NCT-127's "Favorite (Vampire)" MV from 2021, and some have made compelling arguments that it could even be connected to SHINee's butterfly in their "Ring Ding Dong" MV from 2009. Or the blue roses we see in Taemin's "Press Your Number" MV from 2016 may be connected to EXO's flower/blue rose concept, etc. Now I'm not completely convinced that SM would reach back that far, but it makes you question and consider things. :D I mean we see what looks like the pink planet from Super Junior's "House Party" MV and a scene from Super Junior-K.R.Y.'s "When We Were Us" MV from 2020 in "aespa's ep.1 - SM Culture Universe" video. And SM has even brought Kangta, who is a member of the very first Kpop boy group H.O.T., which debuted in 1996, into the storyline with his solo MV remake of H.O.T's song "Free to Fly." And Max Changmin from TVXQ joins the world of Kwangya in his solo "Devil" MV when we see him on the pink planet, etc. So it's starting to look like SM may be hinting at bringing everyone into the storyline, including their older groups and artists.

The group name is pronounced as Super M. They are a group formed from some of the most talented and popular members of SHINee, NCT, and EXO and were meant to appear to the global audience. Some of their tracks have more English in them than SM usually did at the time. Opinions on them seem pretty mixed but honestly I love them. They were one of the groups that really cemented my love of kpop and were actually the first kpop album I bought.
I'm excited to see you do Jopping, One (Monster & Infinity), and 100. One is neat because it's actually 2 songs combined together. This is something that SM does sometimes and somehow it winds up working extremely well every time.
