I am not from Butwal but butwal bhairawha highway is best in Nepal. Its not just about highways. there are so many highways in nepal. Its more about clean, green, footpath, green belt etc....butwal highway has everything ...lights in the night looks like abroad, awesome green belt in both side and in the divider, its clean, crossing bridges every within a 1 km, Bio toilet every within a 1 km and all bio toilets are so clean, traffic lights ... no highways in nepal got that standard.
Yes. As a transportation engineer, it's the worst designed highway.
1. It confuses me if it's an expressway or a highway or a city road. It runs through a city and it should have been designed as an urban road.
2. Steel railings are used which is very dangerous and one of a kind in the world. Other countries wouldn't even approve this.
3. Overhead bridges are built where there are traffic lights installed. In a hot and humid climate, people don't tend to use overhead bridges. So they would have better marked zebra crossing.
4. Access and entryway are designed very poorly. At Kalikachowk, the exit leads you to a one way 8 ft wide road.
5. For an asphalt concrete road, the undulation is very high. Workmanship is very bad. So driving is not as comfortable as it should be. The resurfacing is worse..
6. The traffic signals are installed but the holding time of 120 seconds is very long for a small traffic movement.
7. The service lanes are dbst and not as smooth as the main lanes. Also the width can't even accommodate two trucks to pass freely.

Yes sir ithari biratnagar road is new and just built. Butwal bhairawha road is verly old among these. butwal bhairha roads speciality 1> very clean and well maintained bio toilets in every 1 km in the highways 2> crossing bridges in every 2 km. 3> big trees in the dividers. 4> lights 5> decorations ...overall it looks like dubai in the night. Don't believe me , you should go to this highway and check it out once.

Road good or bad but their must be street light. Without street light beautiful road looks hell at night .
Though I am from Bhairahawa , I think that Hemja road of Pokhara is the best highway of Nepal.. After that, Butwal bhairahawa road is second best.. Due to overhead bridge in very hot climate region and due to traffic holding time of more than 120 sec in less traffic movement area, I have given butwal bhairawa highway second best ..
Sir We have included points like - footpath management, greenery on footpath and dividers, toilets , traffic lights, crossing bridges etc.. That is why Butwal- Bhairawha highway makes on number 1.

sir butwal bhairawha highway ekchoti janu bho bhane afai realiaze grnu hunxa ... its not about just highways ... i am not from butwal but i have lived there .... let me tell you the special information about butwal highways : 1> it has got beautiful footpath 2> green belt on dividers , footpath and both side of the road 3> green belts are specially taken care by private nursing company, trees are huge now because its a old highway 4> lights are aweome in the roads , you can see in the video 5> bio toilets every within a 1 km in the highways and very clean 6> crossing bridge every within a 1 km 7> traffic lights .... i have been to all the places ....no highways are this standard in nepal....

@@mrpralim1317 sir just go to butwal once you will know what road looks like ....everyone here is trying to praise highways of their own place saying like nepalgunj road, some saying ithari roads, some says, birgunj road, some says chitwan, some says ktm ....the one who visitis all these cities bcz of work knows better ..... butwal roads are next level ... ithari biratnagar road is new so butwal ko highway ko level ma pugna ali time lagxa ...butwal highway dherai pahile banako ho so trees haru thul thula xan ....service lane sita yo pani 8 lane ho ...bio toilet 1-1 km ko range ma xan ....crossing bridges 1 -1 km ma xan...traffic lights prtek chok ma xa .... nepal ka road haru ma ktm bnahek anta traffic lights haru taw xaina aru bio toilets...crossing bridges ko kura xoddeinu ..... just go to butwal bhairawha highway or any highways of rupandehi districts ...you will know .... butwal got best city award 5 times in a row ....the city next to butwal called tilottama got best city award recently because in the rupandehi districts infrastructure , roads are world class.... nepal ma kunai sang compare grnai mildaina .....ithari biratnagar road pani ramro xa but beileve grnu yo standard ko kahi pani xaina ....aja 2 brsha paxi aaunu hola number 1 road butwal to lumbini ko hune wala xa ..... desh ko pahilo smart road bani rako xa european standrad ..... just try to accept the fact ...or visit the place .... binod chaudhary , balen shah ahile samma jati ni aaye ..everyone says nepal ma bidesh ko jhalko dine road bhnera ....you go to butwal visit not just butwal bhairawha highway ...any highway in rupandehi district and you will know your answers...
and i forgot one more thing buddha statue in the highway dividers every within a 300 meter and and they just added big palm trees in the divider ....
