- I have used a ton of dry bags over the years. I have found, for my kayak camping purposes, a 20L roll top bag is my workhorse. I have some smaller a few bigger. I will use about 4 20L bags to conduct most of my kayak camping expeditions. Come along and find out why the 20L is such a great choice. Gatewood Brown, a friend and fellow content creator, has started Remote Designs. Through Remote Designs, Gatewood is able to offer affordable gear that he wanted and needed but was either not available or affordable. The 20L, 420D TPU Roll Top Drybag is his latest offering. I will be using this bag to protect my under quilt on upcoming adventures. If you need a roll top, give this one a look!

A Drybag!! Have you seen how many times I've swam!?!
Hahaha, I feel your pain! Amen!
LOL!!! fewer and fewer these days!
Got mine! I didn't realize there were toxins leaching out of my pvc bags either!?!?
Gateway is awesome and yes Pete, you are too!
Thanks for your videos keeping me from going crazy in these times🤪🙂
crazy right?! Thanks for the kind words William! Always nice to have you along and in the comments!
Really nice gear from Gatewood Brown!!! I would totally give this to my son Andrew to take on his next overnight kayak camping trip this spring! This would be great for his hammock and other gear to carry on the kayak!
Oh yeah!
Love it Pete! I totally agree, 20L is the jack of all trades and my personal favorite size. We need to head back to Wilson Creek for sure!
For sure! Perhaps a trip to TX is in order for the RK crew!
@@RiverKingsKayak I like the sound of that!
I would use this dry bag to pack my Ridge Outdoors hammock and tarp, which Gatewood recommended as well, for my upcoming kayak camping trips. When not camping on the river, I could use it to store cooking gear in my kayak when we are feeding the River Kings some burgers by the side of the water. Good looking bag in my favorite color!
Good deal Anthony!
I would totally use that bag on a multiday trip down the cheat river once my skills are developed. Until then multiday adventures in the Allegheny national forest are a must.
You are all over it Jeffrey!
You know it! I found Gatewood first and you shortly after back when my wife and I bought our first yaks and we’re trying to get educated. So I gotta support you guys.
I’m buying this bag regardless of if I win or not. I’m also getting the bigger bag once it’s back in stock. One can never have too many dry bags.
@@jwmav528 on both of our behalf, thanks a ton Jeffrey!! Gld to have you aboard!
I just got the 2 bags I ordered from Gatewood, they look like quality gear at first glance.
Awesome giveaway. I'd use this bag on my first overnighter from s kayak. Be a sweet addition to the gear. Thanks Pete for all your hard work.
Right on Moondog!!
I really need this bag! I have a multi-day trip coming up right after Christmas to the Okefenokee Swamp!
Sounds awesome Brad!!
@@RiverKingsKayak Have you ever been to the Okefenokee?
@@mountainsmoore3657 not yet
@@RiverKingsKayak It is a cool place. Have to pretty much stick to the trails, so there really isn’t too much mapping, planning, etc. You just get in your boat and paddle through the canals. But it is still a really cool place to visit and camp. I’ll be making a video of our trip, if I can ever get around to editing it! 🤦🏻♂️😂
I have been looking into getting one of these for our trips out to the lakes and soon to be rivers in New Mexico. Started taking the kids out and they are loving it.
Awesome!
I would use the dry bag for all of our kayaking, canoeing, rafting, and river camping adventures with the kids. Trying to create a new generation of water sportsmen/women:)
Awesome Jen! I love to hear that!
Looks like a sweet bag! Love the backpack version, too!
Right on Dan! They are really nice!
Just bought one myself. Excited to use it everywhere
Right on Andrew!
Just received my 20L. Stuffed some shirts in it, rolled it up, and tossed it under my running bath faucet for a few minutes. Super dry on the inside, just like it should be! I wouldn't trust it submerged but it's not advertised to protect from submerging! Good enough for me!
Right on LVD!!
I would use the dry bag to keep my UGQ top quilt in. This would insure a positive experience in my kayaking adventures. I would also have one for my under quilt and one for my hammock system. And one for my clothes.
Right on Mitchell!
Great bag! I’d love to take it on adventures throughout California.
Right on Tom! I need to get out your way one day soon.
I would Definately use one, or 3 camping around Tampa Bay! And some of the river camping areas here in central Florida!
Right on Bob!
Idk why my comments showed up elsewhere! I would use the drybag on one of our many river adventures in Wisconsin 🤞🤞🤞
That zippered backpack bag would hold my kayak camera gear perfectly-My Nikon D500 and 150-600 Tamron G2 would be very accessible while shooting out of my Native Ultimate
For sure Rob! That is exactly what Gatewood developed that one for.
I would use the bag in Maine this summer. Can't wait!
Maine!? Lucky dog!
That was the caravan plan for 2020. We hope to be able to make it happen in 2021.
I started following your channel and recently purchased a kayak to start kayak camping. I would use this bag for sure on my camping trips seeing as I'm new to kayaking I'm positive my gear would get wet if I didn't have one. I've been looking at different dry bags now I will be checking out Gatewoods channel and company. Thanks for the video.
Right on Dustin!
Good looking dry bag! As you said you can't really have too many.
Agreed Chris!!
I'd use this for my first ever kayak camping trip!
Good deal Brad!
I feel like I am gonna need to order one of these for my LiquidLogic Flying Squirrel 🐿 we are picking up for me tomorrow. Only one swim yesterday. Sorry I missed the live stream we got out later then anticipated. #BamaCreeking
Right on Jes!! I think you will like the squirrel!
I'm sure the Adirondack Mountains would be a great place to call home for the Remote Designs roll top dry bag! 20 Liters is the perfect size to keep my zero degree UGQ underquilt or my top quilt dry on our multi-day excursions. I am sure I am going to get a couple bags so I can keep my camera gear dry and close at hand so that it is easy to retrieve and take great pictures while paddling the backcountry! I love Gatewood's Remote Designs backpack although paddle season is over for me in New York, The roll-top bag will be a great companion for it!
Right on Jeff! I another place we need to paddle...New York State!
@@RiverKingsKayak We’d love to have ya but I’m only used to flat water deep into the wilds. I’m sure we could come up with a grand trip worthy of a CZcams video for the kayak campers out there! I do have a separate 1 day trip on the Genesee River that would be awesome too! That could be done in conjunction.
@@hike-bike-paddle-and-drone yes sir!!
It would make a good start for the hammock camping gear i am getting together for the summer season on the haw river
Right on Mike!
Hoping to do the entire Wisconsin river sometime!
Sounds like our kind of trip! I have never been on that one.
If I had a 3rd bag I would for sure keep my Gopro in it, and an extra pair of shorts and possibly a belt.
LOL LOL LOL!!!!!!! The belt! I love it!
We would use them on the Locust Fork AL or St Francis MO this winter, or at least until we can advance to something more exciting. BTW, we've loved your videos since we got hooked staring with your 'goat' video. Thank you!!
Right on Rachel!! The Goat vid was one of our favorited days this past year! Such a great time!
Been thinking of getting the fishpond sling pack
Damnit man, I just came to watch the video. Wasn't even going to enter the giveaway. But that bag is sick! I need one.... or 5
LOL! right on Cody! I quoted you and gave you a shout out in this coming Sunday's video...I think you will like it!
@@RiverKingsKayak can't wait brother! Thanks
I would use one when going down the Haw
Right on Daniel!
I would use this to keep my stuff dry while paddling in KC
Good deal Sean, Kansas City? Never paddled out that way.
@@RiverKingsKayak lots of lakes and flat rivers. Hopeful to hit the rivers next year and do some camping both on the river and at the lakes. I need to get creative and find a way to train for some whitewater kayaking as I plan to head out your way sometime in the next year or so. I have access to some pools to work on rolls, now I need a creek boat!
Happened to be looking for a dry bag this morning, and look at what video gets uploaded hours ago...
Ha ha! perfect timing!
I do not own a single dry bag! I would put an extra layer of clothes in it for summer paddling. I am always drenched when i get out of any river (not swimming)! lol
Awesome Julie! That would be a game changer for sure!
Looks like i need to call Gatewood and order some gear.
Yes Sir DD!!
DD, do it, they're well worth the money

i love his products i did a review of the backpack on my channel that thing is indestructible.
Awesome!!!
Maybe I need it for Canada, or the Greenbrier, or maybe.....🤫
I love your thinking!!
Canada???
We were supposed to go last May, but that trip was cancelled. The last that I heard the borders were still closed. Any word on them reopening?
@@mountainsmoore3657 haven't heard
20L is perfect size for lunch. Throw a pack of hot dogs and some buns, a bottle of mustard and some chips in there and surprise the boys on a day out fishing. Spark a fire and spread a feast!
Love it Matt!! Sounds like a perfect day on the river!
Can you really ever have enough dry bags? They look heavy duty and a good place to stuff a change of clothes or a hammock and quilts during a hike or kayak trip. Take care, Pete!
Totally agreed! Thanks GG!
👍📱🎨🏜🎒4🛶&🚤
right on Jill!
