This is music history! Gigants! They were really good friends. Tina Turner s famous comeback was thanks to Bowie. And 20 years before this, Janis Joplin famously said her favorite singer was not other than Tina Turner.

Did you see Tina’s expression when that girl jumps up on stage? Bowie was duch a professional he never broke stride

To answer your question : yes, the girl jumping on stage to hug and kiss the singer was 100% real. Those were the days where the worst thing an artist could fear from its public was to have a kiss stolen by a fan in the middle of a song. You're not gonna see that happening anymore, I guess...

If you want to listen to Bowie on one of his many brilliant albums, listen to the Young Americans album in its entirety, you will be blown away. On this album Bowie introduces us to a young Luther Vandross, he was one of David's backing singers. When David agreed to appear on stage with Tina, it is a known fact that they had a very passionate time just before the gig,,,not leaving the hotel room for a long period, and it's reported that when Bowie whispers something to Tina and they laugh, it was with reference to this time together where David is to have said that a part of his anatomy was still sore,,,whether this is true or not, many other stars have said that they were told it was,,,so yeah,,give Young Americans album, a listen, take care, Tony

Short & sweet. Just nice when two heavy hitters share the stage. Fun video, looked like they were having fun. JJ that sax player was famous for his flashiness. RIP.

The muscular sax player was Tom Capello, you reacted to his song “I Still Believe.” Lore goes that they hooked up the night before this was filmed.!

Does Bowie say what I think he says to Tina while they are dancing at the beginning?

Niles Rogers (Chic) helped revive Bowies career.

Well, it was Bowie's idea to do more commercial songs on the Let's Dance album because he was doing the Serious Moonlight tour, his first big tour of America in awhile... and he wanted songs that would play well in big stadiums. He picked Nile Rogers and others to make the songs. Not to take anything away from Nile who is a groove master.
