Sanna slayed at her year. No other swedish entry has overpassed her. That heart and voice, she tried to represent Sweden 7 times and when she did, she gave her soul on stage. A queen.

Sweden had really great entries in past 10 years! "Heroes", "If I Were Sorry", "I Can't Go On" are still hits in Poland. I love Cornelia's song - I have chills everytime when I hear this.
Replace the 2nd and 3rd entry with "You" and "Undo" and I totally agree

Country which every year has eurovision winning song in their national final. Many questionable choices when it comes to melodifestivalen winners but overall nice country. Cornelia lowkey saved them.

@@esciveta5507 exactly. Mamas in 2020 were pretty good but apart from that (which doesn't really count anyway) after 2015 the Swedish entries haven't been the best. Then came 2022 and Cornelia brought the high standard back - would have deserved top3 at the end. Sadly they kind of retorted back to mediocricy with this years song.. Loreen herself is great tho

Queen Cornelia was literally the first right winner in Melfest in my opinion 2010-2022! And she is the most fantastic live singer and performer I have ever seen💚 All of her songs deserves soo much more!!
Sanna, Måns and John were the right choice as well imo. They were the best and only viable options their respective years.
@@andrew_l__l_5896 2014 had Helena Paparizou and Alcazar aka masterpieces, 2015 had Don't stop believing and Don't stop which I love and 2019 had Mina Bränder, Om om och om igen and Torn which I also love so yeah. Just my opinion
@@emmakristoffersson8229 Personal favorite and right winners are totally different things in my opinion. The right winner should be the entry that’s best suited to represent Sweden and get a high score where as personal favorite could be anything you like.

@@emmakristoffersson8229 I’m Swedish and I don’t really know what you talk about. You could do an argument that Benjamin Ingrosso won thanks to fame but the only other alternative was Felix sandman and he’s under the same category. They had the best entries that year as well.

Sanna was for sure robbed and you *should* say it no matter how much time has passed! Undo and her whole performance were the best in 2014 easily. I would say Cornelia was robbed as well but it was a very competitive year and honestly I couldn't choose the winner from my top three in 2022 (Ukraine, Sweden, Serbia). So I'm glad all of them made it to top5, tho Cornelia deserved top3 at least.. Gosh if Loreen wins this year I'll be so dissapointed

I love many of their entries, they really brought some amazing masterpieces, and sadly there were also overrated ones. Generally as a country in ESC Sweden is easily in my top 15 :) love from Italy to Sweden

Ironic that you are from Italy.... which is the only true competition for Sweden in recent dominance. Year to year winners can be affected SO MUCH by recent events (see 2022) or popular trends, and dont always reflect the "best" sing, just the most popular with Juries and Televote.

Sweden might be overrated with juries and i agree with that, but Italy isn't definitely less overrated with the televoters imo

But we have to say that Italy always brings quality entries in the last years (that can be liked or not) so I can understand why sometimes we are higher than what people expected. Same with Sweden, they Always bring very jury friendly songs, so it's normal they are Always High in the jury ranking, but sometimes (like 2017,2018 and 2019) they are too High for me.

YES! But I liked Ukraine too last year so I don't mind them winning. And realistically Cornelia had no chance against them so I would have been more than happy with 2nd place. However if she won Mello this year instead, she would have definitely been a very likely winner and deservedly so
Since 2010, arguably the 3 worst entries finished NQ, 13th, 14th. Everything else has been top 7 to winning. I think we can reasonably assume The Mamas would have been top 10 also. The ONLY possible competitor to that level of excellence is Italy. These two will be slugging it out for supremacy for a long time! 😎🥳

Honey’s. We are the 2nd (3rd depending on how you count) biggest exporter of pop music internationally. We, along with a few others, set the trends for what you hear on the radio.
You are obviously entitled to your comments but they to most people just scream of jealousy and a complete lack of knowledge about the music industry. We know what works. What appeals to the masses. Just like we do with furniture and clothing.

ABSOLUTELY NOT. The Scandinavium was good enough a couple decades back, but it doesnt even come close to the current EBU requirements. It's pretty much Malmo or Stockholm, unless some Swedish city builds another enclosed stadium or large arena.

@@lucyamerioun9544 Please try to use your brain on that idea.. There isn;t a roof, and it would be impossible build one. AFAIK only Copenhagen 2001 and Dusseldrof 2011 have been held in real stadiums, but both had a roof to cover the area.

Sweden should replace Spain in the top 5 because Sweden is one of the most successful countries in Eurovision. Love from the USA 🇺🇸
It's not "the top 5", but "the _big_ 5". Being in the "Big 5" has nothing to do with being successful or in the top, but the opposite. The "Big 5" status was created so the biggest countries, that provides the most money to the contest, wouldn't risk not qualifying and not being in the grand final. So "Big 5" just means that they get an automatic ticket to the final without having to work for it in the semis like the rest of the countries.

It's been 24 years since Sweden sang in swedish ! I miss beautiful swedish songs like Fångad av en stormvind. Please Sweden, stop singing in english and bring back your beautiful language (Jean-Marc from France)
Well, as long as SVT is serious about challenging for the win, Swedish wil lnever pull out a win at Mello.. .Barring some truly exceptional rarity. Swedish has such incredibly limited appeal to the broader European audience. At least French, Italian, and Spanish are more broadly appreciated. Portuguese less used, but deeply appreciated by many who know Spanish (as Salvador and Maro have shown)
I think the swedish artists are not allowed yo sing in their language in Eurovision, they have to change their song to English in the case they win Melodifestivalen.
