An extraordinary player who combined every possible attribute of technique, vision, intelligence, timing, class and talent with the physical strength a great midfielder needs. A true baller, living legend!
The only person close is Toure YaYa
sincerely, i see him to be zizou's direct replacement
Rate scholes higher
As I remembered, Seedorf in his younger day were known for his physicality and stamina, along with Edgar Davids
His balance was unreal! I’m glad I had the pleasure of watching him play with and without hair 😅

One of the most iconic teams to ever play the game: Kaka, pirlo, maldini, wow. And he clearly stands out, shows his class. It really feels like football was different back then. Can’t imagine what a seedorf transfer fee would be today…
But coins and gold bars just

He's one of those guys who could do everything at an elite level, making him dangerous in virtually every scenario
One of the best midfielders. Great physique and football IQ. Always outstanding on the biggest stage
What a player!! Hopefully Kobbie Mainoo will be as good as him 🔥
Exactly
The older he got, the better he became, i think he could join any club now and still be an important player, never seen a guy so fit.
Wrong, at the age of 33-34 he was like a shell of himself, he was even booed by his own fans. Don't get me wrong, Seedorf is one of the best midfielders of all time, but after 2007 the only word i can think of is "decline"
@@paolopetraglia8639 you are crazy😂😂😂
@@wesleyschneider926 no i'm not, you don't know what you're talking about, trust me. I'm italian and i know several Milan supporters, they would tell you the same.
Midfield is that way. What stops you is the physicality.
@@paolopetraglia8639 You are right. Even though he was still a good player and had moments of magic that would allow to make a great compilation, on a season long time frame he wasn't THAT good, and that is what matters when you want to win. Also, even though he LOOKS psychically fit, it did not translate in his fitness on the field. At 33-34 he didn't have any speed, for instance, although he was able to somewhat compensate that with his vision and positioning.
One of the best all-around players in modern football. Period. His tremendous deployment gave an extra to the teams where he was, influencing these teams to take a step forward, from being excellent teams to being champions. The numbers that support what I say are there.
Kobbie Mainoo reminds me of Seedorf in the way he moves; his composure and balance. His close control, passing and vision might be on par at some point in the future but I don't know about his shot (yet). It may proof to be difficult to reach the same level as Seedorf in each regard, goes to show how complete a player Seedorf was.
Came here to say this but you beat me to it. Kobbie is very talented, needs to work on imposing himself more in games which I think he will do when he gets a bit more confident.
I wonder if Rio Ferdinand read your comment? 😉(He said the same after Mainoo's great finish against Wolves!)
@SalomonSpinoza you beat me to it
God this guy was just the complete package...and to imagine AC had a combination of seedorf, pirlo, Gatuso/Ambrosini, and the icing on the cake kaka to call upon as their midfield options was scary....that Ac Milan team was truly legendary.
I came here because I saw some moves from Kobbie Manioo that was crazy similar, so I had to come and refresh my mind of the master that is Seedorf
Seedorf was a complete monster on the pitch . Gully at every club he was at . The speed and power , beautiful to watch
Speed??

5 in total, look it up…..
He actually won four two with Milan one each with Madrid and Ajax
The crazy thing is, all the footage is post prime Seedorf as it's all AC footage, and he still looks so powerful and agile
I disagree. I felt he got better with age and time. He was very raw at Ajax and Real Madrid. At AC he was consistent, solid and his all round game was better.
@@johnmitchell2269The only player to ever win the Champions League with 3 different Clubs and he won it 4 times.
Something about the dutch players of the 90's and 00's. Bergkamp, Kluivert, Seedorf, Davids, Overmars, Van Nistelrooy, Van der Saar, etc, etc. They blew my mind as those were the years I was really learning to appreciate and fall in love with the game. The Dutch, despite no other affiliation, have a place in my heart 'til this day. They shaped the qualities of top players for me, perhaps more than any other nation.
It's that emphasis on the first touch and technique, something special about the way they control the ball.
Even though he played his last match in '93 and therefore does not entirely fit in that list, I would still like to mention Marco van Basten. Due to an ankle injury he played his last match at the age of 27, and by then he had already won the Ballon d'Or three times. Maybe not everyone sees him as one of the greatest of all time, but that certainly would have been the case without that injury.
@@yskr0102 he is.
Robben, van Persie,Snijder .. and so on....
Ajax coach players from a very young age to be able to play in every position. They don't care how good you are in your favoured position, they want to see how you cope in all the positions. This is how you end up with all rounders like Bergkamp, Davids, Seedorf, Sneidjer, Frenkie De Jong.
Outstanding CM. Had absolutely everything. Combine power n finesse the way very few have ever done so.
Despite his trophy laden mantel he remains weirdly underrated.
His vision, passing, shooting and dribbling are immaculate
i was looking for this, he was completely a monster.
He's called Mainoooooooo
Kobby Mainoo brought me here ❤
Big shoes to fill
I see the similarities to Mainoo now what a player
What! Eh hell no. Not even closely similar 😂
Just..... No.
Mainoo is very similar

Are you comedy me 😂😂😂😂
I didn't realise he was that good, thank you for the compilation
Me neither. Here he is like Modric and Salah combined in some impossible ultra technical attacking visionary. Never realised he was this good. Actually think he is very much like Bellingham in his movement, amazing anticipation and ability to move his body and the ball in subtle but powerful ways, fast acceleration, brutal strike power and clinical finishing.
The only player to win the champions league with 3 different teams: Ajax, Real Madrid and AC Milan. Dude was a beast.
Kobbie Mainoo is his regen
impresive power... one of my faviorite players... all rounded Seedorf
Put some respect on his name! Ridiculously underrated even in his own country!
Well he played shit at the home team. No way to deny that.
Should he have been used better , 100%
My favorite player! A great legend and a model ❤👍🏿
Ageing is a sad thing. What a legend.
This is the best compilation I have seen from him!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
My all time favourite player. I really appreciate this video
He make other midfiled shine bright, pirlo kaka know that.. no midfielder today has composure when received the ball, he knew what he should did after.. thank u Clerence for being part of my beloved club ❤
He is also very intelligent. Love Clarence the pundit - speaks Dutch, English, Italian and Spanish. These clips are great what a player - power, pace, dribbling, awareness, passing, fitness, and could play anywhere in midfield. Completely underrated in England.
Don't forget the Surinam language, Sranangtongo and I think he also speaks Portuguese.
Holy shitt, Mainoo play exactly like this
who here because of kobbie mainooooooooooo
passed on in the name of kobbie mainoo. when man utd need a world class caliber midfield the most 😢
Thank you for showing how unreal Seedorf was. I don't think he gets the recognition that he deserves - possibly because he did not play in England and he was in Seria A at his peak.
Serie A at the time was elite
serie A wasn't his peak go check his brief stay at Madrid
Kobbie👏
Clarence Seedorf, Andrea Pirlo and Paul Scholes defined versatile midfield play in the 2000s.
Fantastic, he wore the #10, but he was playing the 6 and the 8 as well. Unplayable in his time. Joga Bonito.
I think better than Zidane
@@clyde.n7578 they both have same the same number of champions league's. both played for amazing teams, but Zidane played for better teams overall at club and international levels. Imo they are just as good.
@@ajax2.087Seedorf has 5 UCLs and Zidane only 1
@@ajax2.087 odd comment
@@rhino_2832 Teams win UCLs, not players. You can also say Zidane 1 Ballon d'Or and 3 FIFA Player of the Years whereas Seedorf none.
Il Professore (The Professor) for his overall intelligence and intellect. A polyglot as he’s fluent in his native Dutch along with English, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. He also won four Championship League titles with three different clubs. Ajax, Real Madrid and AC Milan. He had incredible athleticism, tenacity, ability, skill, stamina, determination and talent.
His true number should be 1068 as those are all the midfield positions that he covers and excels at. Absolutely insane, the only recent midfielder that still plays and covers all midfield positions like Seedorf is Modric. Just so unique since more and more players are becoming specialised in one single position than multiples❤🖤
I see Jude Bellingham follow in his footsteps.
@@DjLuCKyCHaRM yea he’s incredible especially for his age. Has the unique ability and vision to do it all, especially if he keeps honing his craft!
His just more than a midfielder, he's so exceptionally and extraordinary player which makes him so irreplaceable among others..
As a Liverpool fan since 2006 I can only say this player is like if Firmino + Coutinho were fused into one. The vision, touch, reading of the game, trickery, link up play, finishing, variation bt power and finesse, willingness to take ppl on. It’s like 2 Brazilians into one. Fantastic.
As a liverpool fan you should put Gerard in the mix too..
Seedorf is everything thiago wishes he was and i say that respectfully. Man was as fit as anything and a monster in every aspect of footballing.
@@jaskoid2415gerrard is nowhere near Seedorf
Unsung legend of many legendary teams. The complete CM💯
And people be saying that modric is the goat midfielder💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Lol he is no where near
Seedorf was amazing just like his contemporaries but if you want to enjoy watching Seedorf then the raw, younger version at Ajax and Real Madrid was also a joy to watch especially his friendship and connection with Roberto Carlos at Madrid!
What a player he was
One of the most underestimated players ever. Specially in Holland. He never got the recognition he deserved. They only like to hype up the white players like Sneijder and Frenkie de Jong now. Davids and Seedorf belonged to the best in the world in there prime.
He was a titan of the midfield!
I have a request, i would like to see a video made by you about Pavel Nedved, another titan of the midfield, a complete video like this one, not only with goals, but goals, passings and dribbling.. thank you if you do it❤
In the future I will definetely make a video about him
@@AJcompsHD THANK YOU!❤
The Czech team of early 00s was a legendary side... Petr Cech, Jankulovski, Nedved, Rosicky, Smicer, Baros, Koller...
@@TorbenCASchwartz true! Pavel Nedved was the diamond tip of the team, but it was a great team composed by very good players, no doubt!
Talking about my childhood when I started to love Nedved i say
Nedved, Trezeguet and Del Piero were my Messi, Suarez and Neymar when I was an 8-9 years old kid in 2002 and 2003.. in that period Juventus was wonderful! Too bad Nedved missed that UEFA Champions League final at Old Trafford against AC Milan another great team, but i'm convinced if Nedved was in the final Juventus would have won the game and the trophy because Nedved in 2003 was too much good, but Juventus had not a sotitute of him, in AC Milan there were Rui Costa and Rivaldo like Attacking midfielders, while Juventus had not an alternative in that role (the alternative was Camoranesi but he was not in his prime and however his primary role was right midfielder second role central midfielder and only third role attacking midfielder)
This is Juventus 2002/03 probably my favourite Juventus of all of time:
. Buffon
. Thuram Ferrara Montero Birindelli
. Tacchinardi
. Zambrotta E.Davids
. Nedved
. Trezeguet Del Piero
Coach: Marcello Lippi
Nowadays i'm disappointed with Juventus, i hope Juve can early return the ancient Juve.. one of the most beautiful team in the world..
Kobbie Mainoo with the right coaching.....Maybe one day...who knows. However, four champions league titles with: Ajax, Real Madrid and AC Milan is from a different planet!
wow! I most certainly enjoyed that. what a player. extraordinary
Wow pure class❤
One of my all time favorites
I do not agree that Zidane is better than Seedorf. Those long shots from outside the 18 yard box are amazing
Both pretty much same level
Plus Milan's midfield at the time so much more enjoyable: Pirlo, Seedorf, Kaka and Gattuso - doesn't get any better than that. I'd pick them any day over Zizou, Becks, Guti and Gravesen.
difference is Zidane did it in big international stage and finals to make himself legend. truthfully he wasnt even that consistent week in week out
@@Dilllll26 He was, though
Zidane is way better than him. Zizou was more offensive than him. Zizou brings the danger to you himself. He will not give the ball to someone else to miss the opportunity. He will pass you the ball at the best moment. Zidane is more vertical than him. Don’t let this footage lie to you. I have seen Seedorf missing tone of opportunities to score. But Zidane is not the case. I have never seen a player with Zidane IQ. When Zidane was playing with France, Spain with Xavi and Iniesta, Italy with Totty and Del Pierro or Pirlo, Brazil with Kaka and Ronaldinho and Ronaldo and Robinho and Adriano, France was winning these great team and for the all part of these victories Zizou was orchestrating the game flow. Zidane was not really spectacular like Ronaldinho but he was often making the right call. Zidane was the beauty of football, the elegance of the game in motion. Zidane is the real GOAT.

Fantastic video. Class player, Seedorf is a legend. First song was good, rest wasn't to me, but hey. That's life.
My personal inspiration as a player.
EXTRAORDINARY. This VIDEO IS UNDERRATED
Its his *awareness and finesse for me*. Guy was jus too good
What i liked most about him was his intelligence and composure... For me , he's among my top5 midfielders
It is how effortlessly he does it for me. Makes it look almost easy!
Players who are muscular and powerful like him, they usually tend to be quite wooden and basic, but this guy was sauve, had guile, elegance and composure on the ball to go with his unmatched physicallity. In many ways he was a perfect fit for the PL. I remember how raw and inconsistent he was at Ajax and Real Madrid, but at AC and also at Inter, his all round game just developed so incredibly well and he became a midfield enforcer off the ball and a midfield mastero on it. Must have been such a difficult player to play against. Rocket of a shot as well.
Edgar Davids and CLarence Seedorf - loved those Netherlands!
Fantastic Player. Legend! 👌
He scored another beauty in the benefit game for Ukraine last week!
The comparisson may not be perfect, but I feel that Camavinga has a similar playstyle, with more agility but less strenght.
Spot on, Camavinga lack the final third effectiveness but he's only 20, it should come with age

He had the skills and the shooting power, he is still in great condition if he wanted to play. What a legend.
Kobbie mainoo plays like this ❤️
One of the best central midfielders in history true legend and cl winner with 3 different clubs
In seedorfs time and perhaps before 2009, until guardiola came...players played with their own brain deciding on the decisions in real time on the play field..managers like guardiola ruined the game in a way. He tells you if it happens like you do this. If that happens you do this, he doesn't encourage players who want to base their play on spontaneous creativity and decisions that the player would like to take himself, rather he prefers players who will behave as robots to his instructions and carry out exactly as wanted otherwise you are out of the team.

You would've been correct had it not been for the fact that Clarence Seedorf grew up in the Ajax Amsterdam Academy that created the Barcelona and Pep Guardiola philosophy of Total Football. The Barcelona DNA is actually the Dutch DNA that groom Seedorf. Pep doesn't really change player's style; he just teach them how to play on the half-turn, since all his players must be able to beat the press: beit defender, midfielder, or a striker. Seedorf's individuality would've been welcomed by Pep, seeing it would enhance his team. Where Pep takes issue is when one's individuality hinders the team play. I think your observation is very insightful, though I disagree to an extent. I think you overlooked an important aspect of past players as it pertains to modern players; players of the past were more skillful and creative. Yes, I know I just blasphemed...😂
@@malakyahmalla8009 Your insight regarding the link between the Dutch/Ajax footballing philosophy and the playing style cultivated at the La Masia Barcelona academy, renowned for its excellence, is accurate.
Nevertheless, it remains entirely plausible that despite Seedorf's shared exposure to these footballing principles that shaped Guardiola as a player, Guardiola, in his role as a coach, took those very principles to new heights, embracing a level of meticulous management that one could argue borders on micromanagement.
@@sdotlondonkid I couldn't disagree with your assessment here. Re micromanagement, let's use Raheem Sterling as an example of Pep's meticulous nature. Though this will be an unpopular opinion, I believe that Raheem is currently one of the most tactically astute players in World Football, and this is down to Pep's relentlessly nature. In fact, Raheem has mastered the art of getting behind the defense, though his finishing is woeful! Raheem was for City what Pedro was for Barcelona. If anyone should be studied as a blueprint of Pep's micromanagement skills it would be Sterling. I put it to you that much of negative attention that Raheem gets is down to his skill of breaking the defensive line. That is why his misses tend to overshadow the above skill taught to him by Pep!
0:04 pretty sure this celebration is same as mainoo did when he scored the 90th winner against wolves 😮❤
