I’m wearing contacts and have been told that I better close my eyes when taking my mask off under water. However I’ve done that about 5 times at least, keeping my eyes open, and it hasn’t been a problem.
I’m looking to buy a mask and I actually just came back from testing a few. I do prefer the single lens mask because it did make a difference in having a less obstructed view. Will definitely go for non-transparent silicone as well.

My mask fits great, but the downside is it's a leaky foggy bastard.
How can it fit and still leak? Is there something wrong with the mask?
@@50ftBelow That's a good question. I've checked for tears/holes in the silicone, and found nothing. Maybe my stubble is just a little too thick for a proper seal.
Which mask do you have? For example the Mares X-vision had some production problems for example.
