Gold casting equipment arrived today !! I will try to finish a gold casting video within 2 weeks! It’s a lot of work to finish such a project, so these lava videos are filling the empty space in between the casting projects ;)

If anybody is curious, the dry ice did not "win", we didn't see long enough of the experiment to see if the lava would cool or still the dry ice would sublimate first (solid to gas transformation).
The gas from the dry ice becomes a barrier between the two and slows the heating, and the hard rock outer layer of the 'lava' also becomes an insulator, the lava was still hot, hundreds or thousands of degrees hot.
Hi Mallchad, because you seemed knowledgeable, I have a question about this case.
A Silver Paste go through an oven drying to get dried up, does it dry up or solidify even more if it is hit by a wind from a cooling fan as soon as it gets out from the oven drying?
Straight up looks like a chunk of some daedric metal.

What I learned today.
You can make lava in your backyard.
Ice comes in boxes.
Dry Ice doesn't melt from lava.
It is actually dry ice which is way colder than regular ice.
*dry ice.... Regular ice won't even have any chance agnst lava
