    Hello friends,
Jeremy here. Here's a hands on look at the Black Chrome Leica 50mm F1.4 ASPH Summilux.
The black and white pictures featured in this video were shot on Ilford HP5 pushed 2 stops, and Fomapan 400, developed in Ilfotec HC on a rotary processor.
I use colour films as well, a few being Kodak portra 160, 400, 800, Color plus, Ultramax and Gold, Fujifilm PRO160NS and PRO400H.
If you're looking for a vintage Leica lens, this is definitely one to consider. If you love film photography too, join me here on this channel!
    Peace,
    Jeremy-T aka JeremyT aka JeremyTphotography

A big shoutout to Leslie from Prime Camera Singapore who loaned me this lens!

My two favorite 50 mm M lenses are this black chrome Summilux ASPH and the silver chrome Summilux version 2 (1962). Both have the same vintage barrel design that I like.

Like you, I just love vintages lenses. My kit is the 35 lux pre a steel rim v2 & the 50mm lux pre a v3, fantastic parings. Enjoy.

Fun fact, also an APO lens if you check out the lens formula from Leica.

its a very nice lens indeed. The 50 1.2 looks sweet too even though, is a difficult lens to use. Had the 50 1.4 BC and now decided to use an underdog (Heliar CV 50 1.5).. :)

I use 50/f1.2 starting from f1.4, not difficult to use at all then. I just like the Noctilux rendering more than Lux.

Mine says made in Germany but I was told they were all made in Portugal… I’m confused haha.. just got it yesterday now I’m in market for an MA body… what came first!

This 50 Lux Black Chrome seems to be finally out of production. The German-made versions have gone out of stock at most retailers for almost a year now without being replenished. Only the Portugal-made versions remain for sale as new at most retailers. This would make sense as the new close focus version of the 50 Lux may have displaced it. Perhaps we will see a new close-focus black chrome version in the future.

German made 50 Lux black chrome is widely available in HK market, and it costs about USD 4000. Sorry to burst your bubble. This so called limited edition is not sought after.

@@jinqian3995 Everyone knows it's not a limited edition. There is no bubble to burst. But I have been told it's finally no longer being produced. That doesn't mean you still won't find them in stock. In the US, the new stock German versions are all but gone. HK market is its own beast and not indicative of anything except itself.
