Runick is just an engine, so it's completely up to what it's being played with as to what kind of deck it is.
Bystial Runick has Runick in it for it's ability to be part of a synchro engine. While you theoretically have the ability to deck opponents out, it's not something that you're really going to be doing unless you're forced into it because your opponent is playing some kind of stall strategy. You will usually be winning on turn 5 whenever you go first, as you obviously can't use your battle phase on turn 3 when you use your Runick cards turn 1.
Watching for the few runic bystial duels. Hands down the best thing that happened in this fire meta
Going against a synchro/fusion Runick deck is more toxic than anything a fire deck has done. It’s not healthy for the game to banish someone’s entire deck it’s why Kash is so hated vs Fire decks
@@lawrencemalone-px6qe Except Bystial Runick doesn't play to mill the opponent, it plays a control style to set up a board state to attack for game. Unhealthy is decks that can consistently one card combo through multiple hand traps (Snake Eyes) for lethal.

@@lawrencemalone-px6qe What planet are you living on? On the first turn the most a combo-runick player will banish is 4 cards, and that's only if they're lucky enough to draw their semi-limited copies of Tip + Slumber. No functional deck is going to instantly lose because of 4 random banishes.

There really were some people complaining about rescue player playing only 1 pop. Yes let me add a second copy of a bad draw so I draw it more often

But aren't 2 poplar at least wouldn't screw your bonfire when you draw poplar? And if you're lucky have poplar and diabellstar, you can just discard it to summon diabellstar. R.ace player often use 40+4(or more) cards to offset the 4 card that will be set through turbulence, just add 1 more poplar wouldn't hurt imo. Im not r.ace player so i don't really know a lot abt this deck, but if i build one, maybe I'll use 2 poplar.
The point of adding a second copy of a card you don't want to draw in your opening hand but want to do something with it in your deck is to reduce the chances it's not in your deck when you need it to be. Running 2 copies means you still have one of them available even if you do draw the other one. It's a little counter-intuitive but it does make sense. Go look at most Rescue Ace lists, most run 2 Poplar.

@@Test-mq8ih people don't care about diversity, they only care if their deck is usable or not. It also makes sense since pros make up like 95% of tournaments players.
I see that as a win if you ask me. Konami going through the meta decks first so we can play the other decks after. Imagine centurion came this month and died next month due to fire kings.

Love how chat keeps pointing out Maxx C as a "Snake-Eyes" card.
A lot of chat is pretty stupid tbh. For example, pure Snake Eyes is pretty dead as a tournament viable deck. The ban-list did exactly what it was supposed to do.
People complaining about Snake Eyes are just ignoring that literally nobody was playing pure and everyone who had it in their deck was playing it with something else.

The whole thing about "Maxx c is the best snake eyes card" is just poking fun at how stupidly generic and game breaking the card is, the player could've been playing any other deck and the joke would fit perfectly, it's not about talking smack about snake eyes it's about pointing out the stupidity of Maxx c

And I get it, it’s frustrating having a particular deck(s) dominate the meta. But the people who say “I’ll be back if they hit snake eyes!” It’s like why didn’t you leave when tear dominated the meta? What made you stick around when it was branded? Were you playing when prank kids was tier 1?
They will hit snake eyes. May not be today, may not be tomorrow, but it will get hit. And then, there will be a new tier 1 or tier 0 deck and the same birds will start chirping again.
So while I understand the frustration, the whining seems like an exercise in futility.
My initial thought about Fire Kings is that they should have more synergy with something like Tri Brigade because of their types. But now I see successful decks seem to play Diabelles, Bonefires and full Snake eyes packages. Still kinda doesn't seem right.
I love this version of ruinix. I don't hate the dack anymore, rather I made one and I love it. This version isn't toxic at all.

I'd be surprised if anything but Kirin gets touched, and even then only dropped to 2. Fire King itself isn't oppressive enough to get cards limited, it's the Snake Eyes engine that's oppressive.
