    1. Compression and rarefaction
    2. Light wave (since it can travel through vacuum no air )
    3. sound travel much faster in solid because the particles in solid are compacted together leaving no gap which able the sound wave or vibration to travel quickly. Sound travel faster in liquid as well because liquid particle has a slight gap between particles and sound wave travel quick when liquid particles are close to each other. While in gas it is slower that liquid and solid , because gas has wider and chaotic gap or movement so therefore sound wave can only travel in few gas particles unless the temperature is warm.

    1) In a sound wave , the region of high pressure is called compression and the region of low pressure is called Rarefaction .2) Electromagnetic wave does not require any material median for their propagation . 3) Sound travel in solid is more faster than liquid and gas because in solid particles are more closely pack to each other as compare to liquid and gas and in liquid particles are not much far away as compare to gas , so thats why sound travel in liquid is faster than gas .

  • @rucharajan9019
    @rucharajan9019 Před 8 měsíci +7

    1. In a sound wave the region of higher pressure and lower pressure are known as compressions and rarefraction. One compression and rarefaction come together to form a wave. Higher pressure refers to compressions and lower pressure refers to rarefaction.
    2. Waves which do not need a medium for their propagation are known as electromagnetic waves. An example of an electromagnetic wave is light which can travel through a vacuum. Waves which do need a medium for their propagation are known as mechanical waves. Mechanical waves are categorised into transverse waves and longitudinal waves. Transverse waves are the waves in which particles vibrate perpendicular to their medium of propagation. Longitudinal waves are the waves in which particles vibrate parallel to their medium of propagation.
    3. sound travels fastest in solids, then liquids, then gases. The particles of a solid are closely connected and when sound is produced in it then vibration can travel from one particle to another very quickly and efficiently since they are all so closely packed compared to vibrations travelling in liquid. In liquid particles are not very closely packed so sound cannot travel as efficiently and quickly as in solids as the vibrating particle needs to travel in search of another particle to transfer the vibration. Similar is the case between liquids and gases, liquids have particles more closely spaced together as compared to gases and thus can transfer vibrations quicker than gases.

1:Region of high pressure is the region of high compression of the sound waves in air &
the region of low pressure is the region of low compression of the sound wave in air.
2: Electromagnetic waves do not need any medium to travel like light.
3:In solids the particles are tightly packed so the sound waves can travel faster than a liquid
and in a liquid the particles are loosely packed but not as loose as air so the sound waves

    1 - a - Compression
    b - Refraction
    2 - Electromagnetic Waves
3 - Sound waves are just disturbed air particles. Sound waves travel faster in solids than in liquids and in air because the particles are tightly packed (closest in comparison to other types of particles resulting in sound particles to easily jump and travel between solids) If we compare it to liquids and gases, liquids have a medium distance between each of its particles and gases have the furthest distance between each of its particles. This distance makes it proceedingly difficult for sound waves to travel.

Ans to 1: High is compression and low is rarefaction.
Ans to 2: Electromagnetic Waves do not need medium to propagate.
Ans. to 3: Solids are significantly denser tha liquids or gases. This means that the molecules are closer to each other in solids than in liquids and in liquids than in gases. This closeness due to density means that they can collide very quickly. ... Due to this advantage, the speed of sound in a solid is larger than in liquid & gas.

In Liquids, molecules are somewhat loosely packed so it can propagate medium-high speeds. But in Gases though, they are very loosely packed so propagating through them is not a peice of cake.

1- region of High pressure is CMPRESSION. Region of low pressure is RAREFRACTION
    2- NO WAVE
3- Sound travel fastest in solids because the molecular arrangements are tightly packed so the transfer of sound energy is fastest. But in liquid molecules are less tightly packed than that of solids, and the molecular arrangements for gases is least tightly packed so sound can not transfer Faster in gases than that of liquid and solid.
    My answer is complete.

    Answer of questions:-
Q.1) In a sound wave , compression is a region of high pressure and rare faction is a region of low pressure.
Q.2) Electromagnetic wave does not need a material to travel.
Q.3) The molecules in solids are packed very tightly as compared to liquids is not packed as tightly. This enables sound to travel much faster through a solid than a gas.

    (i) The slope of the displacement-time graph at any instant gives the speed of the particle at that instant.
(ii) The slope of the velocity-time graph at any instant gives the magnitude of the acceleration of the particle at that instant.
(iii) The area enclosed by the velocity-time graph, the time-axis and the two co-ordinates at ,time instants t1 to t2 gives the distance moved by the particle in the time-interval from t1 to t2.
