RIP Tim Aymar. The only epic voice that fit Chuck's vision for his swansong work.
Awesome, Chuck and Aymar will never be forgotten.
This song is truely masterpiece, especially the guitaring and vocals.
Realise Steve is not only doubling what Chuck is playing most of the time he is also adding Bass fills to accent the drums. And he can do it live with out over dubs. Best metal bassplayer all time.
Oh yeah man, even on Individual Thought Patters he’s doing the same. Pretty sure on Human too, just can’t really hear him to much unfortunately
love that verse rift so much!!
I love Death To Death. This band would have been huge and chuck well the possibilities are endless. Its a terrible loss in metal history he's the best hands down in my eyes no other band fills the emptiness that Death and control denied has filled in my heart Rest In Peace to the best
3.24 That is a beatiful Riff.
Name one riff that's not beatiful in this song.
Name one riff that's not beatiful on this album.
Name one riff that's not beatiful in entire Schuldiner's heritage.
In the middle of learning this song on guitar and that riff gives me even more appreciation for how amazing it is now that I know how to play it. One of his best for sure ):
Chuck is god of metal music. Thats the true metal.AMAIZING
@@dangollapalli5113 The name "real metal" is pretty stupid, but I think people started using that becuse people that listen to the core genres (metalcore, deathcore, etc.) started calling them metal, which they are really not, they come from hardcore not metal
@@xXDarthKushGoonerXx ikrr you find a clear punk or hardcore influence coming from them, even listening to it I never have a feeling that I'm listening to metal
@@dangollapalli5113 Yeah, bit thats were many people fall into, they think is metal, and if you try to politely tell them that is not metal but a subgenre of core than theyll just call you elitist or gatekeeper and stuff like that. Thats why I really dont relate with core listeners
We miss you chuck, thank you for inspiring millions with your musical and lyrical powers.
I hope one day we can all see you
I really love early Death, but their later, more progressive stuff never really clicked with me. I respect what it did for the death metal genre, but I just couldn't get into it. Yet, hearing a lot of those similar song writing and riffing ideas translated to this band just made it work for me, for some reason. I'm amazed I wasn't aware of this band before today, but I'm glad I know about them. It's a shame both Chuck and Tim Aymar are gone, and it's especially heartbreaking that we not only didn't get more of this band, but didn't get to see where Chuck's creative vision went from here. Even if I wasn't a fan of all of his work, it amazes me how he just kept creatively evolving and growing. He was a real artist.
Those 2 solos just blow my fuckin mind, now thats epic, just like this entire album/song, absolute masterpiece, all around, hail chuck!
Your face is hiding deep inside my mind
Your touch is on my tongue
Your face is the deepest depths of my eyes
The eyes inside my soul
Once I was free, but now I am trapped
Once I was trapped, but now I am free
I taste the tears you bled
I felt the fears you shed
You thought I did not feel
You thought I could not taste
Consumed, escape through dreams
Consumed, trapped by dreams
Consumed, forever it seems
Do you feel the pain that I feel?
The pain that lives inside
Do you wear the chains that I wear
The ones that rub me raw
Every time it is the same three words
Every time the number speaks
And when you see me and you think I am there
You will know that it is just a dream
3:26 Not lying I think this is the best riff I’ve ever heard
Definitely not my favorite or the Best for me but it’s a damn good riff no doubt, Chuck is top 5 best riff writers ever in my book and a god tier songwriter. Such a beast
R.I.P. Tim Aymar 🔥🤘🔥
RIP Chuck everyone knows the world of metal would be so much different if you were still around.
Chuck, Shannon, Richard and Steve, great combo :)
I have no fucking clue how I got here, but I'm glad I did!
2:52 Sounds like To Forgive is to Suffer
MY GOD. Stop trashing Tim Aymar. This is one of the best vocal performances I've ever heard in my life since I heard this record for the first time. It's full of passion, pain, love, suffering and feeling. Tim you're one of my favorite singers EVER.
Tim`s vocals are absolute kick-ass!!! Anyway, the lyrics are written for him, and he sings them the best way!
I always thought it was tim ripper Owens but I guess I was wrong to assume considering they sound similar.
@@philipchidester3114 yeah hes better, chuck thought so too or else he wouldve done the vocals himself.
The intro is so amazing, R.I.P Chuck
You know the first time I listened to this album I had the same apprehension about Aymar's vocals as everyone else, but after listening a number of times his performance is incredible and it absolutely fits the album.
Just a master piece!!!!! All the players are greats and vocals are tight and awesome! I love this record. Chuck is one of the greatest song writers in history. Jus listen to his music and get into the meat and potatoes of it.
I wish the intro could last forever
Haven't heard this album in YEARS! I remember buying it back in high school (we were a bit bummed at the time cause the harsh vocals were gone) and I'm getting such a huge nostalgia trip right now. Some time after that Chuck passed away and me and my friends were just fuckin' crushed. Love and miss you Chuck \m/
This is a masterpiece... Awesome!
I thought it was chuck singing the entire time (been a death fan for years and decided to give this a listen finally) but damn this guy Tim Ayamar is already one of my fav vocalists he really has such a nice driving voice
Definitely one of my favorite songs by them
Masterpiece...
This would have been metal's greatest band if Chuck didn't died. Deeply missed...
Decent and Chuck is amazing.. but hard to believe that this would of developed into something amazing. But, who knows
CHUCK SHULDINER! RIP BROTHER!!!
REST IN PEACE CHUCK SHULDINER....
5:14 esse solo sempre me quebra, R.I.P Schuldiner
Came here because of how similar to Death this sounded and now I've got yet another discography to go through :D RIP Chuck
DonnyZofChaos other than demos and unreleased material from CD ‘s unfinished second album this album was the whole discography.
Masterpiece! Great influence for us!
R.I.P. Tim Aymar.
Chuck the god of metal music
'Consumed, escape through dreams
Consumed, trapped by dreams
Consumed, forever it seems'
Simply beautiful...
How many feelings can words contain... and how these remain over time...
Rest in peace Chuck... lml
00:26 seems one of the Without Judgement riffs
02:26 seems one of the Spirit Crusher riffs
02:53 seems one of the Trapped In A Corner riffs
Death's memory and riffs is mixed in Chuck schuldiner's blood
R.I.P Tim and Chuck 🫶🏾🤘🏾
I always come back to this song when I go through a break up. It helps.
Cuando escuche este album, experimente el extasis del verdadero metal.
amazing....
My moment of clarity: Nevermore is inspired a lot by this band (at least it sounds like that)
masterpiece
This song rules
Listened to this today, brilliant final album for Chuck Schuldiner! My favorite classy heavy metal album from the late 90's!
amazing music and lyrics
R.I.P. Tim
the possibility of what this band could have been gave me huge goosebumps!
RIP Tim Aymar, fucking legend
Chuck barely did enough axework to do this one Control Denied album, and then the brain cancer took him. Chuck Shuldiner was taken from this world way too soon. RIP Chuck.
i *love* the vocals
I'm always disappoint when I mention Chuck and don't know who he is...RIP father of death metal
Thanks Chuck!
I recently bought the album. R.I.P Chuck!
Amigos de Relapse Records hagan un vídeo musical de esta canción, similar a lo realizado con Breaking the Broken.
Warrel Dane was gonna sing on this album until Nevermore started to blow up in Europe
I just watched the documentary death by metal, it brought me here
3:33 crystal mountain riff
R.i.p Tim Aymar
Deathened power metal...Because Chuck is death metal himself
sound same as sound of perseverance, perseverance is my opinion best album
white zombie sound or perseverance was suposed to be a control denied album but Chuck could not get it going for whatever reason so he made it as a Death Album
Spirit crusher, a moment of clarity and a story to tell were originally control denied songs
Chuck was tired of Death, but the record deal hadn't been completed yet, so in the end he took songs that would be from this album and sang them, and that's how "The Sound Of Perseverance" came about.
I named my band after this song.
3:46 pra mim o melhor momento da música.
Agreed.
Damn how peaple coud not undestand his music😞
Also check out Tim, psycho scream!
Uhhh nooooo incrrdible
@rsman169 it does to me too. sounds like you're standing outside of the concert rather than IN it
cds out of stock. i so wanna buy it
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
tune
Grande Chuck
Cancionsotaaaaa \m/
Chuck Schulder was the Motzer of Heavy Metal and sadly he was taken from us far too soon
Chuck was tired of Death, the last album had songs from that that were removed, even the guitar tone is similar. We can call this a "Sound Of Perseverance Part II".
RIP
@mrselfdestruct23 I agree
Cara como pode isso?19 deslike nessa música? 🤔🇧🇷
Avant-garde
Unrepeatable.
Evrende bir yerde bu albüm Warrel Dane ile kaydedildi ve yayınlandı....
480p sounds alot worse than 360p?
@ volta440x : you can also find better comments then yours.
Tim Aymar is a great singer and fits perfectly in this kind of music.
Kool shirt I need acouple
It would have been sick if Chuck did his screams like 60% of the time and used Tim's singing 40%
@lukejams HA! Nice one \m/
Suena al Jugulator
Tim Remember me R.J.Dio.......rip
However chuck was not so public but his music was masterpiece.
Rip Tim Aymar your vocals will be missed.
