Delightfully entertaining narration (with Punjabi tadka) by Salman Rashid. Enjoyed it thoroughly. I am an Indian (with Punjabi background and roots in Haripur Hazara). Love and respect from India.
Thank you very much. There's more to come. Stay with us.
LOVe you Sir
Nice to see you. I remember I was watching you on PTV when I was enjoying my childhood. Thanks to CZcams
Welcome back!

amazing & hell true sir.
Thank you very much, Waqas Wahla.
Love you respected sir
Thank you very much, Saeed Nizamani.
Salman sahib, my request is to give story of Nau Lakhi Kothi. You penned it down long time back. FYI a novel of the same name was also written by Ali Akbar Natiq revolving around this building.
I know of the novel. Never read it. I cannot do the story because of some errors in what I wrote. The family contacted me a couple of years ago. Sadly, I have lost their contact details. I have to see them and get the true story before I can do an episode here.
Beautiful narration as always with an enjoyable story. I have seen this structure in the 70's. It was a plain brick structure, which is now plastered as evident from your pictures. I totally agree with your contention that this structure has been made now with the connivance of some Irrigation dept Babu, who might have been convinced by the heirs of Taj Mahmood Amroti that there was a mosque in that particular place and you know yourself, the religious significance of construction of a mosque, especially in the land of pure ;) so the irrigation babu charged with such religious fervor would definitely have gone the extra mile to make for himself a name in both this dunya & hereafter ;).....hence the name Junejo masjid otherwise it would have been name Amroti mosque.
Zindabad! Thank you for this valuable input.
@salmanrashid8880 And incidentally, Taj Mahmood Amroti, whose ancestors now claim being Syed, never made this claim himself. I know of people who still have some revenue papers in which his zaat was written as Pirzada, not Syed, but all his ancestors claim lineage to the Prophet🤭😉😂😂😂😂
@@syedasimbashir That claim is the biggest joke ever. Every subcontinental Musim claims to either be from that line or to have come to India with MbQ. Total rubbish. We are all local people.
@@salmanrashid8880 Exactly. Except maybe for the person who got his DNA checked (HN) 🙃😂😂😂
خوش آمدید
12:39 Jinnah Barrage (c. 1946) was called Glancy Barrage. It was named after governor of Punjab Sir Bertrand James Glancy. A special purpose narrow-gauge line (2 feet only .. probably the narrowest gauge in Pakistan besides Chhanga Manga) was laid between Daud Khel Jn and barrage site for the transportation of construction material. There is a yard near Daud Khel station where abandoned bogies and locomotives are still rusting in open air. Sorry for digression. I thought that being a railfan you would find it interesting.
The rails of the line you mention are gone. I saw the old rolling stock at Daudkhel in 1985, but have no idea if it is still there.
Beautiful sir.
Your narration and spontaneous expressions are simply superb.adnan khan
Thank you very much, Adnan Khan.
Muhammad Khan Junejo
Syed taj mehmood amroti
Sir he was not ababa infact a revolutionary religious leader and a techer. Molana ubedullah sindhi also remained in amrot and got education from amroti saheb.

Muhammad Khan Junejo...PM
Sorry, sorry, sorry. My apologies. I genuinely forgot his name. Thank you for the correction, Mr Nizamani.
Sir
There is a question. As you explored the archives then you should have given the precise date and reason of construction of this non canal structure. Some approval, reason and funds must have been issued by some competent authority? Plz
Sir, there is nothing, absolutely NOTHING, on this mosque in the archives. That is why I suspect it was built unofficially, in unauthorised manner by some Irrigation Deptt babu during the 1950s.
Taj Muhammad Amroti was a naik person
He might have been a good man. But he was not God! That is where I differ with common tradition.
