In the Speedi.. use the bottom of the pot and Sear/Saute. You won't have that problem.

Thanks for the test Scott. Always good to have more options. Especially when it comes to bacon !

I think part of the bacon moving is related to the strength of the fan, I would make some adjustments and try again. Maybe put the Speedi rack on the bottom so it's not as close to the fan! Take care!

I use the Foodi. Same bacon 400° 12 minutes on the af tray.

Not a fair test. In the speedi the rack should have been in the bottom. 390 is too high
For bacon it should have been lower.

I don't have a Speedi but I agree, I'd have probably put the crisper tray at the lower setting.

It looked like they would have been equal depth in the two air fryers, seems fair comparison to me.. wonder how they would have cooked in the bake mode?

i had mine on the bottom rack in the speedi and it came out fine and it states to use the bottom rack can't you follow instructions

I'm wondering how different they would turn out in the *bake* mode instead of AF?

I do mine in the microwave, 5-6 minutes, crunchy.

The bacon was to high in Speedi. I wish I had a pic of my breakfast this morning. Both eggs and bacon were perfect but I cooked the bacon on the bottom level. On steam and crisp...yum

Speedi is known to have a better air fry function than the foodi from what I understand, so it likely needed some adjustments in temp and time. The tray should be in the bottom when using the speedi air fry setting. I've made bacon on lower level in speedi and at lower temp and it's probably the best bacon I've ever had (way better than frying pan). I think you should do both devices a fairer judgment and follow the reccomended instructions for each. Viewers would like to know which actually makes better bacon at optimal settings rather than which cooks better at some randomly selected time and settings I'd imagine. Thanks for trying though. Cracked me up each time you opened the speedi and expressed surprise 😂

This is not really a test because the recommended air frying temperature for bacon in the Ninja Speedi is 330 degrees, so you haven't cooked the food as per the instructions.

In the Speedi you can turn temp and time down, clues in the title. You over did it with that bacon I have both and love the Speedi.

Go for the oven! 350 degrees, no preheat necessary. Parchment paper on top of bacon to avoid splatter and keep bacon from curling. 20 minutes, no flipping. PRESTO!

A smaller oven is cheaper to run.

I cook bacon in my Speedi all the time, never had it curl up.. Oh wait, I use thick cut bacon, cut in half, then cook the bacon for 8 to 9 minutes. I don't like crispy bacon. Crispy bacon 9 to 10 minutes
Plus like others have said rack down low. There's other times I just don't use the rack just cook it in its own grease, need less time

390 is too high. I have a 2 lid Ninja. I do bacon at 340-350.

Surprised??? Speedi baco is twice as close to the radiation!!! You don’t understand what is going on! Your question framework is rooted in ignorance!
