(I think) So technically if you left him alone while he's eating he'll just not eat, and I think he hasn't been eating for awhile so everyone was panicked that he didn't eat, I hope this helps a bit
Bc he has a eating disorder he has a hard time while eating which is why it's so important for someone to stay with the person while their eating and especially not upset them bc they won't eat and starve themselves bc of the eating disorder

Having an eatin disorder might make him think Todoroki can't stand the way he eat or just him eating, so it fucks up his whole recovery
