I always love AoS. Way cooler than 40k I find. Such flavor in the models and interactions
You know what, I agree, and here’s why….
No space marines… It’s as simple as that for me, if 40K gave as much love to xenos races and pushed them as much as they do SM then it would be far more interesting. AOS seems to give love to every faction and they all feel roughly on the same level.
I’ve played against every AOS faction at my LGS… I’ve been playing 40K for a few years and haven’t played some of the factions yet, bonkers

Yeah, and fun is always fun. I also like that Bard apparently didn't need an explanation. Chef said do the honors and he just got to it.

Today we learned that Bard has unresolved trauma from that time he was crushed by the three old ladies walking their dogs when he was on a stagdo. the flesh! the flesh envelops me! help....!?
What a fun battle report. I agree with Bard on this one. There is definitely something to that list. He just happened to go up against an army that had the ability to handle great unclean ones really well.
Bard and Beard are so hilarious together.
Saves of 4+. Gets told -1. Rolls 5s. "Didn't save any".
Or the ogor player, "you are -1 to hit?". Yes. Rolls attacks that hit on 4+. Rolls 3s. Declares them all hits.

Yay Ogors! This was one of my first AoS armies and I love them. So many great units! Great game with some fun units. I cannot wait to see what else gets added to the Mawpath!
Even though he killed that first Great Unclean One, you still need to do all the attacks, but he GUO could have given disease points on 6s to save.
It's not like it would have radically changed the game, but it's still a good habit to do (especially if you play with or against an army that does mortal wounds on a save of 6).
Sorry I'm a Nurgle noob and I have a GUO but yet to play my first game. So even if the first attack kills him they still do the rest of the attacks for the disease point on 6+ wards?
@@petewinfield1 all attacks happen at once, before rolling to save and then allocating any wounds suffered and then any mortal wounds per core rules. for the sake of moving the game along we all have a habit of doing one attack profile at a time. if that one attack kills the whole unit, the remaining attacks on the model just pretty much goes to waste, unless you declared you were splitting the remaining attack(s) between multiple unit(s).
The interaction sounded weird to me so I took a look at the rules for killing models and only excess DAMAGE is negated, not attacks. So your GUO gets slammed by a unit of Fulminators or something with multiple Attack profiles and wipes you out. Because you have an ability that triggers on a 6+ ward you can have the attacking unit do the rest of its attack profiles because it's possible they may still trigger your ability even tho you can't take more damage because you're already slain.

I really enjoy these AoS matches! As a long time 40k player I have never paid much attention to AoS before, but after watching enough I can safely say it looks like a much better, fun game!
Damage spilling over is so smooth, terrain adds immersion and setting rather than determining the outcome, and the wound system makes sure everything is viable!
Great game! Bard I don’t think you have yourself enough contagion points turn 3, you were in the enemy territory so should have got 10+D3 (if you had 3 trees).
I use a similar list which does really well at tournaments:
- 2 GUO with bells and flails
- Rotigus
- 3 units of plaguebearers for screens
- scrivener so you can complete GC objectives and give him the teleport enhancement because is always comes in handy!
- use the 3 GUO battalion to get the extra enhancement so you can get the 24’’ disease spell on one of your GUO’s
- 30 points spare for either an endless spell, try for a triumph or switch scrivener for bilepiper

interesting thrice list. with gallation Champs being a thing, I was thinking you could do Thrice B, with 3 plague bearers and a sloppity as well and make him a champ of some sort. I like the idea of beasts for speed at least.
Man those big Oggies hit hard, don't they? GUO's are no slouches either. I honestly didn't think it would turn out this way.
What models did you guys use to make the nurgle bases? All those muchrooms and flies look quite good
I had a look into the maggotkin battletome and I’m a bit confused about the 3 unclean ones. Rotigus us a Single, unique. But the unclean one is listed only as single. I thought single would be the factor to have only one of them in the field, but seeing this battle report, does it mean that the unique attribute is the factor that determines how many you are allowed to field?

Anyone else get disappointed when the Saturday freebies are not 40k?.. Don't get me wrong.. I think aos is great.. But I zone out of these videos quickly .. And TT videos are slipping down my recommendation list in CZcams a lot..
