Because they aren't interested in using a protest to cause unnecessary violence which is what a lot of Western society does, and is why protests largely go ignored in our side of the world. They love their country, and they have respect for where they live, which is why they are able to fight so accurately without senseless violence that doesn't serve to achieve their goal.
They have a very specific target, and that is to protect their freedom HK have had all these years. Going out to cause violence and looting would completely go against this goal and give China more reasons to go forwards, in addition to simply causing destruction to their home. The only destruction of property are the Cameras and Police equipment, which is assisting the oppression they are trying to avoid...no one is destroying shops or anything.

Apparently they learned their lesson and changed for the better. I was teaching in Guangzhou from 2009 to 2013, and frequently visited Hong Kong since it was only 2 hours bus ride. My experience was totally different, people would go out of their way to help with directions and polite. I feel their pain now 😞

Depends on how many protesters there are. For every possible opinion there is always some group in a society. You may see 1000 people protesting on the street which may seem like the entire city is going rampage, but if there are 50 million people in your city then that’s only 0.002% sharing that opinion. Also, this clip is very biassed towards supporting the protesters. If they filmed the documentary from the side of the government then all the viewers would be supporting the government at once… People watching these videos are letting them being dragged into the opinion of the filmer.

First, every death thus far has either been caused by the ‘protestors’ negligence, incompetence, or maliciousness
Second, the ‘protesters’ are beating up, attacking, and killing pro-Beijing CITIZENS
Third, the ‘protestors’ are destroying CIVILIAN property through the use of fire-bombing, cocktails, explosives, and more
      ----------------------
If you want to fight for your beliefs, go ahead, but these are in no way protests anymore
You lose your legitimacy as a ‘protest’ when you attack the civilians who aren’t fighting back
You lose your legitimacy as a ‘protest’ when you destroy the property of the civilians who don’t fight back
You lose your legitimacy as a ‘protest’ when you kill innocent civilians and get kids under 16 years affiliated with your violent ‘demonstrations’
      These are not righteous protestors
These are vicious and malicious rioters
If they wanted to fight for democracy so bad, they could hold demonstrations without ever raising a hand
That HAS been extremely effective throughout history
If they wanted to fight for democracy, they could appeal to America, the EU, the UN, Europe and more for help instead of attacking INNOCENT PEOPLE
If they never raised a hand, and the HK Police started attacking them, then other nations would step in
      China would lose face
However, they use explosives, they are using claymores, they are attacking and killing people
      This isn’t a demonstration
      This is an unorganized mob
      ----------------------
If they want democracy, they should earn it
If they wanted freedom, they should show they deserve it
Attacking innocents in any form is a heinous act of barbarism

Differences between the protesters in Hong Kong and USA:
The Hong Kong protesters are all anti-communism.
The Hong Kong protesters do NOT turn into looters and they only fight against the cops, not against the business owners.
Now the Hong Kong protesters are not allowed to protest even peacefully. They would be beaten and arrested even when they protest peacefully.
      The U S protesters are mostly pro-socialism or pro-communism.
Many US protesters have turned into looters who fight against the cops as well as the business owners.
The US protesters are allowed to protest peacefully. Only when they turn into looters and rioters do the police use non-lethal force to arrest them.

@@tinygoblinlvl.3151 Communist china are the rebels. Taiwan China fought japan during ww2 and freed the country before getting invaded by communists, a FOREIGN ideology from RUSSIA. Communist China only became recognized when OTHER countries decided to do so. But historical China (Taiwan) didn't stop to exist just because the communists rebels decided so from the THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SEA. If anything, Communist China is the illegitimate state, while Taiwan is old legitimate historical China: facts!

I don't support the protesters or the police, but let me say one thing: do you think the police beat up the protester for no reason, if you live in China or any SAR in China you would see the news papers of protesters biting the police's ears off, stabbing them and shooting them with arrows, what if you are put in that situation and have no chose? Would you fight for your lives? Remember, the police don't actually want to be there, they were told to, they fight for there lives to not get injured, they shot the protesters to protect the police that lives are at stake, I don't see why they claim the police of police brutality, when they are just fighting for their lives, honesty I think this has just gone too far, do you know how nervous the other city’s near Hong Kong feel, my mom the part of the Macau Customs and she told me every night after work, that they had to triple their regular security checks, and now have 24 hour shifts just to make sure that these things don’t spread all over China, think about it, so you want China to be covered by protesters that beat up innocent civilians that are pro Beijing didn’t want to be apart of this, having fun and regular lives affected because of a new law in Hong Kong that released a person from prison back to Hong Kong, do you want to know how it all turned into this? After that law, the Hong Kong protesters were asking for help from the UK to help them, but they didn’t, then they found out that democracy has good political freedom, so they change their plans to become a pro democracy protest and asked help from the US, they US show that and helped them because “all they want to be is to be democratic” so they helped and look that this big mess, just because of one STUPID law.
