This is a remarkable piece of music, performed expertly. It's the kind of funeral music mean't to remind those left behind that it's ok on the other side.
Kinda bold to write a "funèbre" concerto in major... But it works strangely well! The piece has a really melancholic yet hopeful feel to it. It's peaceful and calm but also vibrant and alive at times. It feels like ir encapsulates more the "acceptance" stage of grief than anything.
The first and introductive mvt is related to the little instrumental piece in the third act, scene 12, of "Tito Manlio", when Manlio is close to be executed.

This reminds me of New Orleans funeral marches. Sad and reflective at the beginning. Ending in triumphant joy.
Even in Concerto Funebre, Vivaldi's music is fun to listen to. 🎵

Professor Del Vivaldi told me that the 4th movement is related to the 3rd movement of RV123.
