The funniest part about rapids rides is how you're simultaneously befriending random strangers and praying they're unfortunate enough to get drenched instead of you edit: I went on this last week and I was the unfortunate one
haha i remember after one long day a mm my friends and i were exhausted and we got to this ride 5 mins before closing . the operator barely let us in. we went it was pitch black and we were all screaming so loud. i barely got wet at all but the floor was covered with 2 inches of water. very fun. 10/10 recommend
I love Roaring Rapids so much (water rides in general are awesome) but you get *really* wet on this one. On Tidal Wave you could not get a drop of water on you *or* get completely soaked, fully depending on where you sit. On Jet Stream you usually just get sprayed. You *may* get a splash on you, but most likely you won't get that wet. Which is nice because you can still ride it on chillier days, or in the late afternoon/evening without much concern! That's why they sometimes have Jet Stream open all year round. But yeah, save Roaring Rapids for earlier/midday, on one of those scorching hot Santa Clarita summer days! Because you are almost guaranteed to get *soaked* .
Just been to LA a few mths ago for a holiday. This ride was AWESOME! The only river rapids ride I have been on where you actually get this wet 😂 That was the best part 👌🏻 It was a hot day, so even though we were drenched, it was a good way to stand around and cool off
Whitewater Rampage featured a few exploding geysers of water mid-ride. The explosions have about 2 gallons or so of water in the air and when it drops - whoever gets hit by the water will get soaked for sure. One geyser almost made me get soaked. But they took out the exploding geysers when it was renamed Roaring Rapids.
Whether it is Roaring Rapids or Whitewater Rampage, whenever you are in the back and angry wave water comes towards your back side - GET READY TO GET WET!
This is a good family water ride. My socks got absolutely soaked so it did what it was supposed to. But it also gave me a rash, which was not fun at all. My one complaint about this ride was how rough it was, it rammed my sides into the seat every time it hit a wall. *5/10*

I went on this when I was a little kid it was so much fun. I wish I wasn't a baby and went on coasters then but I was to scared. My buddy got my on Raging Bull(6 Flags in IL) and that was my first roller coaster, after that pretty much vertcal drop I wasn't scared of any coaster ever again.
This ride needs a refurb, and retheming so bad. I think the river needs to be thinned out a bit. Way too many times when the raft is just drifting around aimlessly in a couple sections.
