Erik ten Hag is the new manager of Manchester United, and with him comes a defined playing identity. Man United could improve in all areas of the pitch, but having missed out on Champions League football may not be able to attract the very best. So Tifo have suggested some Sensible Transfers for United.

I find it odd that United are often (supposedly) considering bringing in players like Gusto who has proved himself and is aged 19. Whereas Laird is considered too young at 20. Similar with Gailbraith 21, Garner 21, Levitt 21 and Hannibal 19

    • @samotian0331

I think Uniteds issue is linked to lack of first team experience rather than literal age. Gusto is a proven player in first team European football compared to the youth academy players, and could flourish in Utd's team almost immediately. He is more mature in terms of footballing ability, at a younger age, like for example, Bellingham is, whereas the youth at UTD have a lot of development to still undergo

My sensible is Casemiro. RM is focusing younger core. Casemiro didnt have huge role under Ancelotti. Altho Frimpong is exciting prospect, I wonder if they really need to sign him. Wan-Bissaka was praised of his defence before having a bad season. TH prefers building risks with CB, RB/LB often playing more fullback defensive role. I see Memphis Depay as more sensible. Barcelona only asking 25m~. He can play multiple position. Had huge success after switching to more CF role at Lyon and was one considered top 20 winger before his injury season. Also to mention, striker been fire at International stage. Matured striker deserves a second chance at united.

Ten Hag always has a left footed RW player his strategy/tactics are similiar to to a hybrid of Klopp/Pep, the RW player needs to start out wide then push inside. Out wide the left footed player can disguise an early crossed ball and when the left footed player cuts inside they can shoot near-post or far or even pass the ball short so this has the keeper/defender always guessing like Mahrez/Salah/Ziyech/Anthony/Rapinha/Saka/Bowen basically all the good teams in premier league have adopted this style.

what i don't like about having such wonderful content creators like you, is that the more sensible it seems, the more likely Man Utd will NOT go for these players.
However, with Malacia due to sign, we may have turned a corner.
Frankly just going for free transfer or one year left players alone, we can save LOADS of money and still significantly improve on the squad.
Gnabry, Frimpong/Dumfries, Tielemans, Benoît Badiashile, Florian Grillitsch, Djed Spence, etc, will already boost the squad.
Dare say even Ousame Dembele will be an upgrade, BUT i personally don't want such high wages players who may not be reliable with lack of defensive pressing and injury issues.
