    Removing the positive cable is unreasonably difficult

    That's why we must use AGM battery for safety reason. People next to it and the HV battery too.

    Know it's an old vid/post so long shot, never had to charge a battery before so "as usual" is not helpful. Is there a video of how to do the whole removal, charge setup & restore into position of the Yaris battery? Been searching through the random stack of vids that YT gives me & losing thew will to live. Thanks 👍

    What is the purpose of the little rubber tube next to the red battery wire?

    • @sutsi
      @sutsi  Před 2 lety +2

      That is the battery vent tube. Where any excess gas causes by the lead acid in the battery go out. It's especially important for when batteries are in the boot. There are some batteries that are fully sealed and don't have this vent hole. So best to check the spec of the battery you choose.

    Do you know where the orange connector goes for the high voltage battery goes?

    • @sutsi
      @sutsi  Před rokem

      The orange hybrid cut off plug should be either visible once you lift seat base or in the boot, lift the boot cover and at the bottom where the rear seats meet you should spot the orange cut off plug

    Why don't you show the seat removal? Is it a secret procedure? Or just pull very(!) hard?

    • @sutsi
      @sutsi  Před rokem +1

      I just wanted to keep it short...but yes it's a case of giving the seat base a good pull.

      @@sutsi thanks, true, it feels like it will break but comes loose then.
      Some (plastic safe) lubricant helps for the future...

      How to close the seat? I have to pull down it very hard?

    Where is the main traction battery located?

    • @sutsi
      @sutsi  Před rokem +1

      The hybrid battery is located under the passenger bench seat...if you fully lift it ...you'll see a aluminium box with high voltage warning signs informing you it's the hybrid battery pack.

    Hi, is the new battery come with this plastic cover as shown on your video?

    • @sutsi
      @sutsi  Před 2 lety

      Are you referring to the red positive terminal plastic cover?.....if so...then no..it's attached to the positive terminal itself not to the battery. If you wanted that cover, you buy separately from Toyota or on eBay

      @@sutsi hi, thank you so much for the reply but I’m referring to the white plastic cover that the battery is covered. Yesterday from Toyota replaced my battery but the old one is removed with this plastic cover on it. So I’m not if they have put the new battery with new plastic cover. Thank you

      @sutsi  Před 2 lety +1

      @@zorifr06 I'm afraid the only way to check is to lift the seat base and see. I suspect what they've done is that it may have broken or something like that and theyve replaced it with new one. But like I say only way is to lift seat and find out.
