How to set brushes correctly on a Ford 8N starter.

I needed a tip for getting those tricky springs on after the brushes and armature are in. It's difficult to Reassemble this thing.

I would rather have the copper strip directly to the nut for conductance purpose. Not have to pass through the washer to get there and no crack in the washer to allow corrosion. Just my personal preference.
