Those roadworks as you came into Dundee are ongoing until May 2025 for upgrading the junction. They are making the junction traffic light controlled.
Eio Barry lad! Finally managed to see you out on the road yesterday coming back down through my old stomping ground Dundee. Love the videos mate, you're on of the reasons for getting my Class 1. All the best man and hope to meet in the passing again
What a lovely lorry driver, I've been watching your videos for ages, I love watching you, a very good driver, keep up the good work 🏴👍
Hello from Highland Perthshire.
In Scotland there are many common place name prefixes. "Kin..." Usually denotes "At the head of" or "At the end of..". E.g. Kinlochleven is at the end of Loch Leven. Sometime the part after the suffix will relate to an old gaelic word.
Other common suffixes in Scotland are Dun... (Meaning Fort). So Dundee was from Dun Dée which was an old gaelic word for the Tay. Fort of the Tay which is the river at Dundee. Dunkeld was Fort of Celts. Etc...
Aber... Means "on" or "next to".
And Inver... Means "at the mouth of..." (Usually a river.
"Muir" in a name is "field". Or "moor".
So to make up a name, a town called Abermuir would essentially mean a town next to a moor.
the water on the road past Morrisons is due to a blocked drain, the water colllects there when it rains
Great bit of piloting there Barry.
great driving Barry singing 6 out of ten ha ha love your vids
😂😂😂😂. I taught Shirley Bassey everything she knows about stage presence
Kings thorn was the crowning place of Scottish kings,I don't half do some googling for you Lanky.❤😂
"Go round the roundabout, first exit.." lol
Why was that camper van even parked in the truck parking area? 🤔
Lovin your videos barry lad 😊
Remembering the old skool 2100 and 2500 etc DAFs the dashboard was basically a scaffold plank with the appropriate clocks and dials on it with a spindly gearstick for the 2100's and slightly thicker one with a range switch for the 2500 plus. Aye wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding! :)
That was me Barry lad your old mate Derek peeping at you pal
Aye !
@@ChattingWithMeHGV you look good in red pal
I told the wife there will be a big video following the tight reverse, can read you, stay safe Lanky ❤
I was in one of our 19 plate Daf 480's When it was my turn to back in, it wouldn't start, got stuck in gear or clutch engaged or something, kept coming up with transmission fault warnings, got on the blower to get spanners out, managed to start it in the meantime but when actually in reverse gear she was bucking like a bronco on kangeroo juice! Lord knows how I didn't smack into anything as it was tight reverse between two bollards at an angle with cars at the front etc. ! When spanners got here he traced it through the computer whatsit as a faulty wire connection to do with the clutch or something! Anyway no harm done all was well in the end!
Such narrow and stngy spaces they provide! Charging 20-30 pound a night through snap, daylight and night time robbery! Good bit of driving getting out! :)
Great video barry lad
49:08 bill plant was the one that taught me and I passed first time and I am disabled
What's wrong with the south of Scotland ?.Only giving you 9/10 for this one 😂
