    Thank you “Uncle” Jed. You are the FIRST Utube RT reviewer to give this information. Let’s see more of you riding the RT around the suburbs of LA. Ride safe.

    Getting used to all the ride settings and options can be a pain but is worth it in the end. Stay safe on the road riders 👍

    I had the software update on my 2021rt and the favorites buttons are now programmable.I see you had the no4 button set as pure ride,you only have to hold the menu up button and it always returns to pure ride.Also if you hold the menu button down it returns to the previous menu.Cheers

    Hey Jed….love the channel. What does pure ride setting do?

      Sounds as though it could be something poetic, but, alas, it’s only a screen setting that removes ancillary data from the TFT (e.g., trip computer, navigation) in favor of a wide display of the tach, speedo and gear indicator across the entirety of the TFT). I think! 😂

    Thanks Jed for your clear and concise video. I'm still hoping that when I pick up my bike from winter storage the newest firmware version will include programmable buttons for my model year 21 RT, but if not, then I'll just have to make do. Oh well, it's not the end of the world.

    How it’s going with the mobile phone charging

    • @TheJedRides
      @TheJedRides  Před 2 lety +1

      All good. It turned out that the case (made by a company called "Mous") was causing the trouble. It was a great case to protect the phone from damage, but it was interfering with the charging. I switched cased with my wife, who had a much "flimsier" case, and hers does not interfere with the charging.

    Great segment, thanks!
    I'll be getting a firmware update on my 2021 R1250RT soon, and hope this favourite function is finally there. What is the purpose of a favourite that is hard coded and not really your favourite, LOL

    Nice. Much easier than working the menus on the TFT. What are you doing for a battery tender? The Optimate brand seems popular.

    • @TheJedRides
      @TheJedRides  Před 2 lety +1

      I have used the Optimate 3 for several years and it has worked well for me.

    You can only assign favorite buttons model year 22. The 21 doesn’t have that option. see on the road
