Join me for a camp in one of the best spots in all of Scotland Music used (CZcams audio library) - Stillness by Futuremono A Quiet Thought by Wayne Jones Eternal Garden by Dan Henig
I've just come across your CZcams Channel because this Glencoe adventure caught my eye. It's strange watching this in my Glasgow flat but great to be transported back to one of my favourite places in Scotland. Always inspiring to see a young guy like yourself enjoying the outdoors and taking its challenges in your stride and you've shown the area and stunning views off magnificently. Sadly, it's been many years since my mountaineering days but I still get up to Glencoe now and then and do some low level walking. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work.
You've reminded me of my very first camping trip, which was on the opposite side of the river to Lagangarbh Hut, down in the bottom of the valley, there. I was ten, and sharing a tent with my 20 year old uncle; the others occupied by my 29 year old uncle and his wife - who had arranged the trip; and my parents - who joined us at the weekend. Just a wee bit of flat grass next to the river, which had stepping stones across it to reach the hut - round of the back of which had been designated our toilet area; and we were posh campers indeed, travelling in my older uncle's 1960s Jaguar, with its curved wings, comfortable leather seats and period wooden dashboard! My first visits to Fort William - via Kinlochleven because the Ballachulish Bridge was only half-built at the time; Oban (in heavy rain with no view - not even of Kerrera) ; Ben Cruachan Power Station; a swim in the freezing River Coupall and a walk from Kingshouse to Blackwater Reservoir, all occurredon that trip. And we were driven out by quantities of midges that I'm pleased to say I've never seen again since - there was a solid coat of them an inch thick, covering absolutely everything. It was like a Stephen King novel! (Mind you, I had a delayed reaction to them and got a fortnight off school five weeks later, so it wasn't all bad!!) So, I totally get why you're so fond of that much loftier view. Thanks for the memory.
We are planning our Jan 2026 trip and you are my new favourite YT channel - thank you from the depth of my Heart and Soul, Love and Appreciation from central Queensland, Australia ❤ 🇦🇺 👌
Great vid and channel. I get he likes pot noodle and haribo, but I wish he'd give himself something more rewarding like a grass fed sirloin with a little army bbq or something.. noodles good for carbs I guess, but man what a place to have some worthy heavenly food after a trek.
Funny, just did the WHW this end of april. This place really felt special. Def need to cartrip Scotland to be able to do those sorts of Camps :) Nice video again. Atb, Sam.
Stunning views, stunning narration and stunning music. Thank you for this journey. Currently ordering in new gear for some trips I want to do in winter. Will be taking the car and would be grateful of any recommendations that are short walks from the car.
Yeh this one’s great and a rlly short walk from the car. The hidden valley another rlly good one that’s not too far. You could also take the ski lift, great views up there and not much effort involved 😂😂
@@ScottishSummiteer many thanks for taking the time out to reply. Decided the tent I want is the naturehike cloud peak. Just waiting on a couple of stents to go in and I'll be good as new and excited to get out there. Thanks for the inspiration.
