Thankfully, Street has matured and learned a lot since then. By the time he was able to rejoin S.W.A.T., he was aware of the kind of person his mother really was. And he understood what it really means to be a part of S.W.A.T. What it really means to be a part of a family. Street went through a lot of character growth. When Zoe Powell joined S.W.A.T., she reminded him of what he was like at the beginning.
This was the reason for watching the show. Emotion, Intensity, Honesty
It wasn't an easy decision for Hondo doing this, but it had to be done.
The way Hondo turns and walks back to street reminds me of every parent whose kid back talks them.
1:05 Lucky for Street, Hondo's giving him a chance to prove himself.
He didn't say anything about Deacon taking dirty money from a loan shark and doing favors for that loan shark. Hondo can be a little self righteous at times.

@@giannimolluso5846 I was referring to Deacon doing favors for the loan shark, he did that midway through season two and street got kicked off at the end of season one. Though, it’s my fault for not being more specific, sorry.

Hondo did the right thing kicking him off. If you wanna run to your moms aid every-time she calls you which she’s just wasting your time anyway and just leave your team high and dry go right ahead. He pissed me off when he said “I thought we were friends” to Chris. Like don’t question our friendship just because you wanted me to lie for you
@alahshattuck9144:it’s not streets fault though that his mom keeps calling him when he’s at work though that’s on his mom for using her own son like her own personal little puppet by lying to her own son in the first place,street would just be thinking his mom actually Needed his help ,his mom is the one with a problem. Street wouldn’t know he was being used by his mom right away. Plus his mom is also a frickening drug addict it’s gonna be so easy for street to mention his mom to other people. But honestly street leaving is more on his mom for calling him when he’s at work his mom picks a bad time to call her own son

Plus he wouldn’t know if his mom was being serious or not unless he checked up on his mom himself. Yes he shouldn’t have lied but his mom is also a drug addict for crying out loud
It's more like this, Street should have just came clean about his mom needing help. It's one thing to lie and leave the team high and dry. However, it's another if you come clean to your CO about it from the start. What Streets did, he broke trust by lying about what was going on.
Street talking about family? That's rich since he wasn't there for his team.

I didn’t know Street was in the show. Different feel from the 2004 film, but the names are still there!
Hondo made the right choice. This was crucial for Streets amazing character development. He better be back in season 8.

there are some seriously AWESOME actors, and actresses on this show, it is just poorly written. Hopefully it will get some better writers soon.

A Sargent wouldn't have the authority to do this.
Not officially. But a SWAT team leader has tremendous influence
with the commanding officer regarding the fitness of one of his team members.
The SWAT CO could transfer a guy
on his own authority.. It would be up to the Police Chief and a board of rights to dismiss an Officer from the force. But that would require the filing of charges of violating policies or the laws.
