- SOLD I do not like electric cars. This is not a secret. I do not even like little cars, unless they're built along the lines of Colin Chapman's Lotus philosophy - "simplify, then add lightness."
There is nothing simple about this BMW i3, a car that is definitely not built with a customer like me in mind. Words like "sustainability," "fairly sourced," "zero emissions" and the like carry no weight with me, as I see them as a corpo-hoax designed to make people feel better about themselves while making no real positive impact on anything.
I am hoping, praying, that electric cars are not the future. There is a grace, beauty, and loveliness to the internal combustion engine, and an inherent "aliveness" to cars that run on dinosaur fuel. Give me the loping idle of a cammed up big block Chevy or the sweet Italian song of a Ferrari V12 over the whirring and whining of a glorified, gussied up golf cart.
So anyway, there it is. Sorry for the angry review, but it was just one of those mornings, coupled to a car I just don't like or appreciate. - Auta a dopravní prostředky

After watching a ton of these videos, this one moved me to comment. Wow! Just wow! This car is truly an insult to consumers. At this price, an EV with 80 miles of range??! It truly deserves every minute of your screed, regardless of one’s feelings about EVs in general. Before you do the next one, take a good rest with plenty of bourbon or scotch. You’ve completely discharged your batteries, and you’ll need a good recharge to get going into this fine form again.

I just bought a 2016 REX for dirt cheap a couple months ago and so far I love it. Fast, innovative and carefully designed interior, handles on rails, hardly ever use gas. I also thought this review was HILARIOUS and am sad that most of the people commenting missed how tongue in cheek it is. I woulda figured the “no gun storage for rear passengers” would be a dead giveaway. Signed, 35 y/o white liberal soyboy, Dallas TX.

I live in Portland, Oregon, a city of electric cars, and this model of BMW electric car is driven by people whom you so aptly describe. I'm laughing my tail off. Yep! Should you see some guy out and around with a man bun, wearing clogs, carrying his kid in a baby sack, and has a fanny pack, be nice to him because he's a potential customer for this car.
So much cars you can buy for 50 grand and this is what they get lmfao.

My mum had one of these. It made my little sister cry to look at it. The most hideous vehicle I've ever seen and it makes small children cry. It lasted about a month before it was gone. An awful car.

You definitely need to review that 95/96 Fleetwood. The LT1 puts the Ford 4.6 to shame, and really gets overshadowed by the town car. They only sold 90000 of those Fleetwoods. Yes it's not as iconic as the previous gen brougham, but it moved away from the gaudy 80s styling cues into a more modest design like most 90s cars. When you compare the pre facelift 90s town car to it, they are clearly targeting the same person, all the design choices are very similar.
Modulars are night and day to the crappy LT1 with 1977 ignition system and water pump bath distributor.
Ridiculous they canceled the show Cops you can’t stereotype everyone for a few being bad. This is unusual for you to be reviewing a car without fossil fuel ⛽️ Yes I don’t like the electric car either many are very self righteous thinking they are so great. The work it takes to make an electric car from the mining involved to get the materials for the battery has the same environmental impact as fossil fuel cars. Plus what about the price of electricity when everyone starts using it? It’s not safe it makes no noise and blind people rely on sound when crossing the street and we are all accustom to hearing sounds of vehicles to alert us. I’m with you Bill I don’t like the electric.

Ok ok, I don't like electric cars but this one is very well finished. They sold it in Europe at a good 40.000 USD and you see it regularly. Inside good seat position, all ecological composites in dash and seats. Broad overview on the street situation. Spacious inside. Smooth driver on 18'' wheels. Nice BMW colour scheme.. Limited range but is meant as a city car. Exists with a range extender 95 REX. It comes to this that if riding around in a city you'll never get stuck due to flat battery. I can't help it, I like it. Nice BMW for smart buyers.
I would say the reviewer is just too, too old and crusty to actually think clearly. He sounds like a guy that would do well in the early 20th century, before all this tech began to remodel the world. What a mental state to have to live with.

Maybe it will be good in a drag race, but there's no overcoming the physics of all that weight when it comes to handling and maneuverability.

My first car was a ford, then I drove the same chevy for 13 years, I was prepared to buy another chevy. But I test drove an i3, and I felt that acceleration and I was hooked. I found a used one, and purchased it shortly there after.
