Piped Up a hit is what the media and radio station pushes and that shits garbage. if it came down to a real hip hop battle. mainstream vs underground. underground will dominate these trash ass "rappers"
Piped Up they play the songs j cole doesn't go in on lyrically. Cole, Kendrick, and others have even said they have to dumb their music down just for it to get played on the radio.
+gulyas Devin Have you seen his videos he shared on his IG where he's actually spitting, no mumbling, no autotune, and he's doing it over an old school NY sound type beat. Give these young guys a chance to grow. Music is music, if its good then its good if its bad then its bad. Lil Yatchy is trash but i Uzi still has a chance to grow.
i respect yachty n uzi for being good entertainers n good at marketing. but thats all they are. they know what kids want to hear n see, so they deliver what the kids want. they know how to market and make money.
Dustin Murray That's why they always point out niggas hating. Nobody forcing them to listen to Uzi or yachty. Same ppl that hate on them. Don't even support their favorite artist
Dustin Murray Uzi and Yachty don't even sound like Wayne. Wayne got influence on niggas like Thug, but Uzi created his own flow. Uzi singing def got those vintage rock vibes, see Paradise. Yachty def influenced by Soulja and Lil B and Gucci. What wayne song sound like yachty? Yachty whole autotune singing, happy hip hop aint something wayne can do. I def see Wayne in all these niggas, but they signature sound is something wayne cant do bro
If you had a brain you'd understand how each song on that album had a concept. The fucking name of the song is "titty and dolla" rapping from a perspective about someone who only cares about material things. Kendrick has music like that, where songs and albums have concepts. Look at each song on Isaiahs album, it all ties into a bigger theme. His music ison another level, shit flys over your head dumbass LOL
DomRamzes Why you gotta be so angry? I love the suns tirade but it's not like I listen to every song and sit and analyze the lyrics. I listen to music cuz it sounds good and analyzing doesn't really do anything for me. But none the less, cool concept. I bet Isaiah still bumps Yachtys music though lol
Really pisses me off when people feel the need to say how much they hate Uzi and Desiigner and Yatchy and whoever. The internet or rather the social media age is largely dominated by youth. A large percentage of the youth who are for the most part, very simple minded or surface level aren't going to listen to Common or Tribe unless Metro Boomin or Maaly Raw is producing it. They want something catchy and fun. Motherfuckers acting like they've never been 15 blasting fucking Laffy Taffy and Crank Dat
i see what your saying but... you gotta understand fam.. its ruining the youths mind.. and making them more violent.. its deeper than lyrics.. its culture.. but like like i said i get you
I really hate that they try to label all the new artists as yachty or uzi. I also hate the idea of challenging those rappers to step their bars up, while a lot of these lyricists make trash music. challenge those niggas to make better songs.
D Miles totally agree, they never mention Dave East, Vince staples or Earl. Those are young and talented fucking rappers too why they focusing on uzi and boat ?!
I think it's mostly because Uzi and Yachty both started and got popular in the past year (+a few months), whereas people like Earl have been making music with relative success for quite a few years now. At least that's my understanding of why they're so hated, most people don't present very well-reasoned arguments though so it's kind hard to tell for sure.
Moises Maldonado I have heard it. I thought I would be disappointed with FLYTRAP because of the trap beats but I feel like it's pretty good. I just don't understand why he changed his rap style so much. IMO it's weird to see Pro Era going Trap
Jake Pughh Lyrically he's up there with Kendrick. I think Kendrick is a step above them but then Ab, Jay and Q are at the same level. I like Jay Rock more than Q but I don't like to compare these gods.
I was at the Smoker's Club Tour in Philly with him, PE, Chevy, and UA whom performed their indigoism tape. Seeing them all together instilled some serious hope for the future, and here we are now. Soulo came out on stage like black einstein holding the same composure and discrete sense of confidence as this interview. After listening to LT and LT2, the man been thru some shit. It is damn nice to see that an artist has control of not only his emotions but also the ability to emit positive energy thru his music and make a connection with some abstract mindsets.. f a grammy this album gonna be significant.
Ab- Soul vs Daylyt = Epic as shit ... what rapper you know will risk battle rapping ( especially in this day and age against a top 5 battle emcee like Daylyt ) and then put it on his / her album 😎😁👳💪
Why they gotta ask every damn body about Uzi and Yachty? Shit is fucking annoying, y'all complain about how wack they are but yet can't seem to stop talking about them
IAM BRIDGEFORTH... do what tho wilt means follow your own true will. It's from the thelema ideology of aleister Crowley. It has nothing to do with satanism or evil spirits. It's a philosophy
Personally I didn't like these days but I liked the concept behind the album. Hopefully this album will be just as dope as Control System and his mixtapes were. But he gone have to wait since Cole dropping Friday too.
i feel like the whole TDE crew has compromised in some ways... ya know? for popularity and fame? his music will be a lot darker now then it was in the past
How do you feel they've compromised? Sincerely. Where do you feel that you've felt that? Also, Abs Control System project had a lot of mysticism and broad thought technologies at work, so it's cool to see him getting back to that area.
QUESTION FOR ALL HIP HOP HEADS: How important is it to study your history? I feel like it's important if you care about incorporating what came before you in your music. But honestly, The Game, 50 Cent, Kanye West, etc are what influenced a lot of people my age or other millennials. It's going to come a time when no one is studying what we call the G.O.A.T.s that started in the 90's. Is that really such a bad thing?
I would consider myself a hip hop head, yet I only focus on modern rappers. I have a basic understanding of oldschool hip hop but I dont really enjoy the sound of it. In all honesty I dont believe you have to incorporate the past at all if you dont enjoy it, so I choose to only explore the present. I didnt grow up around nas, pac and biggie, so they didnt impact me, but im fine with that. It all depends on your personal preferences but personally I dont think that we need to be studying the GOATS of the past, and I dont think its a bad thing either.
Bruh™ That's wassup, I just had to make sure i wasn't the only one. Of course I respect their legacy put niggas can't keep giving niggas flack because they don't know one Pac song or forgot Biggie lyrics. Those times have past. You make music though?
***** Exactly, you can still be a hip hop head but not have extensive knowledge on the past. And nah I dont make music, but I am very passionate about Rap. How bout you, do you make music?
Bruh™ Yeah I rap and sing, it's my passion man. There's nothing else I know how to do except that. I would be working diligently now but due to some unfortunate events I'm on a pause.
Dame Aluko "Easily Eazy-E without the Jerry Curl juice. Off that drink that make u think every girl cute. Mark of the beast on me him her and you. Money in the safe in case there's a lawsuit cause any lumberjack wood say they saw you" - Ab-Soul, in his verse on Twista's 3rd Eye track.
precisely.. Satan doesnt exist.. its not even biblical or ancient texts... in Ancient african spirituality theres only light vs. dark energy.. or ego.. white folk religion gave you satan to control
Dominos Writer boy GTFO there's a whole book on dude.. you're spreading misinformation. nigga fucked kids, men and women. was into the dark arts and everything, he referred to his self as the BEAST. better go read a dam book or something. you and all the people who liked your comment because it sounded good lol do your own RESEARCH people.
KRS ONE is a Hip Hop legend...NOBODY ever dared to battle him, and if you was garbage on the mic he would beat you down ON STAGE. Highly regarded as one of(if not THE)best MC ever.
You might not be feeling his recent work, but lyrically, he is above most in the game now...
Piped Up a hit is what the media and radio station pushes and that shits garbage. if it came down to a real hip hop battle. mainstream vs underground. underground will dominate these trash ass "rappers"
Piped Up man there are plenty songs like that but all they play on the radio is ooo, yah and dab
Piped Up they play the songs j cole doesn't go in on lyrically. Cole, Kendrick, and others have even said they have to dumb their music down just for it to get played on the radio.
Piped Up then he'll be selling out. and making something he doesn't even like

If you had a brain you'd understand how each song on that album had a concept. Really pisses me off when people feel the need to say how much they hate Uzi and Desiigner and Yatchy and whoever. The internet or rather the social media age is largely dominated by youth. Would be sick if Joey and Soulo collab on Joey's album. Shit would be straight fire
Definitely. Have you heard "Enter the Void"? That was one of my favorite songs back in like tenth and eleventh grade. "Nibiru" also.
RapMaster RAW I heard that there is little features on AABA ....you heard fly trap yet it's fire
Moises Maldonado I have heard it. I thought I would be disappointed with FLYTRAP because of the trap beats but I feel like it's pretty good. I just don't understand why he changed his rap style so much. IMO it's weird to see Pro Era going Trap
