NEXT PROJECT: building a roof over this 20' shipping container to support our off grid solar system, store tools, stack wood for our wood burning stove, and collect rainwater for our cabin.
Buying an excavator with NO EXPERIENCE was a gamble, but we felt it was the best way to make big progress here on our mountainous, heavily overgrown, and unmanaged hunting property. With another baby on the way, we've changed our plans & are building off grid cabin number 2. This cabin will be big enough for us to have live in for years to come, with beds for guests, solar, and a real septic tank (no more composting toilet).

It’s a good thing you are strong as about three men. Take care of your back!!!!😢
Can't wait to see the next steps on this amazing journey you guys are on! Love that the container is up and mounted and looking forward to the content to come. Keep up the great work y'all!
Thank you for the video have a good day Mike
Awesome job guys!!!!! Sure do miss ya!!❤❤
You both are doing great.
Woody and Megan you both are so great together 💝 I know Megan your hands on (tough little lady) be patient all in due time, before you know it you’ll have your boys out there helping you guys out 👍🏽👏🏽 your doing a terrific job, Dave is lucky to have found you 🤭 many blessing beautiful family 💗
Woody, that dog sure loves you! Pay him lots of attention.
From someone who has done a lot of cutting with a gas axe, you did a fine job mate.
Looking good, I'd like to still be that steady with a torch😁
Your one hard working guy 😅❤
Great progress 👏! 😊
Thank you!! This project is taking a ton of fiddling around, but it’s in a permanent direction. Excited to have some shade out there finally! 🙌
White type font on black background is best for me.
Great job guys. Looks like it went relatively smooth. Didn't hear any "BLEEPS" on the video so I'm guessing the cussing was minimal. Looking forward to the next video. Stay safe.
HA! yeah this was a good (short) week, im sure once the welding starts the language will return to its usual spiciness now and again.
Great job cutting with torch Woody
Thank you! It was way easier than using the plasma cutter, this is much more forgiving.
Looking good Woody and Megan make sure to get them water break's in and don't over heat 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Reminder! We’re in the live chat every Friday as our videos premiere! Would love to see you there ❤
Love your videos. Placing white fonts on white or same color background make it very hard to read, Change the font color to a different color than the background.
You might want to avoid lifting on the drive motor ends of your excavator, you can mess up the drive motors doing that.
Ever seen a lightning strike explode concrete? I would sink a ground rod near each column and bond all 4 corners of the container.
And I am impressed by your innovative approach to transforming a simple shipping container into a functional living space. Your meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail in Part 2 of the build showcase your creativity and skill. You're turning dreams into reality, inspiring others with each step. And I am Floating Village Life
Great job in the Ex Megan!!! Every step is another step toward the goal!! Great progress, fun watch!!
👍
Awesome job 🎉
Just wanted to know why didn’t you dig down and level the ground so your front of the container isn’t so high.
We suspect It would cause a lot of water issues on the road and make the container area the lowest point. We plan on having a lot of tools under the overhang and didn’t want water collecting there
CZcams is pulling their shit again. Unsubscribed me from your channel. Has been happening for a while on several channels.
That’s so frustrating! We have no way of knowing it’s happening either 😩
@woodysbarndominium I know, I sub to a bunch of homestead channels from Arkansas and it has been happening with them too. Tell your subscribers to check theirs in your next video. No telling how many you have lost. No worries here because I check every time. Love yall 💓
fyi I notice what look like the concrete pillers moving while pushing on the container not second guessing you just don’t want someone getting hurt
