Getting There
Our trip to Bawali Farmhouse began with a scenic drive from Kolkata. The excitement was in the air as we packed our bags and set off early in the morning. The route took us through lush green fields and quaint villages, offering glimpses of rural Bengal. As we approached Bawali, the landscape became even more picturesque, setting the perfect tone for our countryside getaway.
Accommodation
Bawali Farmhouse welcomed us with its charming rustic ambiance. The farmhouse is a beautiful blend of traditional and modern architecture, surrounded by sprawling gardens and serene ponds. Our accommodation was a cozy cottage with vintage decor, comfortable beds, and a veranda overlooking the lush greenery. The peaceful environment immediately made us feel at home.
Exploring the Farmhouse Grounds
We spent our first day exploring the farmhouse grounds. The kids had a great time running around the gardens, playing on the swings, and discovering various plants and flowers. We took a leisurely stroll around the property, enjoying the fresh air and the sounds of nature. The ponds, with their lotus flowers and chirping birds, were particularly enchanting.
Nature Walks and Bird Watching
One of the highlights of our stay was the guided nature walk. We ventured into the nearby forest, accompanied by a knowledgeable guide who pointed out different species of birds, insects, and plants. The walk was both educational and refreshing, as we learned about the local ecosystem and enjoyed the serene surroundings. Bird watching was a treat, with sightings of kingfishers, woodpeckers, and other exotic birds.
