What did you think? Or could it be something else? Let me know!

Or Qimir is Plagueis' apprentice (Plagueis is a Muun, not a human, which makes him even more menacing).
From a trailer we see another flashback where Sol and Tobin are fighting Kelnacca. In the first episode, we see Master Indara say that she encountered a non-registered Force User while in Episode 4, there are two important moments. First, they suspect a split "faction" of Force Users and second not even the Jedi know what truly happened to Brendok. Vernestra clearly suspects Sol. The way I see it, they will all die by the end of the series and the Jedi will blame it on those four jedi while Plagueis (or whoever is behind Qimir) or Qimir himself will continue his plan.

There is also a “tip of the hat” to “Darth Jar Jar” in one of the Marvel Star Wars comics as well

I heard somewhere that Plagius had a few people he was thinking about training to be his apprentice, including palpatine, maybe qimir is one of these people

The problem with these theories go under the illusion that Disney is capable of giving a decent plot. But looking at what they did with the sequal trilogy and other material, it probably wont be well thought out at all and just met ending. They could have made Snoke Plagueis, somehow cheating death, tricking Palps and utilising Luke better to help deal with this threat but they didn't they instead gave us a mess and a clone... I hope I'm wrong here. It would be nice to see them do something smart

if this is a joke lol, if not no plaguis does not fit this guy, plaguis would be hiding from the jedi not going on a murderous rampage

The answer may be related to the Knights of Ren. Neither Jedi or Sith.
