Sounds like thereâs a lot of great reasons to move to Charleston!
There sure are!!
Not really. Housing is expensive, crime is high and there is nothing to do unless you are an alcoholic.
i really wanted to love this place. i stayed for a week and was honestly very disappointed. very big homeless problem, and definitely wouldnât feel safe walking the streets at night. some parts are run down, dirty, and if you make one wrong turn youâll end up in a bad area. outside of king street and the battery it feels like ur average poor neighborhood. the history is interesting, and its nice to be close to beaches, but definitely not enough for me to come back
I'm so sorry to hear that you had that experience. I'm not sure when you visited, but I do know that there are constant efforts to improve the safety and charm of the downtown Charleston area. Looking at recent history in five year increments, we've seen substantial progress with regard to this and anticipate continued evolution and expansion.
Charleston and Savannah are the San Francisco of the south east in a way, ppl will move to Charleston to literally be homeless but we also have pretty strong safety nets and support for the homeless for the south. Also poor neighborhoods? You mean real life Americans living in historic city blocks? Welcome to the real world I guess.
@@smoaky123 mad for sharing my opinion? Charlestonâs definitely not for everyone. historyâs interesting, just doesnât feel safe to me. I found Savanah much nicer. and yes, some of the streets of Charleston are comparable to âpoorâ neighborhoods where iâm from.
exactly, crime is high and homelessnes continues to grow. Do not let the CZcams real estate agents fool you.
No doubt. Charleston is a shithole. Too bad that 80'a TV movie "Special Bulletin" wasn't reality.
I just came back from Charleston from New York and I definitely want to move here.
Thatâs great! Iâm glad you loved Charleston. If you have any questions about housing Iâm happy to help.
I love going to Sthigray games.
Historical downtown is a huge magnet đ
For sure!!
tourist trap
Don't move to Charleston!! We are full. Traffic sucks everyday!!
thank you
