I loved reading the Young Justice comic and In my opinion I think its better than the Young Justice cartoon. It was a fun comic book and all the characters were written very well. My fav character is Impulse because he's hilarious and there is a bit of a childlike innocence in him when he does things without thinking.
to be fair in the comics he's like 3-4 years old mixed with a14 yrs old due to growing with a virtual reality program.
I loved how Sb and Robin ended up kinda being substitute for parents as well as his best friends. Their dynamic was super sweet (which made apokolips that much more heartwrenching)

Thanks for giving that explanation of Secret cause the one episode they had her in Young Justice was really confusing on why she was there in the first place and now it makes me sad that they really never explained that she was originally part of the Team and had a much bigger role

I treat the Young Justice TV show like an Elseworlds story. It was confirmed to take place on a different earth, which is why it's different from the comics. While it didn't barrow from any of the stories, I loved what they did with the characters and where the story was going as well as the maturity with the show.
It was also boring and make the Justice League kind of dicks

secret and her brother were in the show, though I think that time around they had made it so he killed her dad before the dad killed him
I think it would have been better, if for DC Rebirth, Damian, John(New Superboy), Wally(N52) all formed the second Young Justice, instead of them being on the Teen Titans.

I wish they would print young justice in a few graphic novels so I can buy them. I would buy the comics but they're so expensive buying them individually. I've read a few of them online and I love them (because the main trio are great). Oh well, I can hope.

I mean the older ones, like if they collected them in a few volumes. Oh well, if they don't I'll hopefully have enough money to buy them in the future. :3
No, that's what I'm saying, they did that in 2011 to go along with the cartoon, BEFORE the cartoon got its own comic, they released the original young justice in trade form :p

I demand DC reprint the original young justice comic again in graphic novel form or relaunch it with the original members but have the original Bart Allen appear because he's immune to time alterations or something (I don't know if that true but I read it some where)
I love the Young Justice comic. As you mentioned, its light hearted nature mixed with the fact it depicted teens being teens was something I seriously enjoyed. And as someone who was a fan of Teen Titans from 2007 through toward the end of the first volume of the New 52 era, I can say there was nothing like it in DC Comics. From Dante's Disco Inferno to the death of Arrowette's therapist (where after everything, she worries she will become a villain and have to get cleavage,) to parent issues and Arrowette's mother living vicariously through her, this series was amazing. While I loved Geoff Johns' run, I feel no one else was able to capture the spirit of youth effectively.

The Young Justice animation, which I discovered and devoured on You Tube, was the single best superhero animation series I've yet seen. I know what its like to be devoted to a comic book series; I was nuts about Marv Wolfman's and George Perez's Teen Titans of the 80's, and the Young Justice anime pushed the same buttons, and it moved and talked too! Praise your comic books by all means, but give the anime the respect it was due.
The Super Cycle originated in The Forever People, and was called the Whiz Wagon. They also introduced the Mother Box and the Boom Tube (in coordiation with The New Gods, Mr. MIracle, and Jimmy Olsen, Superman's Friend-- which was a lot better than it sounded.)

and just like graduation day, the death of omen, and omen as a character, were just, sorta...glanced over. she wasn't important, no big deal. not like she was a character with some sort of development. nope she was just death fodder.
Two minutes into this video and there are already a couple more similarities between the show and the comics than you were letting on :P
Don't get me wrong, the show is still the loosest of loose adaptions but you made it seem like they didn't adapt a single thing XD

First comic I ever read where someone flat out murdered someone, like dead dead. Issue...5? Where Harm was shot by his step father. Granted he was a bad guy, but damn.
I liked how they inserted social issues (gun registration, racism -like with the history teacher, ect...) in small portions but with so little chill.

Peter Davis is probably my favorite 'team' books writer. He had an almost perfect understanding of the characters (hell he wrote robin better than anyone who isn't Dixon for example. they weren't all bad, for example Lewis is the best TimSteph writer and is the only one (with Davis and Dixon) who made me like their relationship even without shipping it and willingham was the worst -and yet he's still better than Lobdell and Tynion- but even he had some nice writing going on here and there -scarce but there)
I was in my mid-20's and I LOVED the Original Young Justice.i just wished the CN network show was as fun as YJ.The closest thing on TV at the Time was Teen Titans GO!,but it didn't have the bad ass chemistry that the Original YJ series had

I watched the show first and seeing the difference between the show and the comic is crazy, I need to read the comics now!
So who would you have be on a new young justice team. Because many of the original young justice members (including myself) are already teen titans.
I would like to revamp this series with the Children of the original Titans like , Lian Harper , Iris West & maybe Mari Grayson ;) . All girls, opposite of the original 3 members of young Justice.

Honestly, i can see a show or series of movies, with this original team, with the tone of the first season of young justice, teen titans, gravity falls, amphibia, like a light show with some dark undertones, i would really like to see that.
Conner and Cassie are my favorite DC couple I hate that DC hasn't done much to anything with this relationship

Geoff Johns literally destroyed their characters, relationships, whole generation and future. The most drastic difference in character can be seen in Superboy, but everyone else got butchered as well

I'm now interested in reading this comic series because I've always wondered if it was good or not but after watching this video and finding out that Peter David (Best known for his run on "The Incredible Hulk" comics and the Aquaman comics where Aquaman got a harpoon hand, a beard, and a new outfit) wrote the series, I'm now interested in reading this comic-book series.
Only downside is that DC has not reprinted the entire series in some graphic novels but at least they're available digitally on comixology. Oh well.
If you think of it like I do, this team died in 2011, with flash point, teen titans vol 3 was a sequel to Young Justice not the previous teen titans run

The Young Justice comic series does look pretty rad.
Though, I still prefer the show.
The comics are SO different to the Young Justice TV show!! But I do not find them to be better like you quite obviously do.
the problem with the cartoon is that it's closer to Teen Titans which was the sidekick's team. the plot is still meh (it's good for a cartoon but not that good) they also have too much of a tendency to put romance everywhere and use it mostly for character development which prevents actual character development because it's only development toward the other.
The comics are more about wayward children who found a place to belong and as Robin says 'Now that they found each other they hold on as tight as they can'. which is something that a lot of people missed when YJ stopped because even if the friendship and sorta family theme was still there it wasn't as strong. So when the cartoon was announced it was the chance to divert from Teen Titans.
Also the writer haas no chill and though they n't speak That much about social issues but when they did they had absolutely no chill and it was awesome.
There's also the thing for Tim Drake fans. For a character who was always in the shadow of Jason and was lonely, it was his first time having something akin to friends (though there are Steph and Connor Hawke on the side, there's no real friendship between Connor and Tim at the time and Steph is a love interest). It's his team. And it's actually that way for most of the members.
It's a very heartwarming series and is more about characters than plot (though when there is, it's actually well done).
Though I am not exactly a fan of the cassiexsuperboy couple they were fairly cute
The Young Justice cartoon is mostly based on Teen Titans (to lesser extent the Outsiders). Its has nothing to do with the source material other than the name and that's why Faust is kinda pissed with the cartoon.
I read a lot of the Young Justice comics, then the place I got them stopped getting them and I missed the ending.

Robin and Superboy met before Robin teamed with Impulse. They met in the comic Robin+Superboy where they teamed up against Metallo and Poison Ivy.

I think it would've been awesome if they had static shock join the teen titans and/or young justice...in the comic books anyway.
+Aaron Carter ITs just static. And he was actually a teen titan post crisis wise. Now a days they are going to sort of focus on the original milestone version of static in the upcoming milestone novels. Prime earth static it seems like they are just going to ignore him for awhile.

i fell in love with these comics 2 years ago, but i read only the first 12 comics becouse it´s to hard to find them in spanish (i´m from south america). but yeah, i´m in love with Tim, Kon and Bart. they´re so cute as kids!

I knew they weren't active for a while but not sure specifically, I knew more than five years for sure. Really liked the show, even though the comic based on the show was just bad. The original comic itself seems very good and undoubtedly worth reading.

Can someone answer a quick question for me on the topic of Superboy? My question is that was there more than one Superboy ever? One called Connor and one called Conner?
no. sometimes people write connor instead of conner. The only Connor I know of is Connor Hawke, the Green Arrow. though there are 2 superboys other than Conner/Kon-el : Young Clark Kent (superboy v1 and v2 and infinite crisis) and Clark Kent.and Lois Lane's son : Jon (who will have his series with robin 5/Damian wayne in rebirth 'Super Sons' which seems like Rebirth's equivalent of Young Justice comics but with only 2 characters....even if I'm still convinced it should be about Tim and Kon, but Kon is dead and Tim has been turned into Tony Stark Jr. since the beginning of N52 so it might actually be better that way)
