@@kennybewley2191 Well it's more of an Interceptor that's meant to carry a lot of missiles to shoot down bombers. But gaijin added the Phantom without its main armament(aim-7s), and given gunpod/s that's not properly adjusted for air-to-air combat. and some performance nerfs because gaijin

Mig21 R-60 Missiles: *Am I a joke to you?*
Yeah right, the Mig21 MF, SMT, bis are better than the j7 expect the Mig21F-13 that is worse. The j7 has just 2 simple missiles the SMT, MF and bis have 4 or 6 R60s, which are way better, the bis has flares. So go for the Russians if you want a mig21, if you want the F104 go for the Chinese because you'll have a mig21 ( j7 ) and 2 F-104.

Great video. Those tips at the end seem very applicable to the Russian Mig 21 too. I wish you'd done the Russian one first though, as only wallet warriors flying Samsung F5's, and CZcamsrs have the J7 so early
When I finally flew the Mig21, I was so disappointed. I couldn't do it first, plus I hadn't uploaded much. I put it off for too long

I have a lot of fun in the mig 21 to be honest. Not easy to get kills but it's probably the weirdest, most interesting, and challenging plane of 1.91. My best kills is 4 in a game, but my favorite match was me alone defensive flying against 6 enemies for a solid 5 minutes before an SRAAM finally got me
@@theraindog4269 sounds about right. Been my experience as well, and I don't consider that fun lol. I've only managed 3 kills before running out of ammo though, but I only have like 6 games in it.
Just not enjoyable.

However, if you were to think about the future of the tree? Would you choose the Chinese or the Russian tree?
Hard to say, Russians will probably get Mig-21 Bis... and I have a feeling that will be better than J7. Chinese will always be the copycats, so I can't say that either would be worse than the other though.
Props can’t be targeted with rockets or can be but very up close where you really can’t be sure you’ll live if you lounch it, they can outturn you and when stalled outspeed you but I mean just enough to kill you... I got 4 kills with a BF109 K4 just for fun... it’s kinda fun to bring props in a jet game because top tier is depressing... 😏

The F4 needs no flight performance buff the cannon just needs to actually align with the gun reticle and not shoot low
F-4 is still nerfed, look at its climbrate ingame and in reallife, there is a big difference
If they buff the F4 more than it is right now, it will be completely untouchable and kill the balance of the game. It's honestly not that bad, I just wish it could pull a little better, oh yeah and gun alignment.

So he won two kills to incompetent players. Every player who brings in a prop into a jet match sprays in a head on, in desperation. Taking them head on isn't the brightest move. Sorry buddy but my point still stands. Gaijin encourages this crap with their thunder show.... But the reality is match is already over by the time the prop even gets into the battle.

As an F-4 guy i flinch everytime i see one of these things on my six. MiG-19s? A pain but they can be dodged. But if a 21 wants you? If you can't burn away it's gonna get you. Wish I could poke them with a Sparrow from 8km out.
You're also much faster than the 19S. J7 is quite scary!

Shooting slow is weird in the j7. generally if your slow and theyre slow, dont lead, like at all.
ugh the mach cloud is horrendous. There seriously needs to be an option to turn it off or at least deactivate for your own plane. And I'm with you on the low speed right in front of me missing all the shots. That f5 cut in was nasty oooh

Its more dependent on altitude. On the deck, couple minutes. At altitude you can almost indefinitely burn, but your fuel wont last long.

thx bro, u make me feel confident on j7 just when i thought it was a bullshit which cannot even beat a pretier j6/mig19, but the thing is, how do u get out of hunter mk6? like how could u deal with those 20g overload missles??? my 10 times free repair went so fast, which is, never happened, and usually beat by t2, hunter mk6 and f4c, but mig19s was like jesus...unless i am in 1200+, never able to escape when mnvr...well done 4 the video btw, even Chinese players cannot fly j7 really well and u made it, congratulations.
Thanks bud. In general I don't have to deal with hunters because I stay fast, and away from them. Situational awareness keeps me safe. I don't think I ever really had to encounter on because most people know to kill that thing asap. You can definitely park on its ass though, it will not be able to shake you. Just don't overshoot.

I've been running around 'lead sledding' with it and it's definitely a blast, but in a defensive situation I'd definitely take my J7! Offensive the Phantom owns it all day for sure.

Does anyone else struggle with aiming at top tier air rb? Can’t hit shit in either the F-4C or the F-100D. I usually play Air Arcade because of this, but the F-4 doesn’t struggle as much in realistic because its missile-reliant, so I’m trying to learn
I run 400 convergence it helps with the close shots but can still hit at 1km out. Nice video though man
small difference, that doesn't really matter much in the end since they're nose mounted. Only thing that will really affect them is vertical, which is not recommended

J7 > MiG 21 F-13
The J7 is equal to a MiG 21 F-13 (the first MiG 21) but has *better engine* , *better guns* and *ammo capacity*
J7 < MiG 21 SMT
The SMT has *better engine* and *acceleration* , has *lot more fuel* (you can see the big fuel tank on the plane), The SMT comes also with R60 very powerful Air to Air missiles.
J7 < MiG 21 bis
The bis is slightly better in *engine* and *equipment* , it has R60 missiles and a good *radar*
J7 < ➕MiG 21 MF
The MF (the German one) has no RWR even if in real life it has, but Gaijin is a Russian company so they make Germany suffer a lot. The MF has better *missiles*
🔺Conclusion:
Go for the Russian tech tree, better engines, missiles, radars...ect. And also think that Russia and USA, in the future, will become the nations with most new aircrafts like F35 and mig29.
J7 will be better then the MiG-21 at least till gaijin adds the MiG-21BIS/UM. Only reason J-7 is better is cause its based on a newer model then the one the USSR was given.

J21RA is a pretty good jet. I enjoy it. J29A can be painful, but the D or F will be a bit of an upgrade when you get them

yeah i have a question, why are you talking about Migs, Super Saber and Phantom but not even once mention how this thing stack s up with T-2 ... you know another plane that can go supersonic on the deck ...
I knew I forgot something. I was gonna put that in there, I promise. All you really need to do against the T2 is bleed it of speed. It's a slight bit better this patch, but it still can't pull the Gs the J7 can... Once the T2 is slow, it becomes a whale and is fairly easy to ignore, or fight.

Like how a few 30mm rounds can do more damage than an entire burst of 20mm vulcan rounds. The vulcan sparks so much for no reason. My ping is low so its either the servers are shit or the vulcan doesn’t do any damage
It's the servers. It's the same reason you can't spray 50 cals. Just can't handle it all.
WhooptieDo yeah cuz in ground forces when they added the M163 it had the same issue so I figured it would happen when they added jets with the vulcan. It really sucks and is why I prefer missile combat for now.
@@SteelxWolf I'll just take regular cannons. For now. The servers are far worse than what's happening with Vulcan cannons right now. Entire matches are just crashing into the ground cuz the server lags out.
